Keep an eye on your statistics when working with MDL materials you’ve not written yourself. Some of the Nvidia materials can be huge, containing up to 16 textures and complex to render, dropping your frame rate you would not have expected. Powerful but not as fast as VRED materials in some circumstances.
just switched to 2024, refreshing to use, although, still trying to figure out how do we make it work with quest 3 passthrough ? tried as written in the openxr documentation but still unable to get the passthrough.. works with varjo xr3 though, any help on enabling pass through on quest 3 would be amazing. great work. thanks Reply
Have a question,, I've downloaded 3D environments from Vred Library, Should I assign hundreds of materials one by one? or is there any way to assign them at once?
If you drag a material from your material library window onto an object in the scene... but drag it using the middle mouse button, it'll apply the material to all objects. So if you have 1000 bolts that are currently chrome, and you middle wheel drag and drop brass onto just one bolt, then all 1000 will be assigned to brass
Awesome
Nice Guys!
Cool! Do you have an Omniverse connector?
Must try MDL

Great update, but it looks that the Python API didn't make it in this release?
Why do you say so? Python API is available in Pro.
