I feel like a good amount of those that complain about Scourge getting repainted (with the hands changed) into Sweep are those that bought about four Scourges, thus increases the online pricing for Scourge. Also, SS86 Wreck Gar is the first G1 Wreck Gar that part forms the wheels.
I didn't believe you when I first read this comment, but I checked TFWiki and it seems that this is indeed the first Wreck-Gar toy where the wheels have to be detached for transformation. The G1 toy did have a detachable front wheel, but it could be transformed without removing it, and the Reveal the Shield mold integrated both wheels into the transformation.

Scourge is a tracker so he has his “sweeps” to sweep an area in search for tracks or prints or energy trails or whatever. Even though Scourge never tracks anything. Honestly I don’t know why I feel the need to defend the name sweep. I still think it’s pretty dumb….
Scourge is one of the most badass looking Transformers of all time. With his demon wings and devil-like mustache and goatee, he looks so sinister. Just disappointed how the writers of the cartoon turned Scourge and The Sweeps into a bunch of bumbling idiots; comic relief. They are HUNTERS. They were supposed to be the transformers equivalent of killer bounty hunters like Boba Fett or the Predators
I get that some of the SS86 are the characters we get all the time. But as someone that started collecting 2 years ago, I do appreciate releasing some of the same character again. It's helps me from having to track down a Titans Return Hotrod, Kup, or Scourge.
Apparently we will be getting updated Prime figures in the next TF Toyline "Legacy", with the current rumored figures being Arcee, Bulkhead, and Knockout.
I’ve been really hesitant on G1 stuff for a while, just out of collector fatigue, but I picked up wreckgar which made me buy gnaw which made me buy cyclonus… and I love them all.
The problem I have with the Sweep figure is that I saw the listing for him, and for a second I thought it said Swoop. But it's still great for all those who missed out on Scourge and that Wreck-Gar looks phenomenal.
I don't see the problem with G1 appearing in the SS line. Yes we get G1 character all the time but not "on screen accuracy" until now with the SS86! Ok sure there has been other toys that are totall accurate to the cartoon/ movie but not in SS like Kingdom Cylconus and Galvatron but I assume they will get PR via SS or some kind of minor changes/ redeco via SS?
I don't think G1 fans should get all this hate. I mean look at the figures we grew up with compared to now. We deserve to get these fantastic memories of our childhood. 😍
86 Hot Rod is like my fav figure, EVEr. The line is making awesome things with the characters, I hate the "Mini MP" saying but in this case I think it´s true. Mostly. Blurr and Jazz are kinda rough in some parts but they´re alright overall.
I know this is really late and probably has been figured out by most, but the loose waist swivel on Wreck-Gar is a mushroom peg mine was loose out of the box but then I realised it hand been properly pushed in all the way so just give it a light pull towards the front side of the waist and its nicer than when out of box
Me too I like G1 people complain we get too much but it’s the main universe of course we get a lot and I love seeing all of the best characters remade and redone in o be good and modern
Sometimes the double mushroom pegs makes the joints really tight My blitzwing has this problem, his arm is so tight that i couldn't even move it when i first open the box.
Even some of the single mushrooms are too tight. I couldn't get the thigh swivel to budge on my wfc elita but I think there was paint on the swivel which doesn't help at all
Honestly can't wait for them to be done with this G1 trip they've been on for the past couple of years. SS86 has had a few bangers not gonna lie, but not enough to warrant having yet another line dedicated to "muh geewun" imo. With that out the way, Wreckgar looks like another banger, and I'm at least happy to say SS86 wont be carried entirely on the complete Dinobot team for me. Still can't wait for Legacy though.
It's nice to know that there are other people getting fed up with all the g1 stuff (I'd rather tons of fans weren't miserable but at least we're miserable together) I like some of the g1 stuff (I think the power of the primes stuff was g1 based and they're some of my favourites) but I grew up with the bay films and tfp so all my nostalgia is towards those toylines. The designs in the films were so cool like dark of the moon megatron (with his injury from the last film) and shockwave both looked incredible and ironhide also looked great. And then I look at the g1 versions and they're all so boxy and kinda boring whereas I prefer the detail and the more alien look to ones like the dreads. I'm skeptical of the upcoming legacy line because it looks like modern designs with a g1 twist (at least that's how arcee looks and I don't dig it)
Nice bendimus prime! I recently found a good cybertron megs that figure is so good. On topic I love the figures we've been getting lately. Also its not a single name but they are collectively known as the sweeps.....they deserve names!
Good vid as always! Couple of Sweep observations; I have Scourge. He has the exact same ankle issue and I just thought it was my copy! And colour wise, I think that Sweep looks way better and I'm tempted to swap him for a Sweep!
Im probably in the minority here but while everyone else is all Gee-wunned out I feel like its only just beginning because they are only now, after all these years, doing these designs justice, so as these newer, far superior and accurate molds are coming out they are slowly replacing all the poorly thought out/ wrong size/ gimmicky versions of the characters that came before...
Great video! Ss86 has been hit and miss for me since I started it with hotrod (which would've been fantastic if the tolerances were better) and scourge (looks great but as a toy I'm just not too into it), but I seriously reccomend grimlock, yeah we see him in at least every other line, but that figure is leaps and bounds better than any other official version of the g1 design and that's including the masterpiece.
whats going to happen after legacy? because they can't just keep recreating newer versions of old things something new and good has to come out like something on the level of prime or the 2007 live action movie
Try switching the two wheels on wrecker around putting the one that you had on his leg onto his arm and the one that’s on the arm onto the leg they’re actually two different sizes
my upper legs on wreck gar were SUPER loose, as was his waist rotation and ab crunch. Added some of that kiki joint tightener and it fixed that all up.
you should take a look at fans hobby's older figures, such as their laser optimus prime. i heard so many great things ab him that i had to pick him up and cant wait for him to arrive

