I slowly worked this out before watching the video, but it's good to hear the reinforcement of this concept. I definitely agree with using the car compass, I finally have a use for that function in my car, and I'm glad to have it. I also realise that it's a good idea to orientate yourself to the direction of the north once you arrive at your delivery area. Having a sense of direction and being aware of the compass on the map is going to make things run a lot more smoothly. If you do drive the wrong direction, it's not a huge problem because you'll get back on track soon enough.
I call her Lola from the movie RV. I always find those GPS systems menacing, not to mention they should be able to put in a speed limit sign like they do on Google maps. Helps to prevent low Fico scores.
Gotta luv Unmarked driveways in the pitch black dark at night on deserted country rural roads! also i think the sequence of the map navigation is off sometimes.. like Stop #9 shoulda been my first stop instead of #1
The way you explain it makes sense, with the logic of the shortest route between stops, but it's frustrating to hear that I need to turn my van around again and again because: a) Sometimes it's impossible b) Most of these vans have a terrible turning radius, meaning that although I get my upper-arm exercise for the day, I also run the risk of an accident, or at best, holding up traffic.
ye but what stop 35 46 87 and 4 are on the same street or the same area? Those situations make following the gps route in order useless.. tell us about that
Hey….I’m a new driver…on my fifth day my device did not talk to me so I constantly looked at gps to get to stops. How do I turn on voice command if this happens again?
After you “Start Travel” to a stop you can touch the map and the sub-menu will pop up. There you can turn the audio cues on or off. If the driver who used that work phone previously had turned it off it will remain off until turned on. Hope this helps.
@@PeakDeliveryDriver Thank you. I work Sunday thru Wednesday. I will check that tomorrow. I really appreciate the videos you have done. Really helps out.
There is NO LOGIC to how the app determines the routing! I literally passed over 80 STOPS to get to my 1st stop! Think of it this way, if you're driving a bus to pick up 150 "friends" so you call can go party the night away, would you pick up your friends in the same manner Flex wants you to make each stop? If you said 'yes', I can assure you you're smoking some really good sh** and you should share! LOL! EITHER start w/the closest stop and work your way out...or vice versa...start from your farthest stop and work your way back to the hub! Makes no sense to start in the middle!!
Gotta love it when the gps turns into a top and doesn't know which way you're facing
"Waiting on a Woman"
I know huh
Maaan I be pissed everyday lmao😂
I understand the logic, but nothing beats driver route knowledge. Hi from the UK.
If only we were assigned the same routes more consistently. Completely changing our area again this week!

Shortest doesn't always mean fastest, smoothest, or safest GENIUS.

The Flex App is seriously flawed!
Sometimes a little distance outweighs the hassle of turning around.

Then how do we get stops across the street from each other but 60 stops apart
Than why does amazon gps tells me to make a illegal u turn on a main busy road
I just get how to do the apt quickly and gps sucked for my first day

So, listen for her to give the direction and make sure my compass is point in that direction?
Hi 👋 how do you put the compass on the radio?
Silly question might be but I am new at driving - do all cars have a compass ? If not than where can I get it etc
Where can you get a compass...? HEAD NORTH EAST .. 🙃😂

If there was in a different place far away from my area what I suppose to do in this situation?
I'd ask how long it takes between the customer and the other mostly?

Does your DSP work with Amazon Central ops?
No, we use our own dispatchers. Helps to know who your drivers are.
Hell yes
No we know how you look
