Everyone Hates The Sound Of Their Own Voice

On the phone apparently,my voice sounds cutsy like a cartoon elf or a plush talking is what I have been told but that's absolutely not the case in real life or in recording. It sounds deep in real life and nasal on recordings.

SAME!! I don't get it. When I've sent my boyfriend voice messages in chat, it sounds horrible! I feel the same.. My voice sounds deeper and more smooth in person, but over a recording it just sounds nasally and annoying 😑

I hate my voice I think it sounds annoying and awkward..People think I sound like a kid when I take phone calls..I am 30 years old! 😓

No for real though, I cringe every time I hear a voice recording of myself because I sound like I’m 13 years old and I have an accent and I talk fast and I also think I have a lisp, so it’s hard for me listen to my own voice, but other people tell me that my voice sounds very nice. Right ✅ Physics explains the voice: vibrations emphasize lower frequencies. Thus, your voice is deeper than you "hear" 👂yourself, in your head.
Singing lessons and speaking lessons help improve your tone and can increase range (usually higher range). Example. I took such lessons. This, I am more comfortable with my voice than before I did.😌

I don’t believe this. Like, some people get complimented on their voice. I have NEVER heard anyone say they liked my voice (I don’t blame them). I know there are some people who like their voice. There is no way all these singers and voice actors think their voice is awful. They make a living from it. Not saying none feel that way, though. Just an example, though.
