pre-big bang player here, I recently came back to the game (blind) now that im a little older and have the funds for it. I made a ridiculous error by not checking which region i was playing. I grinded out 7 characters to 200 and started expiriencing latency issues, come to find out i was on the EU region. This short-cut to 200 is HUGE for me cuz now i dont have to worry about grinding out all those characters again on the US region. cant wait for this update and getting the grind started FOR REAL this time.
Excited for this! I literally just got back to playing GMS since pre-big bang when the level cap was still 200. After a week, I got a DW to 141. Literally yesterday, I got a Huoyoung to 151 and a Mercedes to 104 in less than 3 hours. Aran and shade were on the list to make, but cool to see another burning event for them.

I personally call gold richie's safe the "guild war event", since with enough people/accounts, you can eliminate numbers until only a specific number works.
Holy shit, idk about most people, but not having to do some spreadsheet to schedule shit, and then FORGETTING ABOUT THAT SPREADSHEET. Just having a planner in game might actually get me to progress, I log in, do dailies, and just forget there is more game to do. That might be the biggest QOL for my ADHD brain.
What I am interested in though is how the 0-200 grind will be handled with zero, because of the class being so story driven for a very prolonged period of the progression until 180.
Damn! I'm so glad I decided to give Ms another shot after the whole NA reboot and cubing debacle. This definitely sounds very promising and a step in the right direction! Now if only they could bring back party exp and party zones to make people more sociable and make grinding with others actually possible, it might go back to it's hayday but I have a feeling that's long gone. @@Duky Yeah, especially with all the Growth Potions we're getting all the times. On Interactive server, I now have several pages with characters on 200+, most because of Growth Potions. Among them Shade and Aran. XD
tbh i would quit this game long time ago if my friend introduce me into this game and guide me through everything, it is good to see they change so much to help the newbies, it would help a lot. also shout out to all the walk through guide creators and my friend.
this update looks really good, it seems similar to when the "big bang patch" came out in terms of game improvements as a whole. Do you think in time they will do a "numbers crunch" for the inflation of damage numbers and character level? they have done this a few times in WoW to make it easier to track dps and im sure in the background for the game as well not to juggle such high values. is there a ETA for this patch?

there are certain dailies you want to start as quickly as possible like hellux. If you start when this update comes out, you could be behind on that VS starting ASAP. You can wait to finish later if you want, but I recommend starting your main asap
one thing that's always unclear to me with these class burn events is can i use it on ones i have already? i got a 120 aran and 180 shade sitting around, but if its for new ones only i should just delete them before the event starts no?

It’s actually a big nerf to the class. We’re losing a lot of final damage and tempest is getting a fat nerf. We’re getting a new hyper skill that’s our new best strongest non-origin skill so our burst will be very strong for like a 15-20 second period or so but outside that burst window we’re a lot weaker than before

The point of number crunch is to solve an architectual problem with the servers of FFXIV not being able to handle large numbers. It has nothing to do with players being too powerful.
When will this update come to GMS? And if I want to burn aran and shade should I wait for the remaster and burn them individually or should I burn in the event coming tomorrow June 12th?
Tbh without sounding like gatekeeping I don’t like the 0-200 main story quest update Hitting level 200 isn’t hard but there is a sense of pride in having 30 or 40 characters at that point. It takes some strategy and planning around events to be easy but it wasn’t broken to the point it needed to be given to us

As a new player, lvl 1-200 is learning the basics of your combos for some of these classes
nah trust, 0-200 is nothing nowadays
0-100 is mostly learning some buffs and a bunch of attacking skills you'll likely never use.

Shade and Aran revamps still play the same, this is mostly visual with some slight gameplay adjustments.

It’s not a hyper burn it’s a Tera burn for aran and shade
It's the 2nd, 1 hyper burning + tera blink for aran OR shade and 1 normal one we always get. So 2 hyper burning in total
