Beautiful!!
What do you do when your Aubs tune yollew and what Do you Do when you're plants get slime green Spot on them and have you ever keep Blue Ram and what size tank would you keep them in I have a 10g tank with Aubs in it and other live plants but thay all are getting yollew spot on them so can you help me with that
Can we see the endler riparuim
You should put the green rasbora into the Asian aquarium (theyre Asian/Oceania right?)
Can I buy plant from the UK straight to the US?
It's so weird to think you went in, set up the camera, went out and back in again carrying the fish you bought... vlogging is so weird when you think about it 🤣
its all about the extra effort ;)
@@MDFishTanks love the combination of tetras btw! Love the different groups they form and the differing shapes and sizes 💖
Man, this tank is really amazing you got the same fish that I added in my aqua 10 days ago.
It was a nice surprise to me finding all them at same aquarium store, cause is so dificult
to came across with tetras especialy the Colombia and the corydoras adolfoi. I had been looking for them about 1 year, then I got so glad to finally having them in my aqua.
I also added the pink tetra and only 3 cooper tetra( known as "piabinha" a Tipic fish here in Brazil) they doesn't so common to be found but are beautifull. Hope to find more of them soon.
There is another fish that I wish to get and also w'd like to see it on your channel, the congo tetra.
Congratulations, you have made a nice choice.
Lol I think about that all the time 😅 but md makes look so natural much love MD
Love that WEHELLLLCOME BACK!!
Hatchet fish in an open tank, that's fish suicide IMO
Yeah tbh I wouldn't recommend it unless he lowered the water level or added a lid
7:30 apparently MD goes into fish stores and randomly feeds other people's fish, but not if it's too early 😂
Personality wise I think Panda Garra are the greatest scavengers ever. Hope you get a chance to try them 👍🏻
Hell yeah. Love the vids. I'm trying to do a similar scape in my own home aquarium.
same here it ended up abit different tho 😂
I am surprised you don't quarantine new fish... I've just started in the hobby and it's a lesson learned from the get go for me, unfortunately :( is it because you know the shops well ? I bought my fishes from what I thought was a very good shop, but they brought lots of parasite and bacterial infection with them, lost most of them but one, spent a fortune in medication and overall very frustrating experience! I won't do this again for sure!
ya hes talked about it before saying its cuz the store he gets them from is really good. Still a risk that i feel like he should avoid with his setups but his life haha
I know what you mean, I feel like it's somehow a lot worse at the moment with corona. My fishshop always had great fish which never died on me. Now I recently decided to go a few extra cardinals to the school, and now I have only 4 fish left. And fish I bought for my other aquarium came with intestinal parasites. So so much for trusting the quality at my fish shop.
He does quarantine fish he puts into his discus tanks.
@@curtisdesign have you seen this very video ? Fishes went straight from the shop to the tank, on their bags. Not judging. But no quarantine here.
I agree with you. I lost all my lovely bolivian rams because I did not quarantine newcomers. I will never ever do that mistake again.
You should start a new series where we recommend aquarium stores to you and you go around the UK filming reviewing and buying fish from them.
Have you ever been to Wharf Aquatics??..
Like George farmer
@@leebroadbent1340 best shop around
@@jhaych yeah it’s pretty local to me too which is a bonus 👍🏼
@@leebroadbent1340 yeah i live around 10/15 mins away thankfully
you shouldn't state your opinions as fact especially when it's based off observations from one tank and most of your viewers come to your channel to learn. literally everyone who knows about corydoras will tell you you're wrong when you say they're happy being in small groups of 3, they're fine but they're not thriving in small groups since they really do prefer larger schools of the same species, you just have 3 groups of sad corydoras lol.
You NEED to get your hands on some Amazon puffers, they’d be the effect centrepiece fish! The only puffer that likes to be in a group and form a lose “shoal”.
They’d be fine with the discus aswell, you could keep them in there separate tanks for now till putting them both in a larger Amazon scape down the line?
Isn' amazon puffer are aggrassive?
Laksamana Hang Tuah no, there the only “community” puffer. Cory from aquarium co-op did a good video on them awhile back!
@@ThatOneMalaysianGuy The aren’t aggressive unlike the pea puffer/dwarf puffer so he could have a few
I'm actually currently researching...seem to be very illusive.
Im done with hatchets.. they love to jump!
An awesome circle of greatness for sure!! You know they always say Cory's are bottom dwelling fish, but they are the most amazing community fish ever in the water column! They are more fun to watch than any fish ever in my opinion ♥️
Hope everyone's having a great day! Much love! 💚🌿🐟🌿💚
Mary Paige Flynn why don’t you try this in that big tank you recently got. It would be awesome.! Seeing all those tetras flying around would make my day lol.
I agree, what a fun project!
@@laurasutton4057 YES♥️🌿🐟🌿🤗
adding black water to the "amazon tank" ?
Hello md maybe dwarf ciclids?
