- This is volume 2 of my hit series Cartoon Downgrades, Where I talk about the quality cartoons we grew up loving and the less than quality reboots/sequels that came after.
shows such as teen titans and teen titans go, Ben 10 series and the ben10 reboot and so on.

I feel you, but on the Looney Toons Show gave Lola the BEST personality. she went from walking furry bait to an ACTUAL character.
I'm gonna actually have to disagree with you on Lola. Granted, original Lola didn't have much at all to work with, but the fact that Bugs, who was used to just effortlessly getting what he wanted, having to actually put in some effort to get her attention. Turning her Bugs-obsessed was a major turn off for me, as did the "stalker tendencies for humor" angle. If it's wrong for Pepe to push the envelope, I don't see how Lola got away with it. She's not the worst of the troupe, far from it, but its still a downgrade.
@@SleepTastesGood a fair point, but the Sapce Jam Bugs was the one who got everything effortlessly, LTS bugs was a more subdued version. Many episodes were based off his struggles. So with his new character ACTUALLY have to struggle it only makes sense Lola had to change to fix the new dynamic. Her Crazyness actually gets toned down later which is ACTUAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Lol. I get what ur saying, but Bugs would eventually come to like her for her, not Cause she's a secy rabbit who plays hard to get.

I actually honestly loved The Looney Toons Show sitcom
It was very interesting
Looney tunes show is actually great
I loved it lowkey my favorite ep was when daffy went to the army and buggs was in jail and daffy with the army broke him and some other guys out of the foreign prison
I've heard it as (successfully) splicing Seinfeld with the loons. I did rather enjoy a good number of episodes.

It’s funny for what it is but I hated it for what it did to many of the characters. Some of the very few characters untouched was Daffy himself. Bugs, Lola, Elmer, yosemite sam, all of them are just not the same characters. If you want to make a sitcom that’s fine, if you want to make Looney Tunes then that’s fine, but if you’re making a Looney Tunes sitcom it needs to be a Looney Tunes sitcom.
Unpopular opinion: The Looney Tunes show was really funny.

@@unknownvanguard8749 Wabbit was a spinoff based on Bugs Bunny though Pork & Daffy also appeared from time to time. They eventually added all the other characters and made New Looney Tunes.
Both were horribly unfunny

Sonic boom never was ment to be a modern version of the old sonic shows, it was meant to be funny and weird which i find it did quite well.

Sry but I personally never liked it. It had its moments, but I just could never get into it. Watched a few episodes and was done with the show. I'd rather watch Sonic Underground if I'm being real.

You wanna talk about how Tom and Jerry god downgraded? My sister's sign language teacher told her that his deaf brother's favorite TV show was Tom and Jerry was his favorite show specifically because he could perfectly understand exactly what was going on with 0 dialog. Then they went and and made it dialog heavy with characters who didn't even have an upper half.

@@rootfish2671 They would basically hide the faces of the current owner of Tom in an episode. Though, I don't know why this was a complaint since they did that on occasion in the original cartoon as well 😅

They went from Bob the builder to Andrew the Architect, Connor the Construction Worker, and Larry the Layout Designer
I never watched Bob thr Builder but you calling the reboot *Carl the Carpenter* had me dying on my bed💀
The Spider-Man one is facts but That..new spider man show: spidey and his amazing friends was the new downgrade and it actually made me cry literal tears
My nephew turned that on D+ and I was disgusted

I loved Ultimate Spider-Man. I didn’t even know people didn’t like it cause of how much I loved it. Also loved the other characters in the team and their backstories.
I can see why you like it, however I think the reason people don’t like it is how unnatural the characters are
The reason people hate it is because they feel like it replaced spectacular spider-man honestly I liked the show but there is an episode I haven't seen yet that I really want to see because the context makes zero sense it's the Jessie and ultimate spider-man crossover episode

