I love Tiberian Sun so much. Even though I probably logged more hours on RA2 than any other C&C game, TS may be my overall favorite. It absolutely nails the sci-fi setting of the Tiberian Saga, high tech units blowing the shit out of each other in wastelands. While I played the hell out of RA2, it has this cartoony feel, and ultimately I prefer the Cold War atmosphere of RA1.
I've played through all the C&C games multiple times (besides C&C 4 Tib Twilight but that doesn't count) except for Tib Sun. Played through maybe a quarter of it. I just cannot get over how damn goofy the units look. The wolverine with its stubby legs pumping furiously and holding its stump arms out looks like some sort of Winnie the Pooh running up to hug something. The Titan looks like an amputee with one extra large arm and its sensor array looks like head that is way too small, is placed too far back, and is attached to his armless shoulder. The Mammoth looks like a, well, mammoth (appropriate) but with fetal alcohol syndrome and a bad limp. The Nod Cyborg just looks like really fat guy whose limbs were replaced with children's arms. The Cyborg Reaper is spider terminator that walks funny. They're all so goofy! I understand the game is really good; I just can't get over that hangup lol.
Was a wonderfull skirmish. You did it well, and with no need of superweapons. Probably you already know this, but if you have several groups of artillery units and you want to be care having them repaired if you select an mobile repair vehicle, and next point on the area where you have the units you wish to be repaired and press Ctrl+Alt, that means that the repair unit will be "on guard" and attentive to repair any damaged friend unit on its vision radius. This way you don't need to be selecting precisely every unit to be repaired.
@@Rooistar And if you want the repair unit to go with your entire artillery group, Ctrl Alt on an artillery vehicle. Be warned that you may need to do that again if you deploy the artillery or undeploy.
Spent a crazy amount of hours of my life playing skirmishes on this game as a 13 year old. Still own the copy. Would love a remaster that still essentially felt the same but maybe looked a bit better (but not too different… don’t ruin it!)
I just played a skirmish map called "Contagium" and near the end of the game, a Civilian Cyborg Commando spawned at every faction's starting point. It may have been because I captured a civilian Radar building around the same time. It was a weird surprise, someone let me know if they encountered the same thing on that map. It's available if you dig around for map packs for TS.
Fuck, this game has the most ferocious slime ever created in gaming histroy... Just take a look at that brown bad boy creeping below the northeast cliff of his base.
@zoom3000, I still hope to see you beat 7 AIs at the 10th tech level (max possible level in the skirmishes), at those large maps (e.g. "Forest Fires", "Drawbridges" and "River Raid").
RIP Westwood Studios. While C&C 3 was fine on its own, it would've been better if Westwood had fully developed it. Who knows, Westwood could've made a badass Warhammer 40K game if they wanted to.
@@kamikaze4172 My tactic was against the AI was a good bunch of soldiers (50-ish rocket troopers), 10-20 artilleries and a whole bunch of tick tanks. Took time to collect that much cash, but when it did, oh boy was the amount of destruction beautiful.

afaik artillery outrange juggernauts by one tile. Just one. I remember some of them when i played were forced to retreat. Memory is fuzzy tho, so not sure if completely accurate.
So thats how GDI in Tiberium Wars got to have the long ranged Juggernauts..it started here..the idiots realised GDI donest have anything of that range..like the NOD artilery :)))
Does it normally only play one song? It reminds me of Terminator. It's a good song, but it might get old. The resolution (?) makes the units/buildings really small. I'm not a big fan of that. I've never seen anyone really play this aggressively with power plants and refineries. It's definitely a good strategy, if not somewhat messy. I usually just keep things together, but spreading out makes sense. I didn't get to play this game much, but it looks pretty good. I think I prefer the graphics and style of C&C1 though.
I never got to play Firestorm ..played Tiberian SUn for like 2 years and stoped..i have to check it to see the new units. I dont understand why you dont make any Tick tanks.. they are great at holding the enemy and make some nice dmg vs Titans.. actually i think tick wins vs titan .
I hate tech 10 lol. When I brave myself up to do it unless I am playing NoD (big if) I kill or don't play on vienhole maps. Facing the multi missile is bad enough

My best weapon for NOD is engineer sneaking directly to base, capturing then selling it off and for GDI those crazy bombers.

Was expecting more diverse defense than massed artillery tbh.

How do you choose how many forces or tell a force to do how many things or choose how many places to go?
