I need some help…. I’ve been with flex for about a year and a half….. in the past four weeks they have blocked me and other drivers seeing evening offers at my local depot. Send countless of emails with robot reply’s. Is there anyway I can round this?
Had the same problem at our of our depots - I emailed as well. I don’t think they are being blocked - more like the weeks blocks are being uploaded incorrectly - it’s always a complete week Sunday - Saturday and always after 13:00 or 14:00 that I can’t see the blocks. Other drivers can see them and I’m no-where near the 24h cap (and can see the lunchtime blocks ok) It’s only the 1 depot, as I can see all other depots for the evenings. I even tried having someone sub a block to me, but it said I wasn’t eligible, as if I had reached the cap… It’s very frustrating!
I had not realised that I could send an email from the app regarding difficulties during a block. I had been putting all of this information into the 'feedback' part at the end of the app not realising that this is in fact anonymous. I had thought that I was providing them with the reasons, for instance, of a late delivery but I have recently discovered that this is not the case. I could not understand why I was receiving emails from amazon telling me that I had made a delivery later than scheduled when I thought I had given them the reason. Thank you for explainging.
So requesting an adjustment is a request for payment for going over your block time to complete your delivery itinerary due to issues outside of your control.
If I decide to use Apple Maps on the app do I have to enter every destination manually or will my routes automatically update with Apple Maps? Thanks I prefer to use Apple Maps as google maps does not seem as precise to me.
When you see the ‘start travel’ orange button, there is a square logo with an arrow pointing out of it in the right hand side. Press that and it will give you the option to send the destination to Waze, Apple Maps or google maps. I use Waze as it seems to be constantly updated with traffic and they routing is pretty good. Press the icon and it sends the destination directly into your chosen app, without having to enter anything manually. I have the amazon app voice muted and the Waze voice turned on. I switch back to the amazon app and press start travel - so that Amazon and the customer know where you are and then sometimes switch back to the Waze screen. I use the amazon app map when I get about 2 mins from the destination, as it is better at actually finding the doorsteps. Just remember that if the address is wrong in the amazon app (like for a new build) then it will still be wrong in the other apps as it just sends long and lat to the second app, so always check your maps for any way off pins.
Hi Mate, love the channel loads of great information. I have recently started delivering with Amazon flex but find that I end up with routes that are a good bit out of the city to country farms etc which is clocking up the miles in the van, also very bad roads (dirt tracks to farms)on completion I amt 20 to 30 miles from home which all ads up to overall time, is there any way of picking up more localised routes around housing estates etc, I have had a couple but don't know how to pick these out, cheers for any advice
Unfortunately it’s pretty random. You may find that your depot does certain routes at certain times and if you go at the same time you will get a similar route. Flex tends to be the left overs from the vans and then same day deliveries, so they tend to be more spread out. Remember to keep a record of your milage so you can claim back the milage allowance to reduce your taxable income when it comes to doing your self assessment Morrisons / co-op tend to be closer to the store (30min drive radius)
Question... Ok so when I am out at my other job and I'm near an Amazon warehouse....I see a lot of blocks open & available for it. Then as I drive further away from it all of those offers disappear I will see other offers from other warehouses im not as close to....kind of confusing but does this app pull up offers based off of location...if so that is not helpful
Hi. My problem with navigation in the Flex app is that the little arrow cursor on the screen doesn't move as I, and the map moves. So it ends up being way off the screen and I can't see where I am at all. On this vid, you have a little car icon that stays in position while the map moves so that you can see where you are. Is there a setting somewhere where I can fix this so that it acts as it does in your video here? 🤔 Thanks in advance if you know the answer.
