If the Tiberian Dawn/Red Alert remaster sells well (which im sure it does/is), that'll send the message to the devs and EA that those of us that grew up on these C&C games want them remastered. I'm over 30 and ill gladly throw money at good remasters. I'm certain i'm not alone in that either lol.
So much nostalgia, the Ui, the graphic and the ambient/music..i was 12 years old when its my first time playing this, now i'm 35, the video still bring the same feel as i had them back then, thank you for this
It's amazing how streamline C&C was as a RTS for its time I mean, the unit training interface is still MUCH easier to manage than in games like Age of Empires and Starcraft 2. So is the resource gathering and building management overall. Hell, even the pathfinding works better in some areas than those much more modern games.
@@robertonome2448 yes, compared to SC2/WC3. But AoE 2 is still >> CnC. Just with pikes vs. horses. There’s nothing like that in CnC. Or only two resources, etc

FYI: if you set one of the waypoints on a helipad, the bombers will automatically re-arm and take off to kill. Also, if you make a 4th waypoint on a repair bay, they'll re-arm, then heal, then go attack and automatically repeat. :)
@@zoom3000 True. Its been a while but from what i remember, if you set the waypoint on the helipad, you dont have to manually put them back on the waypoint. The second they rearm they launch and attack. Ultimately its whatever works for you. I hope any of that helps. My friends and i used to go hard at this game.
@@edwardcullen3251 Sadly I think some of the old tricks in this game from years ago have been patched on the new versions of this. Like the set the waypoint into the unscouted area for a helipad, then build a plane and once it appeared it would take off and fly directly into unscouted areas. This paves the way for the good ole carry-all disrupter drop. Another trick you can do thats not patched however, is land the disruptor next to the command center and force fire through the entire building and it will one shot a command center. :)

I've been watching a lot of your Tiberian sun videos recently, I think they're great Just wondered why you don't use pavement to protect against subterranean APCs and devils tongue though?
God the fucking memories, my go to to stop the subterranean units was to pave my entire base. I clocked way too many hours into this game and I have no regrets.

