Dana Point Harbor, CA is getting a facelift! Well, it’s more than a facelift! We’re giving it new life!
Revitalization is much more than a basic makeover, it is giving it rejuvenation, a rebirth if you will. We live in an age of progress and time has come for the challenge progress to be faced with our efforts to revitalize our beloved Dana Point Harbor. This is where we work, play…LIVE!
Now, truth be told, progress and change is never easy! So it is a love / hate relationship and honestly speaking I was not a fan of the renovation at first. But like all things, there is a bright side to everything and the more you spend time with the new and accepting things in the past are gone the more you grow fond of the new and what it will bring.
In the grand scheme of things, the positives way out weigh the negatives. While sad at times and we’ll miss the OG shops and restaurants for those who don’t survive the change, the new brings sustainability, more safety and upgraded amenities in order to not only keep up but be ahead of the curve of progress. This is for our future generations ladies and gentlemen. This revitalization is a huge undertaking and kudos to the harbor management the ‘shuffle’ is moving along and progress is happening right before our eyes!
Personally, I am a captain, owner / operator Off The Grid Ocean Adventures (www.otglifestyle.com) and along with the activities I offer which includes most major water activities such as fishing, whale watching, inner-tubing, surf shuttle, Catalina cruises and in my last video, you see me even towing some boats, I spend a lot of time at the harbor across multiple communities. I believe that the more we progress with this growth the more we will love it, protect it and make it much more user friendly which in turn brings more visitors boosting the economy.
Take a look at this article (Dana Point Times link) which relates to the marine preserves just north of the harbor offshore. Just to prove there are both sides to a story, every effort onshore and offshore is to ensure we have brighter future and leaving a safe, pristine and vibrant community for the future generations.