I mean the show introduced me to agent venom and that’s why I loved it
The only weird thing was that Jessie crossover, like, it’s cool and all but giving the kids cool transformations to their costumes just to have them sit in the background for most of the episode was wack.
I loved Marvels: Assemble and pretty much any animated Marvel Disney show growing up.
Ultimately Spiderman as well I genuinely loved that show when I was younger.

i loved Sonic X. when i was a kid and stuck at my mom's shops, i had discs for my dvd player. i watched a bit of Sonic Underground. sucks that it got cancelled before they could find their mom
Yeah, honestly tho, if all the songs slapped as hard as the theme song I bet they wouldn't have canceled sonic underground. Seriously every episode they pull out instruments that are made to play rock songs like the intro, and what comes out is essentially dollar tree beetles music
I watched the sub version of Sonic x because the death isn't cut out but I will say the dub theme slaps

I never saw Loonatics Unleashed, but I will stand by Looney Tunes Show. That was gold. Baby Looney Tunes can vanish from the face of the earth, though.

They’d been building up and hinting at their relationship for years prior- idk how anybody was surprised
I would probably agree with you, but considering I don't watch this show and I also ship what's essentially the same thing in a different show (that I also don't watch), I'm just gonna focus on the silver lining no matter whether the writers had consistent characters in mind or just wanted to piss off the general audience
I hated sonic boom when it came out and I agree with everything you said about it. But when I watched it, it was actually entertaining.
It was meant to be a joke show with no real plot andit was very funny when I was younger
Ultimate Spider-man is what got me into Spider-man as a whole
Rise of the TMNT and the Looney Tunes show are great honestly. The fact that they change things up is what makes things great. I mean, if you want things to feel like the old days, maybe just watch the old shows and let people enjoy the newer ones?

I would definitely watch a show about forgotten cartoons, like Hero 108, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go, shit like that

Lunatics Unleashed was actually a big time fav show for me and my little brother growing up, not as bad as one would think considering they pretty good lessons to learn in each episode
People hated it because it was so different than the original characters.

Also, there is a legit Thomas the Tank Engine adult fan base. I think it's mostly train enthusiasts (since apparently the writers knew a lot about trains and put in the show) and apparently this show has got lore to it... I'm not in the fandom personally because I'm just not that into train, but I know people who are.

Most of those people grew up and still really like the original stuff because it was written well, was fun for the whole family, and seeing the real life toy trains roll around was great. But the CGI and progressively more childish (not kid-friendly) writing began to push people away from the newer content.

Avengers Assemble Season 5 HAS to be its own thing, not just because of the animation change, but because of the continuity. Seasons 1-4 clearly were connected to Ultimate Spider-Man, but then Season 5 has the 2017 Spider-Man appear, like it's not a big deal.

Season five takes place in a different universe with 2017 Spider-Man and the third season of Guardians of the Galaxy.
As someone who watched Thomas growing up I literally died from laughter looking at the plane version of it. That’s a demon that slipped out of hell to come torture us.

I love, in Duck Dodgers, he had the Martian queen simping for him so hard that she didn't give an order to attack him when their ship was facing his, and he said "I caught you lacking and I'm gonna catch a body. Duck Dodgers doesn't run from the smoke, he *is* the smoke.", and he proceeded to open up on their ship while she just sat there starstruck at him.
For as seemingly doomed as Lunatics was a as a premise, it was fun action comedy that I enjoyed.