The highest skill is the capture of an alternative branch (NOD). Quick victory - the destruction of the base and the plant with a massive blow. Next, turn off the electricity.
So there is only one way to your base and that's is a choke point and you never ran out of Tiberium as it is regenerates so fast and the elephant in the room is that enemy doesn't use that homing missile thingy that one shots one random building which pretty much makes 1VX impossible, i remember that being so frustrating and never knew you can limit tech level since i was a kid and didn't know English fun times, and it is interesting to see enemy comes in general direction of MCV and ignores if you have buildings in other areas
How did you get Tiberian Sun to be fullscreen in a screen recorder like OBS Studios? I used a patch to get Tiberian Sun running properly on Windows 10 from the Origin "Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection" and also support better resolutions but when I record my game in Tiberian Sun it doesn't cover the whole screen in the video I saved. It only covers the whole screen when I load and play the game.
That was very nostalgic. Unfortunately it proves how bad that AI was. None of them tried to build a truly large base or army. I remember playing Tiberium Wars and how the enemy suddenly learned to build bases spanning half the map with multiple redundancies and preparing major armies of the same unit to rush me.
Obviously a custom setup, what with how many harvesters can be utilized on a single field like that, but it's still fucking 7 of the hard AI in that game. Impressive. :D
this game is pretty different from first and third game. resource conservation because how fast ore drained is in both, but not in the second game. ore regenerate is pretty fast as long you not use too much worker. palying the entire campaign i only use 3 worker and by the time i move to second patch ore field, it do not take long for the first patch to regrow back. my formula of beating entire campaign game : -use only 3 harvester -use 1-2 vehicle factory and non stop mass build the basic unit. even with basic unit you can win the game (titan for gdi and tick tank for nod) to deal armored damage . accompany them with your infanrty to deal anti infantry damage. build abut 5 anti air unit to back up if air unit in case approaching -i didnot use floor paving -defense with all 3 kind turrent (personel, armored, air) and about 6 titan/tick tank and 6 infantry at main entrance base. also spread about 3 titan/tick tank and 6 infantry around each the corner of base incase subterranean attack come (spread in 11 clock, 2 clock, 5 clock, and 8 clock-4 direction). resource is pretty fast and plenty even with nonstop production as long you made from only 1 vehicle factory and later at most 2 factory, unlike the first and third game where resource drained real fast. also no cap population limit unlike other rts game -micro engineers capture enemy vehicle factory/refianry/HQ, sell for money, easy more money play this way for all campaign base building mission and never got problem. same formula every mission. you can add artilery in your offensive force if you want but even without it, your mass titan/tick tank will obluterate everyhing and keep replace the lose unit with new one. just micro your unit to priority target enemy artilery
what could cause a nod and gdi commander to unite against another gdi commander you might ask? Well that gdi commander theyre ganging up on confirmed he was a big alinity fan in the 2020s..... xD
Hi zoom3000, this is dizzowner from tiberian sun online, we occaisionaly play couplet of maps together (usually giants). Could you tell me how to get this map. I would like to try the same 7vs1.
I usually would just get 4-16 orcas, put them on waypoint mode around my entire base and just sit back and relax. Orca's are the ultimate counter to NOD's artillery, if you are playing classic tiberian sun.
@@zoom3000 They truly are the best. And put their waypoint above a repair dock (Can't remember the actual name, I know it's a 3 by 3 square building) and they also automatically heal if they get hurt by any rocket troopers.
On 7 v 1, with GDI enemy, you would have a barrage of ion blasts...literally once a minute until you took out your first opponent, not to mention the 7 seekers, 7 mammoths/7 commandos and whatever. Forget about it.
you know theres a hotkey to automatically bring up the building you have done so you can place it down without clicking it's picture again theres also a hotkey to build what you just built so you never have to click the sidebar
Nope thats not the reason, the reason is that gdi gets ion cannon and seeking bomb and nod gets that missle that bursts into little bombs, with that technology enemies would easily destroy him
@@zoom3000 No, I meant the concrete slabs you lay down in your base. They're cheap and quick to build and they block subterranean units. Also increase movement speed. Lastly they prevent terrain deformation. I always liked paving my bases. Not essential, but it gives a bit of a quality of life improvement IMO
@@Jarsia I do too. It does take a lot of time and money, plus the subterranean unit just come up somewhere nearby or some grid you can't pave. I think that it is best if you have a lot of time to build and aren't under such a constant attack, plus have a place you want them to come up.
I was wondering, I noticed most of the seasoned players dont even bother building a service depot which can let you repair severely damaged units for half the cost it takes to make a new one. I wonder why nobody takes consideration of that, is it too much macro management issue to handle?
@@zoom3000 Well I wasn't referring to this match in particular but I notice in most matches both PvE and PvP, I guess for that reason the devs made repairs free in C&C3 TW and RA3.
@@zoom3000 I know I'm bad, but I found skirmish to be unplayable with superweapons, especially because of the hunters. What's the point of a cloaked NOD base if a hunter can just destroy your construction yard regardless. smh

When I was 11, I didn't even know waypoints were a thing. That must save so much time on micro.
I didnt knew as well, untill i tried like 6-7 years ago and it really works great. This bombers + waypoints can be a game changer

The repair thing is cool, but you dont have to put it on helipad, becouse they will go to rearm automaticly if a helipad is clear

No way to win 7 vs 1 with super weapons in Tiberian Sun on hard level. You will lose a main building in every 20 seconds in average.

in Tiberian Sun ? it is Impossible, and if some1 tells you he can, he is a lier. *ofc if you talk about ww maps, you can do it in mod maps only.

The way the AI works is to always lock on one target. He probably would have targeted my MCV in the southern base
You know you can hotkey place buildings and re-cue buildings right? Saves a lot of time instead of clicking on the command bar for every structure.
