Hey Happy New year to you Joe. Have been following you for a month or so. Really like what I have seen so far, love the song choices and now the blues lessons also spotted some JJ Cale, Right up my street so have started a regular donation. Excellent value for money. My goal for 2018 is to do an open mic night and I believe with your lessons and dedicated practice time I shall achieve it.
You’re welcome, thanks for taking the time to comment. If you haven’t already check my website you might like to do so, I have done quite a lot of blue stuff and it’s much easier to find there. All the best

Very good lesson! Very nice well aged 000-28 EC you have there mate. I have a 2014 000-28EC which is my favorite go to acoustic. The 000-28 is such an all around acoustic! I’m glad I found your channel you’re very informative.
Very sweet the 3:12 little lick between the shuffle. Walking before running! I'm trying to build my ability to "run" (to me it would be the original Delta blues... not very soon though haha). I love your videos! Thanks Joe!
Joe I love blues and simplicity. If you could build from there slowly you know add a little then next vid add a little ect... that would be awsome! Also could you play along with a metronome to give me an example. Thanks Joe your great man!
Fin Ogrady e minor or major, depending on what sound you want, happy is major a little more sad and dark sound is minor, but you can mix them and get and incredible sound
Hey Joe, your riff at 6:20 sounds like a simple version of Freddie King’s Hide Away. Although I like SRV’s cover better. Hope to be able to play it one day. This is a good starting point, thanks!
Hi Bob, first of all thanks for your support @ Patreon. Yeh there are some similarities with Freddie King. Often simplicity works as good as anything else. It’s amazing what can be done with just a few notes. It’s a journey and along the way we deepen our understanding until one day, we can fully express ourselves through our instrument. Which is far more important than how many notes we play or how quickly we play them. It is my hope to be able to help people grow as musicians. Keep plucking 😉
I love this stuff. It's exactly what I've been trying do do for a couple of years now. Great tips.

What pentatonic scale could you play with this ?
Fin Ogrady e minor or major, depending on what sound you want, happy is major a little more sad and dark sound is minor, but you can mix them and get and incredible sound
🔥🔥🔥🔥
You mention the importance of time but it seems like you 're squeezing an extra beat into the end of your shuffle. Or am I missing something?
Good timing doesn’t mean you are restricted to a certain amount of beats per bar
Your subtitles are blocking the view of the fretboard friend.Thank you though