Spectacular Spider-Man was fire and I loved the fourth wall breaks in the show
The Looney Toon Show I feel was made for the people who grew up watching them, cause the humor in there goes hard I love it, I feel like it was a good transition to have from slapstick to more comedy focused

I’m gonna play Devils Advocate real quick and say Loonatics wasn’t a bad show. I only watched a couple of episodes but I think it’s alright. And my friend watched the whole thing and he said that it’s actually an amazing show. It’s just people judged it super harshly because everyone thought it was just edgy looney toons but it wasn’t.
If the show hadn't have debuted as KidsWB wasn't on its last legs, it might've performed better

I’m one of those kids who loved the original Thomas the Tank Engine (when the animation was was just customized model trains). Seeing the faces move is just plain disturbing.
Same here. OG Thomas the Tank Engine was what I grew up watching as a kid, so I definitely prefer it over the newer episodes

I grew up sonic underground so it's my favorite sonic show and I'm watching sonic x right now so I must say Mirage is indeed a badie

I disagree with two things 1) I believe Adventure Time is an upgrade since the characters go through arcs and the message in the end was beautiful 10/10 in my opinion. Distant Lands is very good with 4 episodes that show different stories of our beloved characters and their adventures a must watch for Adventure Time fans. (Watch Together Again after Wizard City). And another is the Looney Tunes Show, it was awesome and I love the references you can watch when you are older, even as a kid I love the show and it is one of my favorites Looney Tunes.

I disagree with you cause bubble gum is toxic 😒 and the creators should of not put that kiss in that show cause of most of the audience is 50 50 on the gay stuff and mostly kids who don't need to be exposed to that type of I'll say teens and adult stuff should of just put it on adult swim so they can do that type of shit even tho I'm sure kids watch that too would of been good in an anime setting but that part made me mad cause how the world was

@@joeredfearn2585 I disagree to that because Princess Bubblegum isn’t toxic or in other words. She isn’t toxic anymore. Also I don’t see any problem with showing kids some gay characters kissing. Since really there is nothing wrong with it. Because if that is a problem then characters kissing shouldn’t be allowed for any one. I also don’t see why they should put it on adult swim. Like really you need more reasons why you think they should be on adult swim.
It feels like you don’t like how the world is changing.
Either way I still think the show isn’t a downgrade.

There a lot of fans of Thomas that aren’t just kids. Hell I’m 14 and I adore Thomas just as much as I did when I was like 5. I never watched Jay Jay the Jet Plane, and I’m very glad I didn’t.

The agreement stops at looney tunes show. That show is underrated gold. Loved that show.
And they made Lola a very fun character. The comedy is not that much different. It’s not like looney tunes heavily focuses on slapstick. It is also the banter between characters. Which the looney tunes show focuses on and delves deeper into. For example, watch the show and focus on bug’s perspective. He generally surrounds himself with chaotic people to keep his life interesting. Lola, Daffy, porky, and freaking Taz all are chaotic aspects of bugs life.
The show is genuinely funny and puts all the characters in a residential location, which is unusual, but cool to see how they all interact in everyday life.

Fun fact: when I was younger, the channel was stuck on the kids channel and I was too lazy to change it and then the new Bob the Builder came on and I was so digusted that I immediately shut off the TV.

I am SO GLAD That he talked About Thomas, as a fan of the show, it was hard to see the franchise fall so Fuckin low, but at least we still out here makin the most of it with what we're passionate about and what we were left with before the reboot and the big world big adventures rebrand after season 21

No way you’re trashing on The Looney Tunes Show! That show is a good iteration of the Looney Tunes. They actually change the old formula and put the characters in a place where one can actually relate to them. And Looney Tunes Show Lola was the best version of Lola! The creators of the show actually made her into a genuine wholesome lovable character than a sexualized furry fetish. This show had a lot of heart put into it with clever humor and writing and deserves to be checked out.
I liked the episode where Bugs loses his money and has to return to his hole in the ground. It looked both familiar and out of place when he was in there
IK you already talked about fairly odd parents but man, you completely missed out on the fact that there's a live action reboot of it now and there's no Timmy in it, instead there's 3 people who share cosmo and wanda or some bullshit, idk if it's out yet or it's still just a trailer but my god it looks terrible.

Adventure Time was great and I actually enjoy the later seasons more than the earlier ones. I really wish we would have got a bigger Simon break down. I also think that Finn making the same mistake over and over makes it so much more rewarding when he finally matured and becomes better, but that’s just my opinion
