- This is my first time making a video like this, so I hope it is helpful. Most of my recommendations are Powertec and luckily Powertec is running their biggest sale ever. I also show a couple other companies and products I recommend.
If you have any questions or concerns, please ask in the comment section; I will be around all day.
Please consider using one of my affiliate links that can be found on the “About” page. Any time a purchase is made through my affiliate links, I could receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you make a purchase using the link, you help support this channel, but more importantly, it shows the company I am helpful to their brand. Thank you!

Good video and ive said it before..BUT..Powertec needs to hire you to help design and show off their equipment. You do a good job.
That is greatly appreciated, BBD! Thank you!
Thank for this video!..I bought the Powertec Lat machine with the weight stack
I hope you like it as much as I do. Please let me know what you think.
My dad came over for Thanksgiving yesterday and he had a full back workout on it. My wife basically had to come in the garage and pull him off the machine so we could eat dinner. Safe to say, he loves it too and he said he’s sore today.
I just ordered the FID bench and leg press attachment using your link. Appreciate your video reviews.
Thank you so much! Please let me know what you think.
Nicely done!
Thank you!
Great roundup HGHR! I enjoyed this one!
Thank you, BGB!
Iron Master also has a pretty good sale going on for anyone interested.
Great video :). That multipress is calling to me.
Thank you! The Multipress is one of my all-time favorite machines! I’ve only had 3 of them over the last 15 years 🤓
Please let me know what you think if you get it.
Coincidentally, I received the Angles90 today for a BF price. I'm curious, but I already know that I will use these to my satisfaction. Ps. trained today with a prototype of the lifting pad. I didn't know what I was experiencing: really great added value for incline bench db press or incline machine, among others. And also for leg press machine, leg extension and leg curl. Just to name something. The (deeper) tension on the muscles is immediately noticeable. And still feel it now. This is really an added value! Good video Hacky, good that you covered a wide price range of products. And of course I agree with the Powertec products that I also have: the bench, the attachments and the storage system (as you know, I took your tip and also placed wheels underneath, works great) Bravo!
Great to hear you got the Angles90 Grips and the pad prototype is working well for you. I took a break from using the Angles90 for a while, but glad I didn’t sell them when I sold almost all my equipment recently. I actually liked them so much, I got two sets. At first I used them with the curve down / Ergo Grip, but lately curve up / Power Grip seems to be more kind to my golfer’s elbow.
Really good to hear you’re happy with your Powertec equipment and the hack! Thanks so much, LW!
Great video! The audio in this one sounds a lot better, what changed?
Thank you! I am trying out a couple different mics and hoping to find one that works right / sounds good in this garage.
Just ordered the Powertec Lat Machine/Weight Stack with your affiliate link.
Very cool of you! Thank you! Please let me know what you think.
I am trying to figure out the max diameter of plate the preacher curl attachment accepts.
I currently have the 450mm 17.7 inch rogue echo plates in Olympic and not much else.
(I am transitioning to Olympic slowly with like 500 pounds in standard)
Love your videos. Appreciate all the real world applications and hacks. Keep up the good work.
I can put my 45s on the preacher curl and there’s a 1/2” between the floor and plate (in my preferred preacher curl setting). My 45s have a diameter of 17.25”
Powertec has a 1” weight horn adapter that will also work on the preacher if you’d rather use your standard plates.
I hope this helps. Thanks so much!
Yeah. I have the adaptors, but trying to stop buying more of those and instead just buy Olympic.
I think it is going to be darn close. I think I’ll give it a shot and if needed spend the $50 saved on some cheep iron.
Appreciate the fast reply. Great job as always.
@@Sleathrajun thanks so much! There are 3 settings on the Preacher, so in its highest setting, I think you’ll be okay. Let me know how it goes.
HGHR,
Thanks as always for your reviews/content. I already had the IM2000 when i picked up a used Levergym. Its been great, but wondering if I should replace it with the Multipress. I'd miss the Leverage Squats with wedges but don't use the machine for other lower body movements although I did pick up a cheap single leg roller but I think I can use the IM with it. Overall it seems pressing movements would be much improved on the MP with no or minimal need to hack (laying backwards on bench or raising bench). What are tour thoughts?
