Here I show A Yaesu Fl2100b repair and modification and repair
Important note!!!!! It is critical to not just lift cathode return / center tap while un keyed. You want a high impedance path to ground to prevent it from completely floating. Although a lower value can be used. I used a 100k , 2 watt, Allen Bradley resistor in this amplifier.
Also a good idea to gently compress the tube socket clips, to ensure a tight connection against the tube pins.

Good morning , I’m no longer taking in fl2100b amps . But to answer your question I have always left the stock internal fans . I wouldn’t change
