    That transition into the Ozdust ballroom @ 6:50 is probably one of my favourite parts of the show. I remember seeing it as a teenager in 2009 and being blown away by all the lighting/staging paired with this music. I now work professionally in touring national musicals and frequently credit Wicked as the thing that sealed that fate!
    Great job on the drums here. So much energy which I can imagine is tricky with such a long project!

    Perfect example of how a top notch percussionist is able to make the book come to life! I am sure he is using the drum parts as a rough guide as to what to play! Excellent work! Goes to show that you don't have to play timid in the pit and really project on your instrument!

    The added wah-wah and electric is so super cool. I never heard that before. I remember hearing no one mourn the wicked with congas. Ir was soooooo awesome

    you do the drum book justice. I love how you build off what Gary started with. I've seen other videos of west end and touring wicked drummers and they have no chance against you. keep up the awesome work.

    Is the sound we`re listening to coming from the GoPro`s audio or the mics for the drums? Sounds good if it`s from the GoPro.. :)

    • @jagodrum
      @jagodrum  8 лет назад +11

      It's a drum lite 'DRY' mix from our monitor Avioms and I have a sony stereo mic plugged into the GoPro to record the drums in the room. I mixed the drums a little louder from the GoPro feed into the Aviom mix. No processing was done on either.

      This is the Los Angeles Production....I believe it ran for over two years at the Pantages Theatre, so after that long these kind of charts get devoted to the memories of great drummers like Chris.

    • @evan4905
      @evan4905 5 лет назад +1

      This isn't the Los Angeles production you're thinking about. This video features the First National Tour company in their final weeks at the Pantages. You're referring to the sit-down production that ran from 2007-2009.

  • @mrmakaitv

    So cool, but why does it sound so different? It's a great different, I'm just curious why

    • @Btrains84
      @Btrains84 4 года назад

      If you mean the drums sound different,its because you're hearing the actual real raw sounds of them before they go through the mixer..

    • @mrmakaitv
      @mrmakaitv 4 года назад

      Ben Loudermilk No I understand that. I just meant the drums and guitar especially sound much different than what the actual charts say

    • @Btrains84
      @Btrains84 4 года назад

      @@mrmakaitv The orchestratations for the touring version of the show are slightly different than those used on Broadway and the cast album.. There might be different chordsor effect's that have been included for the touring version.. Heck,the actual Broadway ones themselves werent really Locked in til 2008..
