Wholly shit..!! I've been waiting for a pitch like this for decades! Straight and confident about his product and to the point..!! No BS. I will purchase a rifle from this company simply based on the video. Nice job..!!
I'm right there at the "just adjust the cheek riser down" stage in my life! Still waiting on my suppressor that is large enough to accommodate the 8.6 to get out of jail. Very excited about the 8.6 and saving my pennies for a FIX (I am one of the "poors", as KB might say).
Bring more 16" 8.6 barrels out! I want one for elk season in Colorado this year!!! Also... Hurry up with that direct scope mount that Kevin made a mention of!!!
Question: Does the fast twist, particularly with longer barrels (and the associated longer dwell times) have any influence on throat or crown wear? How about fouling? These aren't loaded questions, I am genuinely curious and the faster twists are outside of my current experience. I am looking forward to being a customer.
@@Randy_84 Dwell time as in the amount of time that the bullet is in the bore and subject to internal ballistics. Dwell time is not dependent on the action type.

Out of curiosity, could you get away with lowering the twist rate if you go for a longer barrel? Thinking about getting a barrel made for a bullpup rifle of mine, but it would have to be at least 16.5 inches. I wonder if it would be more practical to lower the twist rate to preserve barrel life rather than getting that little bit of extra oomph.

I am VERY interested in a 16” 8.6 Blackout Fix rifle. However, that proprietary Q-sert attachment system is a major buzzkill. Is MLok perfect? Hell no, but *everything* you could ever want to attach to a rifle is available in MLok. BTW are there QD sling attachment cups in intelligent places? Sling attachment points are the first thing I want on a bolt action rifle. Bipod attachment is the second. A hand stop would be mighty nice on that handguard… Eeeew proprietary attachment system 😵💫. Seriously I don’t want to hang a bunch of tacticool crap on a lightweight bolt action rifle, but make an MLok handguard an option.
For hunting deer, elk, and moose. Basically, all the big game in America. Is it worth going up to the 16-inch barrel, or can you use one of the shorter barrels, and which one for hunting? (leaving the SBR stuff aside)@@qllc8143
those are AR's. how are you going to compare that to a bolt action rifle? the main focus of the fix rifle is hunting. most states dont allow hunting with AR's.
@viciouswolf85 can have a sawed off delivered to your local post office and no stocks here. (SBR). Fighting a total gun ban right now. It could get sticky and fun and scary.
Seems extremely cool, although i couldn't find a single major manufacturer making this caliber which made me very sad. Also the 16" version is WAY heavy, be careful about your optics setup
That would be awesome, but tricky to pull off. Lever guns are designed around rimmed cartridges, so you'd probably need to modify the breechblock and extractor at a minimum, to get it to work. We're building a Mosin Nagant in 8.6 BLK right now, and we're having to machine a new bolt head from scratch for the same reason.
@@thevoyageur2152 Ah, I didn't realize that! In that case, if you buy one, remove the barrel and send it to me, I'll reverse engineer it and give you a drawing you can send to a barrel maker to have an 8.6 barrel made. I'll do it for free, just because I think that would be awesome.

We've got 16" barrels on the shelf 🤘
I’ve already bought one in my mind. The time just hasn’t elapsed yet. 😊 sweeeeeeet!
I’m gonna buy them both! The 16” and the SBR. Why…… cause I can. 🍩

My favorite part of the Big Fix and Mini Fix is the trigger(s) for sure. Favorite guns I own, and that includes a Honey Badger SD.
You are correct, CO. requires a 16 inch barrel for big game.
Gun control plan "what do you need a rifle/pistol that you can't hunt with?"
I have that scope and love it but he’s right, the caps are wack.
All T25: super awesome.
We thought of everything.
Bought a 16 inch. Just got approved to SBR it. Throwing a 12in barrel on it shortly.
Thats the way to do it!
This is the route I’m going how long did it take with current times? My badger took 9 month same as my thunder chicken
