Crank but No Start Repair DIY -2004 350z Nissan...

Cranks but wont start something is draining the battery i beleave their was a short in the 12v socket before the problem ecclated....checked fuses and relays...could be fuel pump related...

Here, let me save ya all the time and just tell ya whst the problem was. It was the fuel pump relay.

No relay good so far I replaced the starter and my mechanic guy replaced ignition switch with a push to start

There's a red light on top of the dash on the driver side that is a key ignition safety that makes mine crank and not start till I play with my key a bit

Mine was doing the same thing. You can do a reset easily as long as you have a good ‘chipped’ key.
Here’s how you do the reset.
Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System key (for
example, when interference is caused by an-
other Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System key,
an automated toll road device or automated
payment device on the key ring), restart the
engine using the following procedures:
1. Leave the ignition switch in the ON position
for approximately 5 seconds.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF or LOCK
position, and wait approximately 5 seconds.
3. Repeat step 1 and 2.
4. Restart the engine while holding the device
(which may have caused the interference)
separate from the registered Nissan Ve-
hicle Immobilizer System key.
If the no start condition re-occurs, NISSAN
recommends placing the registered Nissan
Vehicle Immobilizer System key on a separate
key ring to avoid interference from other de-
vices.
