If they will include him in the MonsterVerse, I'm pretty sure he will be reimagined as one of the Titans that were awakened (he will be a species of giant turtle that evolved on Earth instead of being created by the Atlanteans, but he was worshipped by the Atlanteans as a benevolent god). My guess is that he will have a rivalry with Godzilla and King Kong, but he respects Mothra for being a protector of life (which fits Gamera's theme as "the Friend of All Children"). He will also have an intense hatred towards the Gyaos and King Ghidorah (and maybe Gigan if they will include him in the future), as they are destroyers of life. Gamera will also be tied to legends of the Four Guardian Beasts (with him as Genbu (the Black Tortoise), Manda as Seiryu (the Azure Dragon), King Caesar as Byakko (the White Tiger), and a new bird kaiju (my guess will be one that looks like a hybrid of a phoenix and an Archaeopteryx) as Suzaku (the Vermillion Bird)).
Technically there was an official crossover but it was a stage show back in the 60s or 70s which was hosted by Toho Studios. Would've been awesome to see but unfortunately there is no photos of that existing

Before there was Legendary Godzilla. There was Heisei Gamera. Both whose motives is basically keeping balance of the planet. Also Heisei Gamera, a time when Gamera had beaten Godzilla at his own game.
Gamera was always an interesting monster, a little more "mortal" than the unstoppable Godzilla, thus he had to use his wits to overcome his opponents. I do wonder what his plan for a Gamera 4 would have been.

I could totally see the history of Gamera being introduced into the Legendary Godzilla Monsterverse, the Atlantis angle could be a tie in where the Atlantians created the Gyaos to combat the Titans like Godzilla and the Gyaos turning on them leading to the creation of the Gameras. I think that could be cool, but that's just me, forgive me, this is my first introduction to Gamera to which I find him very fascinating.
His 90s films are among the best of the genre. I liked how dark and grim these gamera films were. I hope it does get a proper introduction to a newer generation of kaiju fans.

Man, i remember watching both Godzilla and Gamera back in my childhood after school, and they were both awsome. I hope that someday Gamera will return stronger than ever, and i hope to see a crssover between Godzilla and Gamera teaming up against their foes. That would be sick! And yeah, it is also disappointing that Gamera doesn't have any good video game out there.

If Godzilla King of the Monsters & the Godzilla vs King Kong do well, I TRUELY believe they will bring Gamara into the the crossover. They came close to a Godzilla Gamara showdown some years ago, but neither side wanted their monster to loose. But major box office sales can change that.
growing up i use to watch a lot of godzilla movies and found a few gamera movies at block buster as a kid. i always thought they was in the same universe and thought id see a godzilla and gamera movie since i ended up loving them both. sad truth when i found out they are 2 separate things.
Funny Story: I bought a DVD copy of Destroy All Monsters along with Gamera Guardian of the Universe as a double pack, but ignored my Gamera DVD for a long time. Then I decided to give it a watch, while keeping my expectations low, since I felt Gamera wouldn't be as great as Godzilla. And BOY WAS I WRONG! Gamera Guardian of the Universe was such a great movie, it made me wanna watch the other Gamera movies to see what they were like. And after watching them for myself, the Heisei Gamera movies were awesome!, the Showa movies, not so much.
I have an Idea for a kaiju. It has a Circle shaped body, but not a sphere. The legth and width are normal, but the height is nearly halfed. It has a row of spikes on its back, stretching onto the tail, and on the tail, there are smaller spikes on the sides. It has a scrunched up neck, and can stretch the neck. It has four elephant-like legs and feet. It has two horns on it's head, and it has 2 lizard eyes. It has a bug-like mouth, and large mandibles. The mandibles create electrical charges, and when they make contact, it shoots a laser beam. name my kaiju.
I've seen the Showa Gamera films. I loved them as a kid, but not so much now. The thing is, I still love some of the Godzilla films from this era. The Hessei Gamera films are pretty good.

I’m used to the Showa Movies- they were my first and I prefer the old Movement, but definitely Heisei takes the crown in terms of Plot, History and Lore. Showa barely had a Lore

Considering my only interaction with Gamera was MST3K, feels weirdly refreshing to see something more... shall we say, serious, done with the monsters. The designs were decent and creative, but just needed the polish only advances in tech and time can bring.
10:24 I just realized that the Gameras in this panel depict all of the iterations of Gamera over the years! Top and bottom left are the two Gameras that appeared in Gamera the Brave, bottom right is Showa Gamera, top center is the 2016 short film Gamera, and in the middle is Heisei Gamera. Makes me wonder about that one in the top right that’s spinning...
I'm going to try to put this into the atmosphere and I hope that it manifests itself. Gamera and Godzilla should team up and defend the earth after they decide to form an allegiance against a terrible enemy from outer space that has a monster that's so big and so terrible that they must fight him with teamwork. They're both guardians of the earth and should join forces. That's just the kid in me dreaming. They're both my favorite kaiju since I was a child in the 60s. 🐅
If there ever is a Godzilla vs Gamera crossover I think Gamera would be able to fight effectively at range but in close range he would be knocked around by Godzilla due to the gigantic weight difference, Godzilla on the other Hand would probably be able to use a nuclear pulse to damage Gamera heavily and his atomic breath would probably knock Gamera around, I’d say it’s an even fight
I actually like Gamera more than Godzilla because of these movies. Here's hoping they eventually make the film proposed in 2015. It's a crying shame they never got to make Godzilla vs Gamera tho.
Shin godzilla and the anime trilogy alone gave godzilla more power than any other godzilla, and even then all they added where atom beams coming out of its tail and back as well as "roar" ability
Gamera often gets labeled as a poor man's Godzilla but he's an awesome kaiju in his own right. Hope we finally get an official crossover someday.

