2000 Johnson 9.9 / 15hp outboard 2 stroke SOLD

Correction: this engine weighs 74lbs
Even though this is the newest two stroke I own at the moment, it is an old tried and true design. It is simply a twin cylinder cross-scavenged design with conventional reed valves. Nothing fancy, but they run well.

having both 1998 johnson 9.9 and 15 hp engines i think cylinder porting varies between the two. the 9.9 handles a heavier load much better, runs smooth thru the mid range. the 15 on the otherhand likes to run top end but tends to stubble thru the no wake zones.

Interesting. I’d say that’s a good argument for intake velocity too given the difference in carburetor sizes.
