Here I show the repair of a heathkit sb-200 Enjoy correction @ 5:04 Grids are not grounded in this amp. You want a solid connection between tube grid pin and socket clips.
I'll call you during the week my 201 was working when I put it to the side it sat for 4 years now it won't power up I've replaced the power supply module because the factory board showed burnt spots underneath the bleeding resistors.
Are the grid resistors particularly prone to failure? I recently had one actually explode with a loud "POP"....I simply replaced it with a new one (thinking it was just a random fluke failure) but watching your videos and seeing that you replace them preventatively makes me think I should go back and do a complete replacement. Is that advisable?
The resistors usually fail when you have a tube failure. It is critical to replace all 4 at the same time, with the proper type. And be sure they are within tolerance If grounding, you need to be sure all other steps have also been done. Good luck and be careful

That's a grip from the start
Nice work.
Thanks!
Also noticed you switched those bottom electrolytic caps out. Did you use a ceramic disc instead in one of them?
No sir , both need electrolytic’s
Sorry meant both are new electrolytic’s
Would you recommend switching the power input jumpers to the single center one and using this on 240v instead?
120 is plenty for this amp
