I believe everything they said about Lizzo. She definitely comes across as someone who can have a mean streak. Her instability online was always very telling. With the Lizzo situation, I was watching a different video on the lawsuit where a lawyer was asked for his take. The lawyer mentioned that this lawsuit hasn't even been officially filed, it was just leaked to the media. The lawyer said because it hasn't been officially filed yet, it felt like more of a shakedown because, at least with what we know now, he says that the dancers would get more money in a settlement than if they go to court. Now this isn't to say I think these women are lying. Lizzo has said and done some inappropriate things, and the fact that more people are coming out definitely makes me think the work environment was hostle. I feel like the problem stems from low self esteem. Despite the big show of confidence that Lizzo likes to put on, the mask has slipped from time to time and you can tell she's insecure. And for some people when they are insecure, they like to lord any power they have over other people to make themselves feel better.

An NDA can't stop the dancers from launching a lawsuit over the allegations of s*xual harassment, racial discrimination, and religious discrimination. The question is would leaking the lawsuit to the media count as a violation of the NDA. I personally, in my not a lawyer opinion, would say yes. If the lawsuit was filed then leaked I would say Lizzo has no grounds, because court records are public unless a judge says otherwise. But it hasn't been filed, and that's what makes me feel the leak is a violation of a hypothetical NDA.
regarding the weight comments it kinda makes sense… Like dancers are often contractually obligated to keep the same weight and not change their look too much on tour because of possible issues with costume design. On big tours such as Lizzo’s the costumes are custom built for the dancer and are in general very expensive designer clothes. If you gain too much weight you might not be able to fit in a costume causing difficulties with putting the show together because you cannot go on stage and a replacement would need to be designed for you. That’s just a huge hassle.

With the Lizzo situation, I was watching a different video on the lawsuit where a lawyer was asked for his take. The lawyer mentioned that this lawsuit hasn't even been officially filed, it was just leaked to the media. The lawyer said because it hasn't been officially filed yet, it felt like more of a shakedown because, at least with what we know now, he says that the dancers would get more money in a settlement than if they go to court.
Now this isn't to say I think these women are lying. Lizzo has said and done some inappropriate things, and the fact that more people are coming out definitely makes me think the work environment was hostle. I feel like the problem stems from low self esteem. Despite the big show of confidence that Lizzo likes to put on, the mask has slipped from time to time and you can tell she's insecure. And for some people when they are insecure, they like to lord any power they have over other people to make themselves feel better.

An NDA can't stop the dancers from launching a lawsuit over the allegations of s*xual harassment, racial discrimination, and religious discrimination. The question is would leaking the lawsuit to the media count as a violation of the NDA. I personally, in my not a lawyer opinion, would say yes. If the lawsuit was filed then leaked I would say Lizzo has no grounds, because court records are public unless a judge says otherwise. But it hasn't been filed, and that's what makes me feel the leak is a violation of a hypothetical NDA.
regarding the weight comments it kinda makes sense… Like dancers are often contractually obligated to keep the same weight and not change their look too much on tour because of possible issues with costume design. On big tours such as Lizzo’s the costumes are custom built for the dancer and are in general very expensive designer clothes. If you gain too much weight you might not be able to fit in a costume causing difficulties with putting the show together because you cannot go on stage and a replacement would need to be designed for you. That’s just a huge hassle.
