- My impressions from first test flight with the new S6R receiver from FrSky with built in stabilization. It think it works very well. Stabilization mode makes the plane feel like a simulator, and is perfect for slow speed on the edge of stall. Hover mode works, but requires some manual input to make it perfect. (I made no inputs in the video). Knife edge mode works too, but is not that useful as a lot of manual input is required anyway. Autolevel mode is good for beginners, and as a failsafe mode in case of lost rc signal. Overall it is pretty good, and well worth the extra money!
Great video! How did you change channel 10 so no stab the switch is away from you and auto level is towards you?
My SR6 doesn't work Hover mode
Cool Ole. Just received one as a Christmas pressie from my son. What's the plane btw? Looks very sharp. I am planning to try mine on a foamie first!

Hello Ole. Thanks for the video. I have recently bought a S6R receiver also. I have the same Taranis Tx like yours. Do you have a video showing how to set the channels n switches ? Or your switch settings please ?

@@OleGulbrandsen Thanks mate! I have used this receiverfor awhile but havent used hover and knife edge mode and wasnt able to set it up correct. This worked like a treat :)
Very nice. I am not having any luck with ch 10 and ch 11. How did you program your radio?
Just followed the instructions from FrSky. I updated the firmware before I used it, not sure if that matters. (You can also set up s6r via Taranis with LUA scripts, but that requires you update the radio to version 2.2 (still beta), but this part is not necessary to use it as you can use a PC to adjust gains etc)

im trying to set mine up for an opterra using taranis ..but im having a problem being it that when move roll stick left ail only left ail works and when i move stick to do elevator only right aileron works ..and i cant upgrade my s6r cause pc cant find the usb ..pc driver is good cause i was able to get to configuration ..any help appreciated ..

Is it compatiable with taranis qx7?
Yes. But I'm not sure if you can configure it via the Lua Script directly from the TX like you can on the Taranis X9D, however this is not needed as you can configure it from a PC too.
1:14 I can't understand what your saying "My pitch mode" when you toggle the right spring loaded switch
yes, not very well explained! The left selects the mode that CAN be activated and this is"Hover" or "Knife edge". The right spring loaded switch activates the selected mode when I hold it in.

Ahh now I understand so you select the mode then hit the spring load switch to do a knife edge or hover got it. I don't own a frSky radio I'm using spekrum but I'm thinking about moving over to frsky recently had an issue with Spektrum sat receiver somehow became un-binded and caused it to go into fail safe. I'm not too happy with having to use a satellite receiver anyway. I have purchased a few of their AS3X gryo receivers but they are so difficult to program it's ridiculous. I had gotten into frsky some time ago when I used a module for my JR but sold it because the guys at my club only knew spektrum. Seems like the right time to get rid of the spektrum stuff before the value drops more as frSKY and other radios start to take more of the market away from them.
