Eckhart Tolle is one of my absolute heros. Even after listening to Alan Watts since I was a teenager, on the back end of a failed relationship I listened to the Power Of Now about 10 times, and it helped me transmute the suffering and grief into complete peace and joy, and inspired me to start my coaching practice and channel to help others.

I have a 9 year old son, and I really used to get a little upset with myself for bringing him into this world. My faith in humanity was so low and I didn't want him to suffer. But now, I feel he is here for an important reason and will help spread the love that so many of us need. Everything happens for a reason.

My fears came from seeing first hand what people do to other people, racism, hate crimes, gang violence, military being used for an agenda other than peace etc... All I could picture was how I'd feel if my son had to go through what I witnessed. It's an awesome/beautiful world, and a dangerous one too. Now, I'm just at a point of acceptance that I'm teaching him everything I can to assist his survival when I'm gone. Thanks for the words, I enjoy discussions like these.💯

A year ago, i remember walking down the river feeling so stressed and depressed about life, a year later i'm walking along the same walk but feeling calmer and having little moments of bliss. i know i must carry on this path, no going back. i'm going to be watching plenty of Eckhart from this point forward to help me on my path

The process of breaking the shell of our own EGO and embracing the Universe with sense of belonging and Inclusiveness is the journey of life towards Awakening. Stronger the EGO, stronger the feeling of suffering. Accept it as process for Awakening, less is the suffering in due transformation. Our loved children too have to go through.. Thanks Eckhart. When the temple guards were sent to arrest Jesus, he was speaking to the people and the guards were not able to lay hands on him because they have never heard anyone speak like him. If someone calls us fat, we only suffer when we provide value to it, own it and then attack ourselves. Emotional pain cannot be inflicted on us, we choose to cause ourselves to suffer...it is a masochistic way of life.

You can accept suffering by understanding that it's a signal. When you go in the wrong direction you suffer. Every single one of us destroys the planet by our very own choices - most of them being unconscious.
You think you need a large SUV? You probably need to bolster your ego with it. Most probably you don't even need a car in many places.
I live in a very car and meat loving society yet I have chosen not to eat animal products or drive. I also don't fly despite this country having the most frequently traveling population.
Yet I don't feel limited at all. I discovered lots of tasty foods as a vegan, I can walk 10km any day, I prefer to travel by train. All of these choices reduce my carbon footprint immensely and make me much healthier.

"Ego" is a natural function of the biological human body. "Ego" is nothing than a label which subsumes certain behaviors and thought mechanisms the human animal uses to accomplish its biological imperatives. Believing that one is a separate, accountable entity is necessary to make the body work in a certain purposeful and directional way and thus secure the continuity and development of the species.
While stuff like Eckhard's is really interesting in a way and while most of us know states in which our ego temporarily seems to disappear (which usually make us somehow happy), it's absolutely futile to think that it is possible or even desirable to "eliminate" or "transcend" ego. Because we are animals, and "ego" is just as much a part of our mechanism like our liver or our bones.

Pain is inevitable in life you con't avoid it. Pain leads to suffering and suffering is a choice, it's totally optional. Most of our planet loves to be miserable because it's a normal feeling for most people. I refuse to suffer because life is too short. When you have peace within there is no more suffering!

  • @noelkinz

The only reason that you suffer is because you are trying to manifest every single desire at the same time, and the only reason for time is so that you can manifest every single desire one moment at a time. When you put your faith in time and start to believe that with time everything that you want will happen, with time will happen.

Or change it by resisting? fighting? or simply by accepting what is and a shift in my consciousness WILL change the collective to a more peaceful one-

When I think about past or future, it's easy to become unhappy. But when I'm here and now, just being, then there's such happiness to be. I don't even need to seek happiness, it is effortlessly here when attention is not immersed in thought. Yet thoughts are free to come and go and there is also the freedom to not pay attention to them. I Am. No matter what thoughts say, I as formless consciousness is here always and not affected by any thought, feeling or sensation. I am not the person identity that is made up from the senses and memory. The person is a fleeting experience but I am the awareness that always is
