I know it's hard to take on board, but I think I speak for most when I say I am so grateful for everything you show us, good and bad. I would never judge you for anything you show us, it's brilliant to get a view into a commercial room like this!
Bro. Don't lose heart, your video's are always really ace! I can only imagine if you film setting up a new fish room they would be super ace. Many of us are learning with you, so don't feel ashamed to show the downs as well as the ups. In Dutch we say "gedeelde smart is halve smart" something like shared misery is half the misery.
Crazy to see how far you've come from when I first started watching the channel! Don't worry about it, no aquarium is ever 100% and that's just apart of the hobby. We all make mistakes, forget things or just don't keep up. You're doing incredible and your videos are always great to watch
Love the videos you do absolutely brilliant I’ve been keeping Fish for about 50 years now And still learning . No Fish room is perfect So don’t let it get to you the fish room looks fine keep the videos coming stay safe George and England UK 👍🇬🇧
Hi Nick Thank you for being so open about your fish room. The hobby really needs more people like you. There should be no secrets for successfully keeping and breeding fish. Too many new hobbyists become quickly overwhelmed and discouraged with things, that always do go wrong for us all in the beginning. Having knowledgeable and approachable persons like yourself will help those hobbyists solve these initial failures and then possibly prevent the many thousands of new fish keepers that come and then just quit within a couple of weeks. As they often find it difficult to find the answers, or they are not brave enough to ask. Fearing that they will just be laughed at or criticized for their lack of understanding. At the end of the day only those that consistently put in the time and effort required, will be successful in breeding fish for profit. And most like to make money, though not nearly as many are prepared like yourself, to endure the time and efforts required to become a successful fish breeder. Nick could you tell me please the other dimensions of your 4ft tanks are they 45cm or 60cm wide and high? Cheers Carl
Ok it’s 6am but I found time to watch the full vid ( thanks for watching my rubbish 😂) You sound a bit over it 😂😂 you definitely need someone to help you clean and remove the bloody snails. I’m sure you will in your next fush room. The rainbows look good, you should start doing more of them and some cool tetra species. Woof!
Hey Nick. You are really smashing it mate I can't wait to see the next room you set up with all the points you have learned with this one. It's all a big learning journey with aquatics. I feel flat out running 25 tanks at times but it's worth being in the room every day of the year to get success. Thanks for your videos bro
Hi, I have been watching your videos before i even started out in the hooby. Your knowledge and advice has helped me alot! Thank you for the content you make!
My guy / Mate lol I learned so much from your videos and knowledge that you give us in you videos, you are a legend to me already lol,I currently have A 52 gallon aquarium with guppies red eye tetras, albino corridora's,neon tetras, dwarf gouramis, white fin tetras and soon I will be putting in a male Betta
Really looking forward to some pea puffer breeding videos in the future! I'm a little sad that the angelfish breeding didn't work out in your current fish room, they're my favorite fish. It does keep me looking forward to your eventual move into a bigger fish room though!
Me too! I live on Lake Macquarie & love seeing the puffers swim around the jetty, unfortunately they seem to be dwindling in numbers. Look forward to the breeding project too❤️🇦🇺
Great fish room tour nick!. Loved seeing all of the fish you r breeding and all the fry!.love the dedication and commitment you put into your fish room.
Waiting for update on how you and your family are doing in the floods. Hopefully you have been able to access the fishroom during the flood. Electricity, generator and the entire business updates would be appreciated by all of your viewers. Absolutely understand if not able. Best thought to you. Hugs
Hi KFS i like your videos and live in western Australia and keep fish a have a fish room in the house so also breeding heaps of common and expensive bettas and black bar endlers
Great room mate you have put years of effort and love into your fishy life 💚. Is it Movember already??? Don't forget what the Mexicans said last time 😉
how do you deal with the hydra? I'm not sure i dealt with the same species you have, mine seemed a bit bigger when i had them. I was raising guppies in a colony tank, and one by one, i noticed them paralyzing the fish that got to close, and i had so many fry deaths in that tank. Do the ones in your tank not bother smaller fish?
Love the details of your video! I'm curious how you get "new blood" into your breeders to prevent health issues. I have minnows in my outdoor koi pond which are exhibiting interbreeding issues. I'm reluctant to go to a chain store for fear of infecting my pond with parasites or other organisms. I'm in the U.S., but curious what YOU do to get new blood.
That's a great idea. Come to think of it, doesn't Dean use that set up? I'm pretty sure that Nick said he copied Dean's setup and I know some other RUclipsr, I think it was Simply Betta, said that Dean uses Matten filters. If that's the case I'm guessing that's why he likes that setup. I'm surprised Nick isn't already doing that.
Hey I am breeding cpd like fish using a floating basket in a larger tank and it's working great keeping the parent in the tank the entire time. If you want I can share with you pics/vids of it and more details if you would like to try it. I am using a 50 gallon tub rn and when I can I'll be trying it with a 4'×8' tank.
I have question concerning the discus. I noticed the gills on the close up looked very red and there was some tissue protruding from under the gill plate. Sorry I don’t know the scientific way to say it. That didn’t seem normal to me. Did it run into any illness problem? I ask because I saw a similar issue one of my silver dollars.
Ok so my bristlenoses laid their first batch of eggs today. I ended up moving the male and the cave to a different smaller tank on his own because the other 3 males were all trying to get into his cave for an hour and I think it was stressing him out. When one of the males actually got fully into the tank I took the bad and his cave put and now he’s fanning them again in the other tank. There are 6 other caves. Any idea why all the males wanted to get into his cave?
Hello Nick. I have a question. I had a couple of GBR spawning every ten days in my community aquarium. And everytime the snails ate the eggs. So, I took them alone to a ten gallon tank. But they never spawned there, and the male started to be agressive with the female. I took them back to the main aquarium and the male still chasing the female all the time. What could I do to stop that behavior?
Totally understandable that some tanks don’t look great or some things aren’t producing. I breed on a smaller scale than this but I think people think “this guy is super successful and must have everything perfectly under control” and a lot of people don’t understand that breeding tanks are for breeding, not to look good. “Ugly” tanks are usually what fish like to breed in anyways. Moss and messy plants give great cover and mulm is great to have in grow outs so the babies have a constant food supply if they look for it or aren’t picky. Also, not everything is going to be producing all at once, lots of fish like to take breaks to regain strength after breeding. Sometimes you’ll see fish doing the opposite of that and non stop producing like one of my plecos and people will ask how you made them do that but that’s the thing, there is no secret to making a fish do exactly what you want cause they don’t care what you want, they’re fish.
You shouldn't keep apologising for some of your tanks being less than spotless. It's a working fish room, a breeding set up not a load of display tanks. The tanks are supposed to be efficient, not necessarily pretty.
The buried botanicals tend to rot under the sand, because of no oxygenation. As a result, compounds like hydrogen sulfide (harmfull for fish) can emerge. I would recommend to remove the leafs.
My only comment is that once you get breeding of the gold ram, get a couple of broods and then euthanize it if TB is a problem. Don't sell it and spread TB in the hobby.
I know it's hard to take on board, but I think I speak for most when I say I am so grateful for everything you show us, good and bad. I would never judge you for anything you show us, it's brilliant to get a view into a commercial room like this!

