It's been two and a half years and I am still devastated that this series is gone. I still watch it religiously. I have reached the point where rewatching Jake and Amir feels less like watching comedy and more like listening to music - I already know every line but I still derive great satisfaction from hearing it delivered reliably in the same way as always. The rhythms, cadences and poetry of this series are music to my ears. I want it back so much.
Spandan Banerjee They just revealed a patreon series of them rewatching old Jake and Amir episodes on camera, featuring guests like Ben Schwartz and Thomas Middleditch. It costs money for each episode but I would happily pay.
Buddy you just described exactly how I feel. If seen and heard these lines so many times that this like background noise that still makes me laugh. However, I do feel that their Headgum skits really capture the spirit of Jake and Amir videos. If you haven't seen them, I recommend them
Reason why they reuploaded it: they licensed the My Chemical Romance song at the end of the video for only one year, so they had to remove it and reupload it. They explained it on a livestream :)
The original song, or the song in the re-upload? Well it *was* Welcome To The Black Parade, and this is some royalty free track or something, not sure, try shazaming it.
Technically it's even more deep than that - the characters Jake and amir slowly become the real Jake and amir over the course of the show, and at the end create 2 new Jake and amir characters to take their spot and become real over their new show
I grew up in a very abusive home. I would hide to watch Jake and Amir because they made me so happy. I'd love to meet them one day. They gave me a safe space to laugh and forget my problems. Thank you so much Jake and Amir. Thank you for all the videos and thank you for giving my childhood some good memories.
The real tragedy is that besides removing the song, they still haven't removed that awkward "Subscribe to Us" segment at the end of a SERIES FINALE. C'mon CH.
It really ruins the mood of the video. They should have known better to not put that in the end of this video since it's a special video to a lot of people. It actually makes me cry then I get to the subscribe now thing and then I get angry.
I personally am okay with it. I don't remember it going past Amir laughing "okay"....maybe "Jesus".... Definitely don't remember jake saying the bit about the room. Maybe I have a bad memory but I saw it as another clip from their career... And sI'm nice it was used as an outro they kept it as an outro, one last time.
+Cody Simmons I also should add, they didn't include the video clips for annotations as they normally do. I'm on mobile and can't see if they had annotations or not, but it seems to me they didn't. Thus they didn't actually include a CH logo to click to subscribe with.
Can't believe I hadn't seen this until now! The sentimental twist is nice, like how the US office changes from absurd to genuinely touching. So glad you two are back in 2021.
Years later now, I've rewatched the entire thing and still cried at the end (even tho you've made so much great content since..) You guys reading that first script again really got me maaaaan :'s. With this rewatch I'm realizing that this show was actually such a huge part of my brother's and my life. So many of our inside jokes and the things we still say off hand are actually from this show.. and so many times when I was feeling my worst I'd go watch some. Y'all shaped a good portion of my adolescence and gave me a wonderful and happy escape. I am so glad you continued to make content together. Thank you.
Sorabh Pant you're a crazy famous standup comedian who needs no introduction. Would love to see you draw inspiration from this series and create similar work
I’ve been a College Humor fan for years and it all really started with Jake and Amir. There was a point where I had stopped watching the channel (no reason why, I just kind of forgot about it and it stopped appearing on my recommended) and I have recently come back. College Humor has been through so many changes and it’s honestly really cool to see where they are now. They have helped inspired me to want to be more creative and follow my passion. I still have a lot of catching up to do.
Rewatched every single episode of J&A in 2 days, all these episodes brought me back to my high school years playin WoW and laughing my ass off to these videos. These guys will always have a special place in my heart, if i would see either of them ever live i think i would be more starstruck than any other celebrity. Thank you for the years of entertainment these two guys have given us
I almost never comment on anything, but I'm going to miss this show! It has been a blast and thank you for all the quality content over all this years!
i just wanna let people know that jake and amir are still doing sketches o their own channel called headgum. they have 2 series' goin on each w/ more than 20 eps. a lot of people dont know that unfortunately
Damn I still remember the feeling of watching all of the finale episodes, almost 6 years ago. I'm only a few years younger than them, and I remember watching when I first started college. It made my Tuesdays and Thursdays just a little bit better. The end of this episode still makes me tear up a bit. I don't "get" the humor as much on their new Headgum Podcast, but I'm so happy that they were able to transition to something new while still retaining a piece of this humor. I hope both of them know how much of an impact they've had on so many people. 5 years later, I'm still beefing.
Do you ever listen to If I Were You? it's generally closer to this humor moreso than the headgum podcast. ofc we all evolve in humor but there is some really funny moments in them.
So amazing seeing the whole edited thing and background and watching these guys for years. They’re the only ones I really always end up coming back to after leaving for a while and I’m still seeing new stuff. Kinda sad at the end but nice touch saying to see More but there’s nothing there. Way to think of everything. Absolutely amazing career that’s still going!
I've always been way more nostalgic than most people (at least in my mind), and some things just hit you extra hard and take you back to a specific period in time. I was a junior in high school when I saw my first CH video (Internet Commenter Business Meeting) and was hooked; I go back and watch the Hardly Working playlist a couple times a year lol. While it's awesome to know a good majority of the crew went on to do great things, it's also supremely depressing knowing the magic will never be back, and that there will never be a new Hardly Working, or Jake and Amir, or Bleep Bloop. But I'll be damned if I'm not supremely grateful for all the laughs along the way.
God damn it this is like the third time I've watched through these end videos and this one still makes me tear up. I watched you guys religiously for so long I hate seeing it end. Thanks for all the laughs! To da!
Rewatching this feels bittersweet, but I think the feeling of watching this for the first time never goes away. This made us feel something and feel connected to something. This was great
I've been steady watching this series since I was a child and now I'm an adult with a full time job. The pain I'm experiencing right now feels very similar to the pain I felt reading and watching the last Harry Potter. Damn you, ch

