I can see the most focused question in comments is about pan and tilt, let's hope zeapon raise their speed because without these functions the slider is just a one leg champion. Thanks Mr. Wong for such great review, and I just ordered one E800.
Excellent Review! I will also buy either the e600 or e800 version next week and have a few questions regarding your experience: for what purpose do you actually use that slider and why you got the e800 over the more compact e600? Which tripod are you using because it looks very stable and ideal for a slider setup? To be honest I see these support frame structure "nun chakus" as not ideal because every time you change the angle or height of the tripod you need to readjust those flimsy arms. Sounds like a lot of work each time. Since I will be using it with the Fuji XT4 and 16mm lens my total camera setup will be about 1,2 kg. Do you think I still need to setup the nun-chakus for support or will a stable tripod like yours just be enough to balance it all during the entire travel distance? It would maybe also be great for future video where you show which video projects you actually do with the slider and how you set it up each time? Thanks for answering my questions and keep up the great work
hi Darius, I already have the original micro 2 slider so for me it makes sense to get the longest e800. i kind of agree with your nunchuck comment. The original micro2 is great because of it's easy to setup. You do not have to use it on the E600/e800 if you are using a light camera or only move the track slighter.. but a big camera moving all the way would require it. Xt4 + 16mm lens, i guess MAYBE.. but i'm quite sure the track will lean/tilt a bit when fully extended as it happens on my original and much shorter micro2 already with similar weight camera. my tripod is quite an old Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod. I do not recommend using carbon fibre tripod with the nunchuck as there is a risk when you try to tighen it, it might crack the carbon fibre. if it's metal then you don't have to worry that much
I think I need help! I created a 30 minutes camera slider review!! And that's after I skipped over a lot of topics I've mentioned in my previous Zeapon reviews. Are there really so many things I need to talk about in my review?? I did create a timeline for those of you who want to check out only a section of the review, in the video description above. Thanks for watching :)
Hi Richard. This is a wonderful detailed review. There are 2 kinds of people watching your video. 1. They just want to know what it is. 2. They look for a solution and want to know every possible detail and see if this product will satisfy their requirements. They want to know everything about it before taking the plunge, like ME 😀 I would say your video perfectly fits type 2. Please continue to make these videos. Maybe, you could make a short/quick cut of this video in to a 3 to 4 minute video, and post that, with "Short" or "Quick" somewhere in the title. All the best 👍
@@ilak2k sorry about the late reply. RUclips quite often doesn't like to notify me when someone reply so I just happeb to click on this and saw your message. Apologize for my late reply. Thanks for your feedback! I will definitely continue to make some longer video...and see if I could add a short one if time allows
Great video! I would like to ask you a couple of things if you don't mind. Would you say that the slider need the "lunchakos" even if you don't use the whole length? What about the pan & tilt motor module.. Have you heard anything from zeapon about the development/launch dates...? Thanks for the video, it was very helpful!
If you only using a small length and not a very heavy camera, pretty sure you can just use it without the additional support. The whole slider is just as solid (more solid I would say) than the original micro2. The additional modules. Last time I heard it was under development, but I understand they have many projects happening at the moment including improving their existing app and products so maybe it will take a bit of time? I am also eagerly waiting for those modules as well
@@TheRealRichardWong Thanks for the fast answer Richard! I hope they could finish this pan & tilt module soon, as I would be more confromtable investing on a long term slider solution.. Keep the great content!
I will let you know if I heard anything from them. I agree there are many people like you waiting for their whole system to come out. Can't wait!! But at the same time, I do also wish they take their time and create a solid product and don't rush
@@TheRealRichardWongIt sounds great Richard, thanks again! And yes, it would be nice that the new module would be at least as robust as the slider itself 👍

Richard at 12:37 when you show the total travel distance is that the top speed of the slider - or can it go faster. I'm doing slo mo and I want to travel much faster than that to make it look right. Probably need to be 2x or 3x faster
Awesome , i have seen a lot of zeapon slider reviews , this by far is the best , what tripod head are you using at 19:46 and how it perform ? It look similar to what i have bought the innorel F60 but i have not received it
Thank you and glad you like the review. The tripod at that time frame is a Pergear one. Sorry i cannot remember the model number but if you go to their website there are only a few so you should be able to find it. If you can't find it, let me know i'll try find it for you
@@TheRealRichardWong sorry bro my mistake , I mean the video fluid head , and one more question if you do not mind what is the weight of the e800 slider ( including the motor and easy lock ), thanks
sorry my friend, RUclips didn't send me any notification. So only saw it when i manually go through some old comments. The video fluid head is actually a no brand one but seems to do the job OK. Re the weight, sorry for some reason i couldn't find the info anywhere, my guess is around 4-5kg
Hi Richard, love your review .Can you help ive got the E800 slider can i buy a new track from the motor end the track is missing the 3/8 female screw Thanks in advance Roy
Hi Viceroy, I am not really aware you can buy that bit. But if you are just missing a screw, can you try buy one from a local hardware shop? That would be cheaper I guess. Failing that, maybe contact Zeapon directly and see if they can help you with that? Be aware they are having chinese new year holiday so won't be back to work for another two weeks I believe. Let me know if you can't get any help and I will see if I can do anything else to help you