I use Waze for my main navigation - when you see the start travel button, press the icon to the right (looks like a square with an arrow pointing out) and then you can send the destination to Waze. I find Waze is more accurate while you travel and also more up to date with traffic and road closures etc. I switch back to the amazon app when I am 2mins from the address - as the amazon app is much better at finding the doorstep
@@marvinsflextips Yeah now I've watched your video a bit more it seems that the arrow does move all over the place when in Amazon. 😂 I find that so annoying. I'll get Waze and try it. 👍 So when you get closer and you switch back to Amazon for Final Destination (hopefully not like in the film! 😨😂), Do you at that point hit the Start Travel button in Flex and it will then just start from your current location and also possibly send your location to the customer? 🤔
Hello, you can’t change the region in the app, you have to email support with the new region (or the depots) you are after - if they are after drivers in that region it normally gets switched quite quickly
I had this issue pop up on the app, and i could not go through the stop and the address to finish the delivery so please check out for the issue and help me to solve the problem.thank you
If you can’t physically get to a stop then you should ring support and they will tell you what to do (they may have more information or directions to help)
I had a glitch where the ‘I’ve parked’ button didn’t appear, had to go back and start travel again (even though I was there) then it popped up. If you are doing Morrisons / co-op you can ring support and get them to check you in, if you are doing logistics, you can ask for a supervisor to check you in
I noticed the first day my cell phone would actually "beep" as I scanned the packages but somehow now it's not. What am I doing wrong? 🙈 I have an Android
I just want to say thank you for the video I definitely learned a lot today. Unfortunately I’m having difficulty sending them and email from my application in regards to my payment adjustment. I would like to use the template but when I go to report it, nothing happens. Can you provide anymore advice? Thank you and I will definitely subscribe to your channel. Your awesome.
Double check your email app settings in your phone - that’s what the Amazon app uses (mail for iPhone for instance) and double check the email address it is sending from, as if you account email ends gmail.com and the mail app is sending from googlemail.com Amazon sees them as 2 different email addeesses
Hi, to change your region you have to email amazonflex-support@amazon.co.uk With the depot or region you want to switch to. It usually takes about 3 days to switch - and it also depends if they are after drivers in the region you want to switch to…
Hi there, thank you so much for your amazing videos. i have just started amazon flex and on my first shift i entered the congestion charge zone. how would i avoid to even get assigned congestion charge zone deliveries? thank you!
There used to be a setting on the app saying that you don’t want to go into a charge zone, but I can’t find it now. Maybe best to ask the Marshalls - although I’m not sure if they will know what’s in and out of the zones
Thanks for the post. The gps really did me in today, particularly for apartment complexes that are very close by each other with some of the same apartment numbers. I'll inquire of a time adjustment since I went over about 45 minutes. Just giving it a shot, not really expecting anything but will try.
Yes I’ve had a couple of times where the gps doesn’t know exactly where I am and it thinks I’m along the road from where I am. If you are at the delivery address and the app thinks you are somewhere else, you can switch into airplane mode to make the delivery, then switch back to swipe to finish
In the UK The amazon insurance (through Zurich) covers you and your car and damage done while you have amazon parcels in your car. There is a £500 excess. Several drivers in our what’s app group have made claims for damage and had their car repaired.
@@bogdaz4078 are your details correct now? They usually pay out each Wednesday for the Wednesday - Tuesday before. Always worth sending an e-mail, even if you don't get an adjustment from it. It's always good to tell Amazon about any problems you encountered.
I haven’t worked out how long before your block it lets you access the map
You can press start travel 1h before the block start time
How about louder notifications on the iPhone I miss a lot of blocks because I don’t hear the notification
So requesting an adjustment is a request for payment for going over your block time to complete your delivery itinerary due to issues outside of your control.
Exactly
This app is total trash. Am I the only one experiencing this? Menu options come and go, personal settings can't be changed, what the] heck Amazon

As far as I know, the app doesn’t care about your current location - the offers were probably just accepted by someone else

Go to Settings > Personal Information > Vehicle information
and update the year, make and model of your car in there.
My app not showing vehicle information under personal information tab.
Any idea why the offline maps just hang at 99% on the download? I've allowed all permissions and it never finishes.
I’ve not had any problems downloading them - I’m on iOS - have you tried over wifi and mobile data?
Can u change your area code?
If you email support you can request a change of region - you may have to go on the waiting list if they aren’t currently looking for drivers.
