helping a mate who has this model. his keyboard had a water spill and needs to be replaced which looks a total pain, having to remove the board and possibly the screen first as its integrated into the palmrest.
a keyboard replacement on most current models of laptops is simply maddening

Hello, how are you? I have a problem with Lenovo, and come on, when I turn it on, it works, but when I log the password, it opens, but the screen turns black, but I can see the mouse moving, and the laptop also works, but the screen is black. What do I do?
hi, bit of a tech newbie here. Great video, really helpful. Would this effectively wipe the laptop? Would I need to reinstall windows, transfer files, etc... onto the laptop after doing this? If so how would I go about it? Thanks for any help guys.
yes replaceing the hard drive, would mean you would need to do a fresh install of windows or clone you data from the old drive to the new

i think there is no option for Nvme Mate, Try caddy and HdD for extra storage
Is there a way to install an sdd and hdd in this model? I want my apps to be installed in ssd and hdd for file storage only.

Yes You have to purchase a caddy ..then you able to use both in a single laptop..
You can say a lot of things about Lenovo but at least they're easy to upgrade.

i use an external hard drive enclosure and use acronis true image to clone it
if you clone a spin drive to SSD is it the same as migrating to SSD? i wonder if clone programs resize data to SSD ?

If you machine has two slots
Probably a SATA plug and a NVMe slot

I have seen a few BX500 Drives die that i have sold, so i have since swapped to the more premium MX500 SSD's
There is not much that can go loose inside the laptop regarding the hard drive

it would be best to open your machine and check prior to buying parts

What is the maximum ram ? 8gb or 16gb ddr4?
Depends on CPU
If you have a celeron or Pentium I wouldn't go more than 8gb
And i3 i5 i7 I would go 16gb
