- Rishi Sunak has commended Israel's prime minister for opening humanitarian aid routes to Gaza and announced that Britain would increase its aid package to the region.

Speaking at a press conference in Jerusalem, the British prime minister also told Benjamin Netanyahu that the UK 'absolutely supports Israel's right to defend itself in line with international law'.
The international charity Action Against Hunger has warned that lack of access to water in Gaza is a 'health crisis on the brink of explosion'
