Just come across your videos Joe and what a great teacher you are. You have a really friendly and simple way of communicating that makes your lessons feel like a shared experience. I don't know where J.J. played it but I play Cocaine down the neck with a capo on the first fret. Play a barre shape C at the third fret and lift off the open low E string for the riff. The Bb is played at the third fret as a barre A shape. The turnaround chords are barre G sharp to G. The capo keeps everything in key and allows you to use all six strings. I hope I've explained it but fiddle around with it and you'll see what I mean. All the best....
Great series Joe. Hope you continue with your JJ lessons. Enjoy your approach - just enough to get going with the songs (also your Martin sounds incredible)
Thank you Joe that's another great lesson and my next request was going to be cocaine! But you beat me to it, i will now go away and practise and think of another. Keep up the good work buddy its just a matter of time before people realise your on here and they start hitting that subscribe button. Your teaching is very beginner friendly and concise, just what the majority of guitarists want, Once again thanks. Mark.
Well If I ever decided to take up guitar - you have a very helpful relaxed approach. May I point out It appears at14:25 in Cocaine you are saying/ singinging "She don't liKe ....She don't liKe ..Cocaine ...would that were the case we could have perhaps been saved from Clapton's disastrous popularization - which wreaked havoc upon the lives of so many....[BTW I've written a rebuttal lyric: Cocaine('s) Lie(s) - with another melody and harmonized chords by sidekick Tom Simon]
Thank's man !! JJ Was a great musician, he left this world anonymously .. What a shame fora guy who has is own style ... JJ Cale Lesson suggestion :) Ride me high, After midnight, Old man, Rock 'n Roll record, Tijuana, Travelin' Light, I'm A Gypsy Man .. :) Yeah that's a request :) Thank's Again
SuperMax311 Your very welcome supermax. He was very inspirational to many musicians, as you say maybe he didn't get the recognition he deserved, still we wont forget him or his music. That's the second request for Travelling light, I will try and sort that out for you in a future lesson, also After midnight is a good shout.. Keep watching ;)

franckypie Franckypie, thanks for your comment. All I can say is, just try to play it slowly to start with. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as what I'm doing. Concentrate from 6.12 into the video and just check out right hand.
Hi Joe, many thanks for the JJ Cale lessons. You make it simple and interesting. I know it's been a few years since you did this series, however I'd love to learn Cajun Moon and the great intro. I've seen chords / tabs online but woul;d welcome your take on it. Cheers Brian
I really like your tutorials, thank you for your effort, just one small correction, In Dont Cry Sister Cry song, chorus (or Pre-Chorus) it is not every time Am-G-F-G, second time, on words WANTS MORE, he plays E major, not G, same on second chorus it should be for NOTHING YOU HAD, it is E major on "HAD", thank you again.
