    I really miss Nautilus. Arthur Jones was an eccentric genius. I still see some vintage machines on the auction sites, usually pulled from basements of high schools and community colleges.

      I recently saw where someone was giving away an entire line of Nautilus Equipment just because they couldn’t move it and needed it gone.

    You got this lookiing forward to following The journey. Quick note I am seriously considering a PowerTec lever gym because of your reviews. I found one on marketplace the guy's pretty firm at $850 with no attachments. Just wondering do you recall what you sold yours for?

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks so much. Me too. My first one I listed for $800, but the guy also bought my old Leg Press so I sold him both for $700 a piece. As long as it’s the new model, with the additional lever arm settings, that’s not a bad deal.

      Someone on market place is selling one for 450$ I’m so sad I don’t have the spare cash. It’s powertec too 😢

    I was hoping the not hitting Chipotle and Cava was going to end the diabetes and hypertension. I like to have a deadline like that with some targets besides TRAIN TO FAILURE to avoid the feeling of drifting in the middle of the ocean.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  5 месяцев назад +1

      lol! I haven’t had Chipotle or Cava for a few months and it’s helped with those readings but my BF is also down now that I’m eating cleaner at home. You’re exactly right. While training just to train is fun, sometimes a deadline / goal is needed to find a little more purpose.

      @@HomeGymHacksandReviews I have both in my family tree so I'm strict on the salt and carbs. Chipotle is one of my favorite refeed/cheat meals, but I only have it 6-8 times/year. When I have more carbs, it is usually best for me to not have much salt with them.

      @@HomeGymHacksandReviews For me, when the carbs go above a certain level, it requires discipline to keep calories under control. If I keep protein and fiber high and carbs low, everything else fails into place without discipline. Then some extra carbs every 5th day for pump/fullness.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  5 месяцев назад

      @@briand5047 unfortunately, I have found I need a moderate level of carbs daily. Otherwise, joint pain, lifts are down, no fullness, etc. when I went no and super low carbs, my numbers oddly enough didn’t improve to a significant level. I still need to get a Continuous Glucose Monitor to really figure out what’s going on.

      Because I train fasted, early in the morning, I have an essential amino acid drink with citrulline, caffeine, and creatine, but I’ve never made the jump beyond that.
      3,000 calories. 4 meals a day. Mostly eggs, vegetables, oatmeal, cottage cheese, whey protein, and chicken. I reduce carbs with every meal until my dinner is basically no carbs other than what’s in broccoli.

      Unfortunately, I believe most of my issues are related to genetics. I was pre-diabetes since I was a kid and it finally caught up to me in my mid 30s. BP has been on the high end my whole life.
