    0:55 This is worst water reservoir I have ever seen. How do you clean it? Even filling will be very difficult? That also looks very cheap. Does it smell like plastic?

      It doesn't smell like plastic. It's high-quality, BPA-free plastic. It can be tricky to fill. Definitely best with a water bottle.

    Thanks Clive Coffee for this video. One question: do you use the optional pre-infusion? On your site, you state that preinfusion is important and should be preferred. However, as I understand the preinfusion programed in the Victoria will open the pump, stop it after 3 seconds, and then start it again to brew at the regular pressure (assumably 9 bars). Some commenters state that this procedure will not yield good esspresso and therefore should be avoided. What's your experience on that? Thx!

      I did more research and it looks like after the 2020 update it doesn't go past 2-3 bar during the preinfusion. Look for videos less than a year old where you can see the gauge.

    How to exit the steam mode and return to the cafe mode ?
    Everytime i do this, i have to restart the machine, and it says "OK 95C".
    How is that possible ?
    There's no coutdown on my screen, only the extraction time (in seconds), how can i activate the countdown mode ?
    Thanks for answering, and excuse my english lol

      This sounds like a tech issue and would recommend reaching out to the vendor where you got the machine from to solve this issue. If you got it from Clive, feel free to reach out to us at hello@clivecoffee.com

    Seriously considering buying this machine. I currently have 7 year old Breville Infuser BES840XL which is also considered an entry level machine. My question is the Victoria, I'll call it Vicki after my wife, enough of an upgrade from Infuser to make it worth the $$$? My main concern is ability to pull ratio shots. I'm not concerned with single boiler as I don't do lots of milk drinks. Please respond as I'm considering purchase early 2021.

      Hey George!
      The Victoria has pulled phenomenal shots for myself and my team. From your Breville, I do think you'll feel like the Victoria is a lovely upgrade. Having the PID temperature control does improve consistency from shot to shot. The key is to have a capable grinder to pair with any machine. That's truly where your flavor is going to come from. I hope this helps! If you have other questions, feel free to email our team of experts at hello@clivecoffee.com

      @@clivecoffee Hi Amanda, thanks for great response. I plan on getting a Niche Zero (NZ) when the US Black becomes available again. I need a grinder that can do the full spectrum of grinds and is also capable of single dosing. What are your thoughts on NZ?

    • @ggivensjr

      @@ultraman1017 I've decided against Niche because it has to be sent all the way to England for warranty repair and it's such a new device it doesn't have enough of a track record. I am now leaning toward Eureka Mignon Perfetto. I need something more toward the all purpose grinder and I'll give up a little espresso grind precision. I don't want to hand grind and don't have counter space for two electric grinders. I do wish someone would make a smaller dosing only espresso grinder, then I'd have 2 grinders, a bugger one for filter and immersion grind and small one for espresso.

      @@ggivensjr if you are serious about your espresso then you will be very hesitate to touch the grind setting once you are dialed in. I owned a Mignon and a course grind machine.

    Finally, a video that makes sense and clears things up. Now all I have to do is wait till my Sylvia V3 dies.

    So reservoir has to be pulled up through top which doesn't make it ideal for installing under cabinets since its probably not on wheels.

    I have a question for you: How much time it take between end of steam distribution (after push the button) to get to the return to the coffee/water fonction ready? It seam long. It take on mine 13 minutes. It is normal?

    • @clivecoffee
      @clivecoffee  2 года назад

      After pulling a shot, run water through the group head to drop the temperature. That will help speed it up and get it back to temperature in a couple of minutes.

  • @MGM_Think
    @MGM_Think 3 года назад

    I was considering this before I noticed the temperature is displayed in Fahrenheit (Fْ ).

    Is reservoir removable or do you have to move machine to fill it if its against a wall and with only 6" clearance? How big is reservoir?
    Never got answer to this question.

    • @Thelo73
      @Thelo73 3 года назад +2

      I just got mine today and was surprised at how large the machine and reservoir is. The reservoir is 9 1/2” top to bottom plus there’s about a 1/4” lip around the top of the reservoir receptacle that also has to be cleared. You’ll need at least 12” of clearance to get the thing out. Mine is on the countertop and I have to slide the machine out from under the upper cabinet to fill the reservoir. You don’t want to be pouring water into it without removing it either, unless you want to rig up some kind of funnel/tubing situation to do it without dumping water all over the inside of the machine.

      You can only control on/off for preinfusion. It’s set at 3 sec and this time cannot be changed on the Victoria
