    I've never realized that so much of this song is done by the drummer. You ROCK. One of the coolest pit videos ever.

      Drums, bass and vocals make this, absolutely. (bass and drums being the absolute foundation of not all good songs but everything in the world as far as I'm concerned!)

    Thanks guys, much appreciated! The sizzle I use is a Kerope 20" with a sizzle chain from Pro Mark on it. Drilling holes in the cymbal would sound better with three rivets but I can't do that to such a nice cymbal:).

    Drums/percussions are the carrying force in all the music, nice to see them highlighted here! Spot on!

    Thats for posting these Chris. I just finished the first non-pro season of the show here in Sydney Australia however it has done short seasons in Melbourne in Adelaide. Such a great book to play and your take on the set up and the book was great to look at prior to and during the season. Cheers.

      ***** Thanks Rob. No it's not in the chart and it's something new I did for that run in Los Angeles. I'm very fortunate in that they give me quite a bit of freedom and I've learned where to use it and not annoy anyone:). I've been on and off the show now for 8 & 1/2 years so I know when to be silly and when to play the ink.

      I have watched the wicked videos on your channel and I love the 'rock' influence you bring to the music and allow the music to act as guide and allow your artistic flair and creativity to add something special to the arrangements. I am always a fan of hearing that special lick/fill that is artistic interpretation makes live theatre that for me. Great videos very helpful and inspiring to fellow drummers (like myself)

    • @jagodrum
      @jagodrum  9 лет назад +4

      Thanks again Rob. Yes, I'm a Rock'n'Roller at heart so I can't help but bring that to the Wicked table. Hoping to get different videos up from the show on my website soon. Very nice to see people are digging the footage).

      Chris Jago wow so you were with the 1NT when "No One Mourns The Wicked" was still in it's abridged form? Did it change the number of pages in your book when the tour started doing the full version of the opening?

      If you ask around at your Amateur Dramatic groups where you can start with their shows which once word gets around of you and your ability then you may be in with a shot for bigger shows. Asking to watch a certain member of a pit orchestra on one of their shows they’re playing is also beneficial. For example I started off with my old secondary school musicals and then getting called in and around to different shows by the music service, now I’m getting offers around the Region and sometimes up and down the country.
      Yeah hope that helps in a way👌🏻 and good luck!
