    That's definitely one of the best tripod heads available, and I'm looking to get some new legs. Excellent and very informative video!

    Investing in a good quality tripod and fluid head was the best thing I ever did. Hands down easily the most valuable piece of video gear I own. Love the 502 head and dem legs are dead sexy. Nice review man.

    My favorite tripod is “HILLPOW Q6 plus tripod”,I felt safe with my camera on it. The legs are easy to extend and tighten,the head is very smooth in all directions. I can use it for many years.

    Tow disadvantage features of using this tripod;
    1- Level and balance.
    2- Low shoot angel difficulties

    These two are sold together on procam.com for $299! If and when I get a camera, I will be picking up this tripod and fluid head as well. Great review, keep up the great work!

      What's up Jerry!
      I got my 502 and 190 the other day, I actually just noticed we're both using the SD-1 slider too haha. Anyway, when you do your sliding shots, do your tripod legs bow at all? The main reason I picked up the 190 was for a sturdier setup but I can see quite a bit of rocking back and forth when I try and shoot sliding shots. Even when panning the legs tend to flex and now i'm debating if I should return the 190 and pick up something else.
      Thanks man, always looking forward to your videos!

    I’ve got a “HILLPOW Q1 tripod”from my boyfriend. It’s great for beginners. It’s lightweight but can load 5kg,3-section legs with locks that can be adjusted to several different angles.Price lower than 40GBP.

    does the 502 head have constant fluid back drag tension...that's what REALLY make a head super buttery smooth.

    So I'm looking for a lightweight tripod to put my binoculars on while hunting. I'll be sitting down while in use. I'm on a budget, what would be a good tripod/ head combo, that won't come in more than $100. I'm not opposed to shopping used.

  • @F22Aperture
    @F22Aperture 8 лет назад

    I think the tripod is more for still photography than video. You'd want a tripod system that has a bowl adapter. That way you can level your shots easily. Me personally... I like my tripod system to be a bit on the heavier side. Heavier will ensure the camera stays down and makes smooth transitions. Notice at 4:20 of your video... your tripod lifts up as your making a move.

    I have a major issue with this head though. When I put the plate on my dslr and slide it in, the camera right grip blocked the locking switch from turning, so I had to place the plate a bit further back thus making the center gravity lean backwards.

      Agreed but adds another whack to the price. Not necessarily the best use of 75 or 100 dollars given it'll only save a few moments of time. But if price is no object... definitely ;O)

    Hey man, may I ask you if there's any specific way to remove the head from the tripod? I've tried putting all the locks in and the go push counter clockwise but can't manage to remove it...
    I'm kind of desperate and was hoping maybe you could advice me as I have exactly the same setup
    Thanks in advance!

  • @randytaylor1690

    I would argue that a Manfrotto 190 Pro and a Benro S7 combination is lighter, holds more weight and has better pan control, plus a 4 step counter balance for about the same money.... Just sayin'.

    • @EyeofMatthew

      I tried it with a battery grip and it's still the same. My way around this is to mount the camera and handle the 'wrong way' round. Does the trick and can still achieve the same results but still will be looking out for something.
