Shovel site move done by Mammoet close to Edson, Alberta. Took a fully loaded 793 to get these boys rollin up that grade! Felt my heart in my chest with all that diesel power roaring!
Truck looks like an older generation 793. I've run the newer ones where the stairs are diagonal across the radiator instead of a ladder. And the Hitachi shovel... Never ran a shovel but I sat in the cab of a Hitachi 5500 just like the one in the video for an hour while the operator loaded trucks. Except the one I was in had like an elevator lift, not a stairway like that one. As frustrated as I get it's good to remember I have one of the coolest jobs around.
Still the best way and most cost effective way to move a massive piece of equipment especially inside the Mine site.. the Time alone to get it back to work asap makes it worth all this effort
I am more surprised there are no traction cleats on the Hitachi drive tracks. The pads are almost polished smooth, That would be a scary ride if that thing started to track slide
Something with a lot of weight, and horsepower, that's on site, nearby, available for a short time, assisting a load uphill, and that's the craziest thing you've ever seen?
No matter how big a truck you get, there’s always a bigger truck.
Too COOL!! I can't imagine the forces on that first tow cable! I wouldn't want to be the person driving the first truck!!
That's exactly what I thought of. If that cable snaps that driver is a dead man.
So that is a CAT 797, hauling 5 Kenworth tractors and one monster of a Hitachi excavator - you're right that is crazy
My thoughts exactly!
@@TheUncleCletusHeaded for the mercoal mine ?Have a huge die cast collection of stripping shovels & excavators. Great video.
there is not 5 Kenworth's in the video, at least 4 of them are western star.
Seems the Mammoet trucks are simply being pulled along by the 797
Mammout best in the business 👍
Absolutely brother

The difference in scale makes my brain itch.
Those trucks look like toys. Hahaha beautifull.
@@pieterb8154 They really do! And those rigs are big compared to most! Video doesn’t do it justice compared to seein it in person
It's like comparing matchbox cars to the old Tonka toys, I thought the same thing.
Feel sorry for the poor apprentice who has to change the middle tyres on that low loader when they blow...
Hmm... You could be meaner still and ask him to check the pressures on all 288 of them!
@@davidstewart4570 😂😂
When it's heavy , It's real HEAVY .
I remember when that shovel was built, just down the road from the dry. My favourite place coal valley
I'm impressed with the speed they are traveling at. It would be interesting to know what the MPG is.
Check the third pull truck for frame stretch
wow 288 tires on trailer alone very impressive
The semi-trucks look like toys compared to the dump truck and digger.
Ok, who brought their kids tonka truck.
Omg the size of that dump truck
That 789 isn't even the biggest haul truck. Google CAT 795
It looks like it could pull that shovel without any help.

They need to get themselves a piacentini & son panther float, their biggest model has a 1,000,000kg payload capacity, all towed by a single haul truck
Not many chains ⛓️ holding everything in place 😂
WOW just WOW.
How would you like to check the tire pressure on that trailer?
That's for digging great big freaking holes......😂😂😂😂
Scooping, not digging.
Just retired from coal valley after 18.5 years good place to work and good people
kind of surprising they don't have a towhall trailer on that site
Those machines rarely move far.
That's amazing I subbed and liked... Maybe you need one of our rock splitter!
Thanks for the sub! I appreciate it!
When you need the really big guns.
HOLY CARP !
Carolina squat the first truck 😂😂😂😂
And that's just a 5500. Hitachi makes a model (the 8000) that's even larger.

I bet a Chevy, Ford and Dodge could have pull that machine with Toyota and Nissian behind😂. Cybertruck would of broken down 😂
Believe I just said 'omg' about 11 times
Белаз наверно сам бы мог тянуть эту конструкцию
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hello Uncle Cletus:
Now that's a HEAVY HAUL!!!
Yes sir buddy!! Diesel Power!