I know your probs not gonna see this comment but I got probs like 6-8 inch 2 balla sharks and is 65 gallons enough for them cause I feel like the tank is too small and I feel bad for them
Also Colombian tetras, once they establish dominance, the males will develop a great orange coloring on the dorsal fin. 😍
Lets be real, you could tell the tank was not unbalanced because their was no fish die off, not because the plants didnt melt. we both know death is quicker then plant melting.
Snowball pleco is a good shout for a small fancy pleco
The L177 golden nugget pleco only gets 10cm
Black venezualan are actually schultzei black
MD don't get Archer fish they will eat your little tetras
Don't go with any archer fish in that amazon tank, they pure predators no matter what anyone may say....those tetras will be lunch in the span of 3 days, stick with hatchet fish very peaceful.
This tank definitely needs some apistogramma ramirezi.
15:15 MD thats exactly what they'd sound like hahaha
Fish lover from INDIA
Show some closeup macro shoots of all fish
Hi MD you really inspire me and I started a tank because of you, I'm making an amazon tank.
Hachet fish will jump out tank, pencil fish would be cool
Underrated comment, Nannostromus Beckfordi, Bifasciatus or Espei would be perfect in this tank
🔥 as always!
lots of different colour guppies would fill the top half of the tank and look amazing 👌🙏
I would love to have fish stores like his!
This is my favorite tank so far! It really has come together nicely! Well done!
Md’s face when he had to look over to look at the name of the Cory😭 I watched it over like 3 times😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Just awesome
MD have you considered putting a tall coat hanging rack on wheels then hanging a piece of black fabric from it? You could put it behind you when you're filming a tank and it would cut down on the reflections greatly. Just a thought since you mention reflections so often!
Hi MD. The black Cory's are actually a line bred variant of C.Shultzei rather than C.Venezuelanus, they just seem to carry a trade name for somewhere they've never existed. The Venezuelan Cory is orange.
Keep up the good work, enjoying the videos whilst working from home!
If the cleanup crew is really efficient, do you eventually have to feed them something?
Yes you will have to
Ah mate....just finished work and checked out the video....I love the variety of fish in this aquarium. Looks amazing!.
Hey MD 👋
I was wondering if you ever plan on getting a crab I was watching some of your other videos and saw you showing them 😅
Yeh woud be doup
@@henk4700 Dope* lol
@crownofthetree i am dutch
@@crownofthee6370 i am dutch sorry
@@henk4700 it’s ok lol
Hatchet fish are gonna jump out no doubt. Most surface fish will. Gourami won't jump from my experience though.
I love it
nice vid
@MD WHY DO YOU not acclimate the fish? You've not shown it in alot of your videos......
I was just watching your 55 gallon home tank for inspiration for the 55 I just picked up over the weekend. You’re the best keep up the amazing work
Nice dude hope* you make it bioactive
Waiting for the 3rd expansion and MASSIVE fish tanks!
Your Amazon scape is off the scale! Beautiful.
I enjoy your videos. Best fishkeeper channel my opinion and I'm subscribed to several big fishkeeper RUclipsrs .
Love it master 💚💚💚👍
I love all of your videos.
how big is the amazon aquarium? What is length, depth and height ??
best regards

Copenhagen/Denmark 😊
OMG!!! The colombian tetras!!! I need them in my next tank!!! I have white skirt tetras in my tank which is cool. But not much color. I love your tank hahahaha.
man your videos are very satisfying.much love form India❤️
Careful with the Columbian tetras... those guys get aggressive!!! But I know you have many tanks to house em in case you see a problem though 😀😀 Try black emperor tetras if you could get hold of some!! They have stunning eyes which will draw anyone's attention

Glad I found this channel a bit ago. I pop in and there’s great stuff
I love your channel, I watch every video. I'm chuffed you now have a full studio. Your amazing art what you do, but please.... Please stop putting an H in welcome, it drives me mad. All the best
What a great tank! If you already haven’t check out apistogramma’s, would be the cherry on the cake 👍🏼 imo the most beautiful amazon fish 👌🏼
dis iz awsome
Y don't u bring large fish like (Oscar,parrot,arwana,etc....)
MD what beneficial bacteria do you use? Is it API quick start? Awesome video BTW been a fan from the very start 👍
You should get super red bristlenose pleco great addition to your collection of fish 👍🐟
fish tank idea - everything mini, miniature plants (anubi petite n more), mini fish (maybe pygmy corys or dwarf puffers? idk just an idea i thought would be cute
Just rescaped my 20G emperor tetra tank, and stocked a 55 Gallon Reef tank ive been setting up for a while. Both are doing great. Hope to one day have a crazy studio like you for all of my aquariums, reptiles and inverts
I have a few questions: First you put the fish in for 20-30min. but you don't put some water in it like you did with the shrimps. Why? Another point is that otocinclus need the surface film so the aquarium has to run for minimum 3 months. And the last thing is that corys are swimming in a group and it is better for them to have a group of minimum 6 so I would say if you have three different corys you need 18 of them. Your opinion would be very interesting because fish keeping in different countrys is diffferent xd. So I am new in this community (I would say one year) but I got into this topic with many different sources.
