I'm still in my first week of having books available on Amazon and I must say that finding keywords is the hardest part of the whole process. I did, however, hit it right with only my second book. It showed up on the second page of a search. I think, for a newbie, this is pretty good for a second time out. Now to push it to the first page.

This is an excellent step by step guide, thank you. Should the 7 secondary keywords be different from the keywords in the main title and subtitle? On average, how many secondary keywords do you suggest finding per book?

@@paulmarles Very informative and helpful, when you speak of front loading with the with keywords in the title and subtitle. Do you mean using those words to say which categories your book goes under? Because when you spoke of front loading and the 7 key word boxes as two different strategies.

I saw a book yesterday with a BSR of 416 and it had no description what so ever! I was amazed how it came up number 1 in the results too.
Descriptions don't have any effect on ranking on Amazon. They help with sales but if the book is good enough and looks attractive it will still makes sales.
oh wow! this was right on time. i've published over 20 low content books and none are getting hits (been about a month); now i know why. lol thank you for this information. i can go back and make some changes and use this information moving forward. 👍

You mention at 3:25 about using very similar titles/books - I was planning to upload monogram designs - is there a way around the 'problem' you describe at that point in the video?
Not really unless you try to change each title.
The title keyword that also features on the cover (like colouring book for kids ages 3-4) would work for low content, but what do we do for no content books? I'm just dipping my toes in the water as to get used to making covers and such, so I wanted to start basic with dot gird notebooks etc.

Paul i have a qst please, it's not about this video, but the easter video one. I thought if I comment in your last video I might get higher chance to get an answer.
So my qst is in your keyword list you shared with us, the majority had 2000 and more search results on amazon. And in your keywords video you advised us to use keywords with 1000 or less. So does that list means we can use keywords with 2000 and 3000 search results ?