So much ahead Nick. Cant wait for the next room you got planned
I could live in your fish room. Very calming for a strange reason

You could use the pea puffers to take care of your snail problem in your pleco breeding tanks.
Well done and thank´s for sharing. Greetings from Belgium.

Oh my goodness! I know that aquarium store! 🤣 I actually bought my angelfish from there!!
Really looking forward to some pea puffer breeding videos in the future! I'm a little sad that the angelfish breeding didn't work out in your current fish room, they're my favorite fish. It does keep me looking forward to your eventual move into a bigger fish room though!

Hi Nick, I love watching your videos. Your passion, honesty and dedication comes through every time. Thumbs up from Scotland. 👍

For the puffers: u need a lot of dirt at the ground. That how it works for me. At the moment i have more then 300 and i started with 10

WOW THIS IS A GREAT ROOM HUHU Hoping to have somthin' like this someday.

Do you use fertilisers for the plants you hold in the tanks besides the fish waste? Nice room :)
Awesome! learned alot from your videos!
Do you have a video on baby shrimp??
Hi. Hope you're having a great day. Could you please tell me what type and brand of brooder box you are using to hatch your eggs? Thank you.
Looks good!!
i love theses i have two in my personal tank!
You should check out what Dean just did in the last Aquarium Co-Op video...might help your fry system from clogging.
Great room mate you have put years of effort and love into your fishy life 💚. Is it Movember already??? Don't forget what the Mexicans said last time 😉
Hey mate I’ve asked on a few videos but where do you purchase the external fry savers?
Bro are you selling those peppermint plecos? So pretty.
Nice fish room
Im a new subscriber, is the fishroom in your house? :o its a total dream xD

best place to buy plants in QLD aus? Thanks KFS!

The pea puffers like eating snails and I found that they grow faster
How do you get so much moss to grow?
If you put a mattenfilter before you're pump, it will suck up clean water and you're connection's wound be filled up. I works for me.

@@kbrown5523 I have the idea from Dean, so your right.
I love this
6:19 there is a crack in the wood under your tank...
did i just see a hilstream loach blink?
awesome video
so why do you remove the catfish eggs from the parents?
Hey I am breeding cpd like fish using a floating basket in a larger tank and it's working great keeping the parent in the tank the entire time. Also I love what you are doing and that we get to experience it thru your channel, I think experience is priceless.
Awesome
I’m curious is it the same ratio of black rams if you breed two black rams together rather then breed blue blacks and sort out midnights
Great fish room. Is fish breeding your primary income?
Question? whywould you have fish with hydra what i understand thats not a good mixure??????????????????????????????????????????????????????
