Great and very thorough video. I mean that. I've been watching polo reviews for 3 weeks now lol. I was in the same boat as you, skeptical about psycho bunny but I'm going to have to give them a try now. Maybe one with a logo that is not so prominent. I would like to see your take on the J Crew polo, and a polo that is made in USA. Thanks for taking your time and making this video. Again, great stuff.
As an avid boss wearer you chose the most popular selling boss polo but not the most equivalent to your other purchases, the paddy pro is more of a sports polo to wear while golfing or doing activities so the polyester helps with moisture wicking. I would normally recommend the firenze they’re usually 100% pima cotton and more aligned with your other choices
Polo shirt brands I like and recommend are Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, Charles Tyrwhitt, Gran Sasso, Fynch Hatton, Orlebar Brown, Fred Perry and Tommy Hilfiger. Of course, chose 100% pique cotton and the proper fit for you.
Best I have ever worn was J Crew×Lacoste that seems to have been scratched. Always on a sale for around $80, heavier pique, slimmed out, tennis tail, 4 years old still holds a good shape.
@@MensFashionFilesyou should have tested the L1212 instead , a bit longer and better quality … and please no dryer on Lacoste polo. Every shop advices that…
Tip: ive been wearing Ralph Lauren polos for 40+ years. When you dry them only leave the shirt in the dryer till the shirt is dry and the collar is still damp. Put it on a hanger, shape the collar and it will stay. If you cook the crap out of them the collar will curl and do strange things. Also never iron the collar of any polo you will deform it permanently
I use Banana Republic Lux Touch polo shirts to the office. They’re the best value, being affordable and frequently on sale and are silky smooth. They won’t last too long though, with the collar giving in first.
Nice job with this video. Just discovered your channel today, and enjoyed this one. I find Lacoste's brand history to be particularly interesting, as an entire generation still refers to them as IZOD because of the long term licensing deal that was in place. Lacoste does have the tendency to shrink in the dryer, however the color remains intact after years of wear & washing.
Thanks for watching. New video on leather sneakers coming out tomorrow morning! Interesting, IZOD clothing is a lot cheaper than Lacoste so wasn't aware they did a collab in the past. And yes, the color and quality is stilling holding up for my Lacoste polos.
Psycho bunny forever, if you’re a bigger dude it’s perfect fit. 6’1, 245 lbs. I wear an XL. I got a larger chest and shoulders. Hands down the most comfortable polo I’ve ever worn. Also my PB polos have gone through the dryer a few times on accident. No shrinkage at all. Still perfect for
First ever polo I bought was a Fred Perry, I bought the exact same Lacoste polo, the L1212 but in light pink in the end of 2014. Since then to now I have bought 20-30 polos from Lacoste, all are extremely good quality and I have washed my pink one probably around 100 times now still has all of its colour and didn’t shrink one bit also own the same amount of Ralph Lauren polo shirts both are iconic Lacoste being more but, psycho bunny stole the button design from them. Since Lacoste invented the polo and because of its quality It will always be number 1 for me. Also Hugo boss recently split to separate brands, Hugo, and boss. Weirdly, your polo is obviously boss.
The problem with these types of reviews (especially if the reviewer simply bought and return them to do a RUclips review) is that they don’t to a comparison test after wash and dry. How does the fabric (look and feel) change after a wash and dry (hang dry vs machine dryer). What about shrinkage. Plenty of clothes feels and look great off the rack, not so much after.
As an avid polo shirt wearer of the shirts you reviewed that I am familiar with, I agree with your comments on Ralph Lauren and Lacoste. I love the look, fit, and feel of Ralph Lauren polo shirts but do not like the collars on them. Their button up long sleeve shirts hold up much better. Since I don’t like the collars on their polos, I prefer their solid color v neck tshirts. No collar issues on those and they hold up better. I like Lacoste too but yes they run too short which is annoying for me since I am 6’1”. Other polos I have are Vineyard Vines which are a bit too heavy for me. My favorite budget brand is the DKNY polo shirt (the 95% cotton/5% spandex). My 2nd favorite budget brand is Nautica. I don’t buy overpriced polos so all my RL, Lacoste, and VV i have gotten on sale. Paying $100+ for a polo is ridiculous.
I've been a fan of PB for a while now and definitely agree with your rating of the brand. The first brand you featured has peaked my curiosity 🤔. I see one in my future 😊
Happy to see that you took time to check out my video. It did take me multiple weekends to make this video along with the reddit post so much appreciate your support!
After your video I bought a Psycho Bunny pima cotton polo and a Collars and Co pique polo. The Psycho Bunny polo was fantastic! Well worth the money. Fit perfectly, felt luxurious. Collars and Co, I'm sending back. I realize pique cotton has a different feel than pima but I compared it to my Nautica pique cotton polo and it's disappointing. I paid over $100 for Collars and Co, $50 for Nautica. It was not worth double the price at all, even with the "better" collar. What also annoys me about Collars and Co is you have to pay your own shipping to return it. Psycho Bunny at least lets you print a label to return it. I'd like to see a video comparing Nautica against the other giants in your video.
Glad you like the Pima cotton feel. After getting Pima cotton, I could never go back to my pique cotton polos lol. Hopefully the return cost wasn’t too high for the collars and co. Enjoy your new polos!
POLO SHIRTS Lacoste proved to be the lightest weight. This is an important factor of the design. Bear in mind its a Summer look. Probably the most stylishly now PB ; with Lacoste being a traditional more classic retro look. Forget the rest. With the exception being PAUL AND SHARK Brand [ Made in Italy ] just outstanding.
Nice job covering popular brands but I would never recommend any of these polos. Sunspel, Luca Faloni, Pini Parma, Reiss, etc may not be as popular but offer superior and sustainable options.

Southern Tide Skipjack Polo, Criquet Player Polo, Southern Proper Proper Polo, and Rodd & Gunn makes some really decent polos. Absolutely agree with the Psycho Bunny choice. Ralph Lauren and LaCoste are way overrated.

I just always prefer the sleekness of the Fred Perry aesthetic, the colour combinations and sharpness amplified by the stripes and logo work so well