Showa gamera and second showa godzilla would be to long, and I doubt they ever Cover them
Gamera may not have been my favorite showa era Kaiju, but he's definitely my favorite heisei era Kaiju.
Hope this channel does a profile for Gyaos eventually, I think that monster is a fascinating villain and they’re pretty threatening

Man, i remember watching both Godzilla and Gamera back in my childhood after school, and they were both awsome. I hope that someday Gamera will return stronger than ever, and i hope to see a crssover between Godzilla and Gamera teaming up against their foes. That would be sick! And yeah, it is also disappointing that Gamera doesn't have any good video game out there.

If Godzilla King of the Monsters & the Godzilla vs King Kong do well, I TRUELY believe they will bring Gamara into the the crossover. They came close to a Godzilla Gamara showdown some years ago, but neither side wanted their monster to loose. But major box office sales can change that.

growing up i use to watch a lot of godzilla movies and found a few gamera movies at block buster as a kid. i always thought they was in the same universe and thought id see a godzilla and gamera movie since i ended up loving them both. sad truth when i found out they are 2 separate things.
Funny Story: I bought a DVD copy of Destroy All Monsters along with Gamera Guardian of the Universe as a double pack, but ignored my Gamera DVD for a long time. Then I decided to give it a watch, while keeping my expectations low, since I felt Gamera wouldn't be as great as Godzilla. And BOY WAS I WRONG! Gamera Guardian of the Universe was such a great movie, it made me wanna watch the other Gamera movies to see what they were like. And after watching them for myself, the Heisei Gamera movies were awesome!, the Showa movies, not so much.

The spinning saw attack reminds me of Saucer Beasts from Grendizer. Gamera looks exactly like one of them.

I have an Idea for a kaiju.
It has a Circle shaped body, but not a sphere. The legth and width are normal, but the height is nearly halfed. It has a row of spikes on its back, stretching onto the tail, and on the tail, there are smaller spikes on the sides. It has a scrunched up neck, and can stretch the neck. It has four elephant-like legs and feet. It has two horns on it's head, and it has 2 lizard eyes. It has a bug-like mouth, and large mandibles. The mandibles create electrical charges, and when they make contact, it shoots a laser beam.

I've seen the Showa Gamera films. I loved them as a kid, but not so much now. The thing is, I still love some of the Godzilla films from this era.

I'm not a huge gamera fan, and I love this video. I also love the hesiei gamera trilogy.
I’m used to the Showa Movies- they were my first and I prefer the old Movement, but definitely Heisei takes the crown in terms of Plot, History and Lore. Showa barely had a Lore

Gamera is one of most powerful kaijus I've ever seen in my life
Considering my only interaction with Gamera was MST3K, feels weirdly refreshing to see something more... shall we say, serious, done with the monsters. The designs were decent and creative, but just needed the polish only advances in tech and time can bring.

10:24 I just realized that the Gameras in this panel depict all of the iterations of Gamera over the years! Top and bottom left are the two Gameras that appeared in Gamera the Brave, bottom right is Showa Gamera, top center is the 2016 short film Gamera, and in the middle is Heisei Gamera. Makes me wonder about that one in the top right that’s spinning...
I'm going to try to put this into the atmosphere and I hope that it manifests itself. Gamera and Godzilla should team up and defend the earth after they decide to form an allegiance against a terrible enemy from outer space that has a monster that's so big and so terrible that they must fight him with teamwork. They're both guardians of the earth and should join forces. That's just the kid in me dreaming. They're both my favorite kaiju since I was a child in the 60s. 🐅

If there ever is a Godzilla vs Gamera crossover I think Gamera would be able to fight effectively at range but in close range he would be knocked around by Godzilla due to the gigantic weight difference, Godzilla on the other Hand would probably be able to use a nuclear pulse to damage Gamera heavily and his atomic breath would probably knock Gamera around, I’d say it’s an even fight

Wow Gamera has so many cool moves and unique powers. Kinda wish Godzilla’s moveset was a bit more varied like Gamera.
Shin godzilla and the anime trilogy alone gave godzilla more power than any other godzilla, and even then all they added where atom beams coming out of its tail and back as well as "roar" ability