Why aren't you quarantining them? Are you dosing the Amazon tank with meds often with how rapidly you are adding more fish? Just one bout of parasites will give you nightmares and could wipe out the whole tank. Just curious.
I've got 2 x similar established setups using Tropica substrate and gravel. I keep getting an oil like film on the water surface even though there's nearly 2 inch of gravel over the substrate. The plants/fish/shrimp are doing great but i have to skim it every 2 days! Anyone ever have this before?
One crucial piece of Aquascaping equipment I haven’t found yet is just the right carafe to weight down the handle of my net,
We saw 👀 u reading ur research materials form ur phone MD...anyways cool community uve got going on there
I'm wondering why you don't quarantine your fish. I know it's exciting, but I think at some point you can get badly bitten.
Hatchet fish jump a lot, so unless you have a lid on the tank, don't get them.
Great video as always. I personally wouldn't put that many different species in one tank, but it's definitely interesting and exciting!
Beautiful tank & fish - I LOVE your videos !
Wow!! This amazon tank is awesome, black venezuelas is amazing need to get some for my next tank, cardinals is my favorit "small" fish for now, have them in one of my tanks to 😍👍
What size tank is this? The links in comment take me to 25L and 90L! Also what size Biomaster filter are you using?
Absolute great youtube helped me care for my fish your tanks are absolutely beautiful I’m hoping for a new tank for my birthday
I wanna do this in my 54L tank that I'm getting soon but scaled down in stock obviously
Edit: it's actually 34L lol
I set up a new tank with no fish, and its been running for two days I added two Rocks From my yard that I cleaned; today the water getting cloudy. Should it be getting cloudy without fish producing ammonia? or is this part of the cycle.
Oh gosh. The Colombians are here! Gangster fishworld. 🤣
Hey MD - what will the cleanup crew eat once they’ve cleaned up the algae? I’m assuming that once the tank is balanced, it wont produce enough natural food for them.
Cories are awesome little fishies, your albino and bronze cories probably get along so well because the albino cories are most of the time an albino morph of the bronze (aneus) cories. Breeding cories is a lot of fun as well, my bronze cories have recently spawned, and the eggs have hatched, and now I have tiny little baby cories wiggling around. Cory breeding is often triggered by a water change with water a few degrees cooler than the tank itself, but they are likely to eat the eggs after they lay them, so a breeding tank is recommended. Anyways, would love to see some baby cories appear in a video some day, good luck and cheers from The Netherlands!
I know this is an ancient video and you probably wont read this but I take my chances... did any of the tetra jump out? Im thinking about getting colombians but I have an open top.
hello I'm from Indonesia and I'm inspired by discus aquascape and I'll try to build it like yours for my manfish
If you get hatchetfish they will jump out if you do not have a lid. I had a 30 inch tall aquarium filled halfway and every time I walked by the tank they would jump very high.
Hi. Hatchet fishes is a bad idea fir your tank. Don t get me wrong, your tank is great. But without a roof Hatchet fishes will jump out of the tank.
Your tank is awesome. Love all the fish. More black Koories would look great. 🥰
Any top dwelling fish in that set up will end up on the floor if the top isn't covered.
Looks great tho.
Archers will eat every tetra in that tank btw. Ive got clouded archers and they are pigs
First of all the tank is very beautiful:)
Black corydoras are man-made variety, the real Venezuelan cories are the orange. I am mentioning this since I see that you are so interested in fish!
I think your smaller fish struggle a little bit with the flow. If your cardinals are still swimming near the bottom that's a clear sign that the flow is more at the strong side!
With the top dwellers, you should be careful of jumpers since there's no lid on the tank. Something like hatchetfish and archerfish will hop right out lol
Next time can you get rainbow fish I think you would love them
Panda cory cats are really cool. They look good too. I have 11 in my 75 gal blackwater setup
great job! i love your scapes, they really inspire me.
I have a mixed breed pleco it’s bristle nosed and long finned it’s a female and it’s currently having babies
Pencilfishes and Apistogramma work in this setting too!
I bought 1 columbian tetra as mistake and from this time I love them. I have one in 80 liters fish tank with draft gurami and now are same size. Look like small piranha
wow those colombian tetras really took this tank to another level
Bro if u ever get pandagaras dont ever put them with discus because once they get a taste of the discus slime coat they dont give the discus a break..i have a video on my channel about the pandagaras giving my discus a hard time
Those are some lucky fish to call that place home
MD you have to get panchax for the top such beautiful fish 😍 plus the tank is stunning btw 👍🏼
If you put archerfish in the tank, you could put bugs on the plants above and watch them shoot them off!
Enclosed paludarium, with splash tetra and hatchet fish.
I am always skipping the intro because of spoilers :D
MD nice video but i have some things i thought you'd be interessed to know
first off all the ansistrus are not bristol nose plecos they are a diffrent family than plecos so not the same. they are ansistrus
and mixinng corys is not always a good idea, you can almost always mix corys but only if you buy anough that each speice can school. the reason your corys school in the discus tank, is beacause sterbai and albinos are the same.
Looks fantastic, now how about finishing it off with Apistogramma chiclids.