I still wish that they would actually release more movie figures in the studio series, because we’ve only gotten 3 movie figures this year that weren’t repaints or retools. They could easily sell these as kingdom figures but choose not to
I just got my Wreck-Gar and the first thing I did was rip out those spikes. They are way too long and look out of place. Overall Wreck-Gar is really good.
I used to like the bay movies, but wfc has shown a lot of G1 references in a modern style, and I love that and I collect only wfc figures and might collect a few SS86
What to do with 3 extra Scourges , I got this preordered but I’m actually sick and tired of Hasbro and their exclusive game. Lol car race parts are more expensive , don’t need to get stressed out with toy exclusives. Toys are supposed to be fun
Mine has ankle problems they easen up over time. And the backpack condenses a little more there are tabs on the armature and they tab in the center part of the backpack. Warning though that it gets a little backheavy Edit: I don't know if yours is but if it is then don't worry!

Why can’t they do that for the other guys? They kinda did with Scourge/Sweep, and I really like the look of him, but the rest just really need some extra detail. It doesn’t have to be a lot, just a little, and they’d be wonderful. I understand why it’s not this way, but it still bugs me.
@@cartkart1 the Dinobots were originally going to be WFC releases, but were moved to the SS86 line. And Scourge/Sweep is a weirdly contradictory example to use in your argument when it comes to greebling/mechanical details; that mold has very minimal surface detailing which is largely limited to simple panel lining; one of the most animation-accurate mainline molds we’ve gotten in years. Very comparable to Wreck-Gar in terms of sculpting.

We need a really good Predaking. Both Voyagers and the Leader had problems, especially considering one of the Voyagers was an upscaled Legends.
The entire SS86 line is literally the best broad market Transformers line we have ever gotten.
The problem I have with the Sweep figure is that I saw the listing for him, and for a second I thought it said Swoop. But it's still great for all those who missed out on Scourge and that Wreck-Gar looks phenomenal.
Having this as a replacement for scourge makes more sense when you remember that they’re supposed to be indistinguishable aside from the voices

I got 2 sweeps at Burlington a month ago at Burlington for $13 each. Totally worth it.

Still haven't found Sharkticon Gnaw and Slag yet in anyway of my Walmarts and Targets, but did found Wreck-Gar and Sweeps

Loosen the screw closest to the feet on the Sweep and it should fix the snapping into place problem, Scourge had the same problem and its an easy fix
