As an anxious patient, thanks for talking about this. I feel forgotten and lost. Facing a filling in a couple weeks and I'm really scared. I hate the needle, the numb feeling that lasts forever and the drill. Just absolute horrors of dentistry.
I have had bad experiences whereby a dentist could not numb me and drilled into my nerves even with the max number of Injections. I haven't been back in years and I'm in pain now amd my anxiety is through the roof😢. I hope my dentist (when I pluck up the courage to see one) is as nice as you!
Thanks for watching! There are a couple of clinical type scenarios on the channel but nothing new is planned in the next couple of months due to other commitments. You can book directly for tutoring/coaching here: www.examinedental.com/book - can do all this for you here :)
Please can you tag them here for easy access... Cause it's quite unclear differentiating d Clinical Governance from d Clinical Scenarios cos of their Titles. Will Appreciate
When did Dentists start prescribing anti anxiety medications prior to a procedure? This seems like a fairly recent development but maybe my personal experiences just missed it.
