  • Allowing your ego to distract you mentally can be the silent killer to your success.
    As a race driver you must take responsibility for your mental focus.
    I hope this helps

    its important to have confidence in yourself. you need to be to perform well. but overconfidence not only ruins your relationship with others but also affects you more once things dont go your way

    New season!!! Love the content. I do have a question about the balance of ego and goals. Every driver wants to prove they are the best and can beat anyone else and get the good results. For me, it’s what drives me. I push myself hard to be the best. It sounds like that’s all ego. I get you don’t want to be thinking that when your in the kart, but what is the right balance between ego and your goals for the next session?

    • @EnzoMucci
      @EnzoMucci  Год назад

      I like to think of it like this. By all means use the goal for becoming best driver out there as motivation, to get you training and working harder. This adds drive. But when on track your mind needs to be on the task in hand, you no longer think of others, you just seek and destroy. That make sense?

      @@EnzoMucci Yes! Use it for fuel outside of the track to train and work hard, but keep your head in the game and focus at the track.

    Hey Enz, I'm a bit older than you, I find amazing you have Kobe Bryan as mentor in some way. Michael Jordan was the Ayrton Senna of basketball , I wish you had seen him playing!!! , anyways interesting speech, what drivers you have right now at F3 and F2? I don't usually follow that category unless I see something special but I'm curious now which drivers are you coaching.

    • @EnzoMucci
      @EnzoMucci  Год назад +2

      Hi MV. Ah yes don’t worry. I too am head over heels for Michael Jordan. I’m not far off 50 years old so I did watch him play and like with Kobe, I also listen to MJ a lot. Probably as much a Kobe actually. So I agree with you. On F2 I am with Oliver Bearman and I also keep an eye on Ollie Gray and Sophia in F3.

    i have a question, i have £5 to my name, my parents are working class and live on a council estate and do karting every weekend,but i do have connections, my uncle in law races ford fiestas. im 14 and improve by about a second every week at my indoor karting course. do you think i can make it to be a racing driver , and if you think i can what do you think my next steps should be?

    • @EnzoMucci
      @EnzoMucci  Год назад +1

      Hi Charlie. You remind me of myself when I was young. I too had zero cash and was born in a council estate. If it were you I would continue to do karting on a cheap level, just to feed your hunger, but focus on the long term goal of saving money up for when you are old enough to compete in one for the 750 motor club championships. They are championships designed for people who do not spend a lot on their racing. Fiestas is good place to start. Go to races and help your Uncle out. I am sure that he will help you once you are old enough.
