Heisei Godzilla: a perfect combination of intelligence and power. That determined look in his eyes. A powerful, monstrous exterior but a caring personality when needed, an origin of pain but the willpower to always keep fighting. THIS is what the King Of The Monsters looks like.
What I love the most is that Heisei Godzilla starts out as a Chaotic Evil Godzilla that ultimately becomes a Chaotic Good/Neutral Anti-Hero Godzilla. He was born from the folly of man and so hates them, but is shown to be more sympathetic of the many Godzillas. And the most human-like Godzilla as well when it came to his relationship with Godzilla Junior.
By far the best looking and best character qualities for the big G in this series. He's not good he's not bad. He is who he is. Unstoppable...as he was meant to be.

No. He's not the god of the monsters. He's the king of the monsters. Godzilla can die, so he's not a god. And he was also defeated by humanity and monsters, so he is not a god of the monsters or the king of the monsters. However, he really is powerful and is my favorite monster of all time.
Of all Godzilla, Heisei version is undoubtly is the most Popular and well known to me. His overall design inspired me to draw several kaiju because of his physique and the story plot is filled and mixed with action ,drama. Unlike the other version whose sole purpose is total destruction

That he becomes, to me at least, more than just the King of the Monsters. And on how despite the defeats he has in almost all of the Heisei movies, he keeps rising back up! Someone made a picture of Godzilla from "Final Wars" that shows this quote: "Strength comes not from winning every battle, but continuing to fight despite the losses." And this is why I use the Showa and Heisei versions of certain monsters, including Godzilla, in my Disney/Toho "Monsters and Magic" series and my other Disney/Toho specials. They have a certain class/charm/substance/essence/truth that today's modern Godzilla and monsters do not have. They also have more potential and possibilities then the current Monsterverse ones. Additional Trivia: Unfortunately, the 89-91 suit wasn’t the first time a Goji suit was stolen as a little bit after the Return of Godzilla came out, someone snuck into Toho’s SFX department and stole the 84Goji suit, and sadly unlike the 91 suit, it wasn’t as lucky as it was never found.

He doesn’t turn. Only when consuming too much Radiation. Make a difference between Self- Mutation and Mutation through Natural Reasons and Rodan helped him reach it kinda.
But it was not in vein as his son Junior, was resurrected in adult form thanks to his father’s sacrifice. And thus Junior became the new Godzilla ready for action. Sadly this story was never followed up upon. As the series would continually be rebooted. Dropping him all together.
Whenever I'm thinking of a in-universe reason for why Godzilla's face changes between "The Return of Godzilla" and "Godzilla vs. Biollante", I always think that his 84Goji face got molten into the BioGoji face due to the heat of the lava in the volcano he was trapped in 😅
my mom never wanted to watch a goji film but she was one day sitting in front of the t.v. and the 2014 film was playing...she loved goji, after some introduction to the og Japanese films she became a real fan
My earliest memory is of watching Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla on VHS. I played it until the tape wore out. To this day, the only movie that comes close to topping it Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. The Heisei series is a masterpiece.

I did not know Godzilla was originally going to be a T-Rex but hey that kind of fits him because well he’s the king of the monsters and the T-Rex was the king of the dinosaurs so that would’ve actually been a pretty cool idea if that actually happened, also if I do make my own Godzilla movie one day, I’ll probably have Godzilla be a T-Rex that survived the extinction of the dinosaurs only to be mutated by a nuclear bomb 11:35
The heisei series was kinda like a revival for Godzilla, the series made Godzilla cool again and changed Godzilla's reputation from being considered kids material ,to being something that is considered more mature. The heisei series also changed the reputation of cheap rubber suits to suits that make you amazed that they are even suits. Both me and my sister are fans of the heisei series, the story is more interesting and the monsters look better. In fact the first Godzilla movie I watched was a heisei movie Godzilla and mothra the battle for earth. I'm glad that the heisei series actually has English titles that make sense unlike Godzilla's revenge or Godzilla on monster island why must the showa series titles make zero sense
Definitely the most iconic design for Godzilla, and my favorite. The films may vary in quality (vs King Ghidorah would be better if it had a better origin for Ghidorah) but Heisei Goji is always awesome. He also has the best roar.
Added Note for Trivia: The Heisei Godzilla design was chosen to represent the Big G in the Symphogear XDU Mobile game for a crossover event, other Kaiju included were Kiryu, Heisei Ghidorah, Heisei Mothra, and Gigan.