They had to re-upload this because the original got taken down because they used the song "Welcome to the Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance during the credits
I've been subscribed to CH for over 5 years now and I just found out about their web series last week. I'm kind of glad I found out about it this late because that means I could just binge watch them.

As a my chemical romance fan it sucks to see the video having to be reuploaded due to copyright over the black parade... Loved having that song at the end of the series.
Oh that makes sense. I was wondering why the track had faint AudioJungle watermarks on it lol. Guess they didn't put too much effort into getting a new song.

Yeah, especially cuz of the J&A episode "Song" lol
I like how it ends with them making the first episode, so it’s an endless loop.
It’s okay guys, the show never ended, it just started over.

Onac youtube didn’t remove it, jake and amir only bought the rights to the song for a year so they reuploaded it

One of my favorite Jake and Amir running jokes is that Amir’s version of celebrating is with that weird hand motion and an exclamation of “Henry!”

+Deirdre “Deedee” Jones LIES
+Sean Muller They are trying to milk their last good show.
Someone copyrighted the music in the original...
They used Welcome to the Black Parade in the original, which is owned by Warner Records. The fuck did they expect to happen?
And now, I venture on back to the start
"When I was a young boy,
My father took me into the city,
To see a marching band,
He said, "Son, when you grow up,
Would you be the savior of the broken,
The beaten and the damned,
He said, "Will you defeat them,
Your demons and all the non-believers,
The plans that they have made,
Sometimes I get the feeling,
She's watching over me,
And other times I feel like I should go,
When through it all, the rise and fall,
The bodies in the streets,
And when you're gone we want you all to know,
We'll carry on, we'll carry on,
And though you're dead and gone, believe me,
Your memory will carry on, we'll carry on,
And in my heart, I can't contain it,
The anthem won't explain it,
A world that sends you reeling,
From decimated dreams,
Your misery and hate will kill us all,
So paint it black and take it back,
Let's shout out loud and clear,
Defiant to the end we hear the call,
To carry on, we'll carry on,
And though you're dead and gone, believe me,
Your memory will carry on, we'll carry on,
And though you're broken and defeated,
Your weary widow marches,
On and on we carry through the fears,
Disappointed faces of your peers,
Take a look at me,
'Cause I could not care at all,
Do or die, you'll never make me,
Because the world will never take my heart,
Though you try, you'll never break me,
We want it all, we wanna play this part,

@@thescreentroll8632 but the political one was funny bc it was still so Jake and Amir! Plus their return has been good. They're getting back into the swing of things. I'll always appreciate more J&A content
best RUclips series ever
i hate the fact that this series ended. college humor has no good content anymore and it was the start of this series ending.

And now Sam own college humor
I MISS JAKE AND AMIR SO FUCKING MUCH!!!!
Rest In Peace my favorite anime show
