Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Also, i habe submitted a drone aswell, which uses more logic than i ever thought i wanted to fit in there. Maybe you should check it out once
It uses Thrusvectoring and no other gimbal or other source of acceleration or upwards thrust

Omg thanks for opening the show with my Hoverboard! Glad you had some fun with my Barrel Upgrader 5000 too! Btw, I'm not sure why the arm got stuck so much, it usually doesn't get stuck but it's probably not 100% reliable..! Just so you know, the cannon is there so that you can explode barrels that survive the throw from a distance like at 21:00 without using your face!

Day 3 of asking, Dear Scrapman, I have an idea.
The challenge would be to go as fast as possible in either kp/h or time from corner to corner of the grid map with a set power core limit like maybe 50 or 100. I think this would be an interesting challenge due to the need to balance aero, acceleration and the power limit.
We need this scrapman

Hey Scrapman. you should try to break the sound barrier using as few dynamite blocks as possible by having them explode you while in an armoured seat.

@13:19, water and air are both fluids. You have some kind of solid flat surface which displaces fluids to provide propulsion. Of course these are the same...ish lol

I've never managed to catch a video so soon after it's released.
I can't be the only one who got some weird Dr. Seuss vibes from that last creation, right? And right after I comment this, Scrapman goes ahead and says it....So I'm not the only one getting that from it. There just needs to be like a parade of them going up a spiraling mountain in an acid tripping pallet of color and you've got a new book.

As the creator of the blimp- it was inspired by the rower because I was thinking “hmm, that works via moving without using power cores- I wonder if I could do the same thing in air.”

A bomber vs tanks (or anti-air) could be cool. The bomber would likely have to be fairly slow and not roll or pitch too quickly, so that the tanks stand a chance of hitting it.
Now for the real challenge-

What if you did a submarine plane hybrid evolution challenge where you start with a small contraption that if you go to high into the air your creation blows up as well as only being able to use guns while in the air and each round the waves get progressively worse. Could be so silly🎉
Max complexity battles please, like boats or hovercraft, maybe even tanks, it would be awesome
I’d love to see some battles with shields, but the shields are balanced so you can’t use them while shooting, and they turn off on purpose and are only on 70% of the time
Oh idea versus video in which it's barrel warfare. Players take position in two places and the goal is to take out your oponents out by picking up explosive barrels and launching them

10:30 I once tried to build a ship from Elite Dangerous in Trailmakers. Once.
I started by building a single layer outline that I planned to build up and down from to get the shape right. Unfortunately by the time I did the one layer outline I was at ~80% complexity. I would have grabbed the complexity mod but I was trying to do it on Xbox
SUGGESTION:
The tron bike, with the spawning that wall feature! What about a game where you have to knock your buds out with placing that wall. Free for all

Mech fight 150 blocks walking is the only propulsion. So no power cores except gyros

You connect a controller to yout PC and bind controlls to the left toggle. When you switch back to keyboard, it defaults to mouse controll
