Paradox: Okay guys, lets get started on the Sunset Invasion DLC and we can release it by April 1st 202- Community: Makes Sunset Invasion in 3 days Paradox: FUUUUUU-
Thank you so much for featuring my Sunset Invasion mod :D I have had a very interesting reception so far. Safe to say that more colonial mechanics are in store for the future!
@@ikschrijflangenamen Did you ever play a game called "Theocracy"? You could get some names from there. The game was one of my first intros to grand strategy.
They could have early access. However, I believe that mod like the game of thrones mod is going to take a lot longer due to the fact that they need custom maps. The few total conversion mods we have now are still based in some form on Europe and North Africa. So they could save time by not having to make a custom map.
@@freemonk5552 Custom maps do not actually take a long time to be implemented in the CK games. Especially now in CK3 as they've added an integrated map editor.
I kinda hope they implement some colonial system to sunset invasion. Maybe some system when playing the colonial Aztecs in which you have to impress the emperor of the Aztecs to get more troops and supplies. Kinda like that dlc for total war warhammer in which you’re a colonial expansion of the empire and depending on how well you’re doing Carl Franz gives you more troops. This would be a great way to have a natural way of balancing the Aztecs as they will be stronger at first but when met with real resistance and start to lose they’ll start to weaken as the Aztec emperor starts to think it’s not worth sending men to a failing exposition. It’s also be fun as playing Aztecs as you could have other ways of trying to keep his interest like raiding for treasures, sending slaves or declaring wars to sacrifice people to the gods. I’d love to see if else anyone thinks this system would work or if id be fun
Thank you for your ideas for my mod! I have actually mostly implemented a decision to ask the overlords for troops, but it was just cut for release as the AI couldn't use it well. Hope to re-add it later.
@@ikschrijflangenamen That sounds awesome thanks for taking the time to read my comment! I'm not a modder so idk if the other stuff I said is doable but I wonder if there's any way to implement a third resource like piety or prestige in which you gain favor with Overlord and hit levels of favor which give you buffs. Kinda like prestige you could spend it for actions but keep certain thresholds kinda like levels of fame work. The maybe as you gain fame with the Overlord you lose opinion with all non-Aztec players to indicate that they see you as a threat while gaining favor with Aztecs because of your influence. Either way thank you so much for putting your time into modding the game and all the effort you put into making great mods for us to play! You just gotta give it to Paradox on this point: while seemingly most larger tiltles and companies increasingly fence in their intellectual property, Paradox clearly recognizes the added value of mods to their games. While Creative Assembly (Total War) dumbs down their games to a bare minimum, modding possibilities could have broadened their games' scope, replayability and audience. It's a sad development from the promise of possibilities their games once held. Had it not been for the availability of mods, I (and I beilieve many others) would not have dropped the incredible amount of time into Eu4 that I did, or bought nearly all DLCs. I sometimes recommend the Paradox games to others because of the great mods specifically. The modding community around Paradox games is incredible, and has my outmost respect and admiration for their creativity and dedication. And it makes me really happy to see that Paradox recognizes this for what it is.
My two favorite mods are way more subtle than these, because I'm still trying to keep the game ironman compatible, but I highly recommend checking out "Brighter Portraits" and "CK2 Style Colorful Education Traits". The first one fixes the issue of the character portraits being weirdly in the dark, as if they had a shadow filter over them which was driving me crazy with anxiety before the release. After this mod I couldn't play the game without it anymore, it's just so essential for me. The second one gives the education traits colored backgrounds and replaces the learning one's graphic with a clearer open book icon. Just a little tweak, but helps distinguish them from each other with a glance.
3:04 Paradox is the owner of the World of Darkness and the other White Wolf IPs, but they don't do anything with them! I want a CK3 with the Exalted setting!
I dunno about you guys, but I personally can't wait for WTWSMS to be reborn in this game, if the mod devs wanna do that I mean. I loved it in CK2, and having it in CK3 would simply be amazing.
q qq It is? YAY! I tried looking on their sub-form in Paradox Plaza and wasn't sure where they would put that announcement. Thank you, you've made my day even better.

Thank you , keep doing this videos , im new in this kind of games so is hard to check what mods are good or not , having a content creator showing and speaking about them makes it easier to me :)
Some months ago, you promoted a mod called AVE MARIA, the guy already did some very ealy alpha in ck2 and is now adapting it to ck3 to continue the project, for now it has a completely new imperial/caliphate governmente system to the ERE, Fatmids and Seljuks, a reworked feudal system, population and economy system (but very incomplete still, it isn't really usable yet) and reworked personality traits

The Bronze age mod is amazing. I enjoy the time period more more than the base games time period so I can easily see myself spending more time in that mod than in the base game. CK3 is going to be all about the bronze age for me.
I am so looking forward to the ck3 version of "Faerun" (forgotten realms conversion mod for ck2). The knight/prowess system is something that could be amazing in a world of wizards and dragons.

the only thing that stops me from becoming an early adopter is I worried this game will turn out like its predecessor and will have the vast majority of its features [many of which were a genre standard 10 years ago] locked behind a series of increasingly numerous and content sparse expansions that need each other to get the full experience of just one of them.
I have a mod idea, but it has some features different from Imperator and Eu4 counterparts - CK series doesnt have colonization mechanics. With that in mind, my mod would need to focus in war against natives to have progress.