Thank you. It’s a tough call because I like the cable system better on the Levergym (no set up) and I have a few exercises I really like doing with the Levergym cable system and Powertec bench.
Also there are a few exercises with the Levergym cable and Squat Bar I like to do (including standing crunches and single leg standing leg curls.). I’ve featured a few of these exercises in recent RUclips Shorts and Levergym Hacks 5.
Also, I like the option to use bands on the Levergym.
If you really like the Flat Press, I would do it, but if not, I’d keep what you have.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews thanks! Great input, I think I'll stay as is.
Kinda forgot about the cable exercises. I can and do use the IM for that, but often set up a superset/giant set and can use both stations. Plus, I forgot about the bandpegs!
Thanks again!
@@dannyrodriguez5737 glad to help!
This is Powertec's Greatest advertisement.
Hey Powertec send this man a Very, Very, Nice Christmas present!!!!!!!!
Don't you think he deserves one or two or twenty!!!!!
lol! Appreciate it, Bobby!
Id like to order the levergym. Presumably, the packages will come on a pallet. Will the delivery guy have a pallet jack and will he wheel the packages into my garage if I ask nicely/tip him? Lol
I show what delivery looks like in my video, “Building My Powertec Spare Bedroom Gym.” The Levergym comes in 3 boxes on a pallet.
Delivery depends on the driver and your location. Most of the time they pull up to my garage door and drop the pallet off at the door. Sometimes the drivers are told not to drive on driveways, enter the home, etc., so it will depend. Tips never hurt.
Lol for Black Friday I grabbed a space heater at Home Depot…only thing missing in my garage gym 😂
I am considering a second space heater and the addition of a dedicated circuit for it rather than a split system that will only get used for one hour during the coldest months of the year.
Great to hear your gym is now complete!
ya you might need it your garage looks huge ...mine is a two car garage only but I only park inside to charge my EV otherwise everyone parks in the drive way so my gym takes up half the garage@@HomeGymHacksandReviews
I took advantage of black friday to order the storage rack and footplate attachment
Nice! Please let me know what you think.
Danke für das Video
Thank you!
Thanks for the reference, and yes if anyone is wondering the machine is still working perfectly. Great video as usual. 2:21
Thank you, Radio and good to hear yours is still going strong.
Can you do a short video sometime on adding wheels to the attachment holder?
I have a RUclips Short I uploaded a week or two ago.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviewsAh, didn’t see it. Let me have a look.
@@tribaltek the Short is called, “Powertec Workbench Accessory Storage Rack Hack.”
Man the notifications ain’t coming through
I’ve heard that from quite a few people.
How do you treat your golfers elbow?
The best way is to take a break from lifting…but I can’t do that.
I do weighted supination exercises, wrist curls, reverse wrist curls, I use something called a TheraBand FlexBar, and if it’s really bothering me, ice.
The only thing missing in my home gym is me😄
Well that’s an easy fix!
where's your affiliate link? I have been buying powered products since I've seen your vids
It’s in my RUclips About / Bio section and in the description in my older videos. Thanks so much!
Are you planning to get the sissy squat pro. It looks ripe for various hacks that could really payoff for posterior chain exercises.
I have it. I’ve posted pictures of it in a couple of my videos. It is an excellently made piece of equipment. I’m still on the fence about reviewing it because sissy squats are not an exercise I typically do in my own training. However, I’ve tried a few hacks with it and if I come up with something that’s really cool, I’ll definitely post it.
Awesome. I’ve been doing a bunch of mobility focus the last few months, and it seems like a piece that could be great for some of that.
Just got the preacher curl attachment on your recommendation. Love it so far.
@@Sleathrajun very good to hear! Thanks so much!
Where do you get the powertec wall flags? Is there a way to get the company to send them to you free of charge?
At the moment, Powertec doesn’t sell banners, but I hope they will add them at some point. The ones I have in the garage, I actually had made. I have a video detailing how and where in my, “Powertec Workbench Pec Fly Review / More Gym Equipment Sold / New Home Gym Tour & More” video if you want more information.
Bro has divorced Ironmaster to go for Powertec 😢
I started with Powertec over 15 years ago. When I started this channel 3.5 years ago, I had a lot of Powertec stuff and sold almost all of it to review other brands. Within the last year, I found myself wanting to return to my roots.
