Man, I just wanna say that you deserve MAD respect. The guy like you on that level does not need to do this for the community but you still doing this. I like man, do not know what to say. Much respect.
This video was the most helpful by far on tone play. Not some 2 minute tutorial that barely explains anything. You see those types of videos everywhere. Thanks. Amazing job
Thank you so much for this video. You explained the process SO well and made it make sense. I mean, it takes me a LOT longer as a beginner, but I can now get there eventually!
THIS JUST BLEW MY MIND!!!!!! Thanks for the great and in-depth video. I am just about to hit the decks and work on my first tone play! Thanks a lot bro!
@@69Beats I have studied different DJ's tone play techniques, I even have my own. But I have to say, I always end up here. This is the best tone play technique I have seen on RUclips and the internet. Love to see the second part you talk about (application of the tone play)
Found my way here after watching your dope Goldie Award performance! Superb tutorial and will try this on a few melodies that are on the top of my mind. Cheers! 🤙🏼
Hands down the best tutorial in the internet..learnt so much of stuff... answers to so much of questions i had.. thank you bro.. you definitely the man 👍👊👊
This was crazy but amazing and informative. Barely getting into tone playing, and damn, this is a massive undertaking, but excited to have learned so much from your video. Love and respect you took so much time to explain it. Motivated to try and push myself now. Thx!
In step 3 you can also click that link icon(2. element) of the menu in the right border. It will open a new window showing all the matching songs. Simply select a number which corresponds to the Deck that you want to find a match for.
Most underrated tutorial! Thank you so much! But u mentioned that there are a ton of other techniques to make toneplays? Are u also giving insights on that? Thanks!!
Please make a video on how to open a club dj set and what type of songs to play in the whole set. For example. For a set of 4 hours..how to play the music -fast music/slow music/ or other music during the whole set? For how much time I have to play fast music? when to play slow music and for how much time before you jump in the fast music again and etc.? I hope you understand me. Because I get confused in how and when to change from banging songs to slow songs and when is the right time?
It mostly comes down to crowd reading, but it's an interesting topic for sure, making a tutorial about it would be really really hard, but I have an idea... it's just that idea requires clubs to open again which I have no idea when will happen here in Poland.
Bonjour quel la configuration pour les points cue afin de permettre de jouer la mélodie il y aurai il une configuration sur la djms9 en hot cue doit on installer un programme xlm comment on peut changer les couleurs des point cue merci de cette information
If you're in exact same key then it's the easiest, but of course if you feel comfortable you can play with different keys. It's just that the further you go with the key, the less possible is to find the matching tone plays.
lol whut?!? And when did it stop being about exactly that? Do people stop dancing these days if DJ just mix 2 great tunes together without doing any technical trickery? Musical selection is and always will be the most important DJ skill.
@@69BeatsI mean just 2 turntables and a simple mixer is all that's needed. But is still great to hear what can be done with new flashy digital mixers and stuff, and I definitely appreciate your skills and the videos your putting out there. Cheers.
@@spirittravels. I see... apologies for taking your first comment as some kind of criticism, cause most people do complain about new tech like that, but I see you're not one of them. Anyway - thanks for all the kind words!!!
@@69Beats You're welcome. The good thing about the Technology is it allows for greater creativity. It's great to see DJ mixing competitions working with this Tech, seeing what it can do. Cheers.
SixtyNineBeats The middle child cue points 1 and 2 sounded really different to me. Points 2 and 3 sounded close so I understand eliminating the 3rd cue.
@@Mr_Boykin oh I see. You mean when we had 8 cue points before I started deleting right? Yea they sound different because 1 is way longer than 2 and 3, but the point is that the note is the same. 1 sustains for longer while 2 and 3 are short, but they all play the same note.
I don't even understand why this has only 16k views like wtf you just teach me something that I would pay like 300 € in a Dj school to learn. Thx bro
watched the full vid bro... i dont think ppl appreciate the amount of time and effort you put into preparing for a live show... great share!

Glad I could help! Thank you! Cheers for Belgium!!!
Dope!
nice thank you one question do u also slow down di tempo to play the tone longer in case u have anything straight behind it?
Yes, that's a very clever idea but you gotta remember to have key lock on so the pitch of the track doesn't change.
amazing
i would really really love if you make a tutorial of how you transpose usin the key adjust.
awesome tutorial!!!
Super sir✌️🎶

Спасибо большое, очень доступно всё
Do you still gotta do the Que points if u have pitch N time on serato that’s changes the pitch?
You used a simple way of explaining the process of tone play.
damn, this method is awesome
Nice.
How to set tone play in vitual dj?
Do the 2 tracks have to be the exact same key, or for example can you use 4A with 5A?

Hello It’s possible with serato dj ?
Hi mate. Of course. I don't use any software specific functions here. Just standard cue points which are available in every dj software.
nice!
thanks
U welcome!
upload more tutorials pleassssse!
Fucking Love It Broooo!!!! Many Thanks

Did anyone else think that cue point 1 was way different than 2 and 3?
When? Which melody? Can you tell me the exact time in the vid?

I can't whistle bro lol
Then SING SING SING :D Or use some instrument to help :) I'm sure you'll find a way!
