The dinosaur cage was erected a while back because criminals used large saws to cut out and steal the biggest prints for sale. The remaining prints you see now are saved because of the large cage surrounding them. I lived near the prints many years before the thefts and cage and it was great to walk among the dinosaurs, so to speak.
They cut out the native petroglyphs here in CA 😢

Hi Cody and Kellie, I am a former Arkansan now transplanted to Maine! I was recently in LR and visited Guillermo's, which is very near my daughters home. One of our faves too, although I buy the Velvet Hammer! I also visited the Origami Sake brewery in HS which I learned about thanks to YOU!! Thanks for showing so much of Arkansas! Sunny So CA is pretty and warm all winter. You can escape the crowds. Mid 40's for lows and high 60's-70's in the days right now. 🌞

I really enjoy your channel. Just a thought, I am a retired firefighter/EMT and you never want to put your feet up on the dash while driving. If the airbags were to go off the injury to your legs and pelvis would be substantial from the airbag deployment. Thanks, Stay safe.
You all should drive to San Diego CA. It is nice here. It is cold about 65 today at noon, but not as cold as the rest of the US
When using your cast iron get it Smokin Hot you want to close the pores of the iron then turn it down add your oil or butter turn it back up to your temperature put your eggs on it don't flip it until it's almost done you will not have your eggs sticking to the pan if they are try that method again until it does not stick it's closing the pores of the iron
I really like your ease of packing up and moving out as compared to the tent days.

If you are Texas you should check out spider mountain in burnet. It has a ski lift for bikes. The runs are like ski runs. Blue diamond. Black diamond. Y’all would probably enjoy it

Come to California! Lots of mountain bike trails on Highway 9 Santa Cruz area, U Conn, Bear Mountain n many more. Smithwoods RV Resort, Cotillion Gardens RV Park or Mooch dock in my driveway. There are lots of Brewery’s n wineries here in Livermore!
I'm from Los Angeles and there's almost never a winter there lol.. LOTS of hiking/outdoor activities year round in SOCAL. Ever considered wintering there? Or Mexico! It's amazing in Mexico this time of year and winter is actually my favorite time to be there. There's a big nomad (RV/Van) community that frequent the Baja California area from what I hear. Maybe consider that as winter continues? But if you're wanting sunshine, check out SOCAL (not just LA but the outskirts also).. I guessed correctly. 😊 I said you were headed to Terlingua. That entire area is a great place to visit this time of year. We were there two years ago this month. I’m at home this winter taking care of my grandchildren this winter, but hubby is out and about. He just left Quartszite and headed back to Phoenix because he has doctor appointments. Enjoy the warmth! so glad you got out of East Texas before all this hits because it’s supposed to get really really bad there. I hope your family stays warm and safe back home.
Cody mentioning the cattle guard reminded me of when we were in Canada last summer and saw a road sign for a "Texas Gate"... lol, a cattle guard! We had a good laugh since we raise cattle. I love finding off the grid things, like your dinosaur tracks. Happy travels 😊.
Here in Dennard Ar we have been at 0 at night. With wind shields feeling like 13 below! I dislike the cold and I don't blame y'all for booking it out!

Great video you two. Love the longer video, its so enjoyable. guessing you won't be heading my way anytime soon....... I'm in Des Moines, Iowa and we just had 3 days of blizzard conditions and a week with about 20 inches of snow total. 45 mph wind gusts for days and drifts 3-4 ft tall. Now the artic air is here. Last night at bedtime the "feel like" temp was 45 below zero. No warm up in sight, so enjoy the good temps for all of us who are trapped in a polar vortex of misery............lol love you both

My wife and I are headed to Texas in about 8 days as an inaugural trip in our truck camper. We are concerned about the weather but I guess it will be warmer than here in Colorado. Great video.
I'm on the N.E. Plains in my arctic 5th wheel. No problems besides blowing through a 30lb propane every 24 hours

Holy Moly! Kellie, that fried eggplant sandwich looked fantastic! My wife went straight for your cookbook looking for it, but don't think it was there. Cody, ouch! that ring finger still looks like it hurts! I've seen horrible accidents due to rings during my career. I had a minor one in my younger days while moving furniture. Took my ring off and never wore it again. FYI....my wife and I just celebrated our 48th anniversary two days after Christmas. Really enjoy following you guys and your travels. Be safe, stay warm!

I escaped from LA, and I'm not afraid of Moscow winter. My daddy Odin with me, watching... 🥶
We arrived at San Angelo State Park the day before the 2021 shut down so we didn’t get to a chance to really explore the town. Last winter we returned and I recommend you revisit sometime. There are some great things to see there. We recommend the Angry Cactus; it has the best “high rent” smoke meatloaf my husband has ever had. Safe and happy travels!

There is a hidden jewel down in Florida you guys might like to check out. It is called Sebring, Florida. I used to visit it every January for an industry trade show at that airport there. Also, it is not expensive compared to many places in South Florida. Check into it.

You have the right idea getting out of the below-freezing temps. We finally got some 'real winter' winter weather, and it is making things difficult on the homestead in West Michigan.
Those javelinas looked bigger than I expected! I have not seen one in person yet, maybe on my next Southwest trip.

Jefferson yes! Lots of Bigfoot activity in the area. I had my encounter just south of there back in 1983. Something I wouldn't want to experience again. Within 20 feet of it and the guttural scream of it literally shook my body to the bone! I couldn't move I was so in shock! 😳

Love the adventures you take us on..truck campers are the best..from our experiences when we cook fish we always get rid of the skin before we cook them..all the nasty fishy taste is in the skin so by getting rid of it ,,the fish will actually taste very good..😊😊😊😊

Those long horns certainly have LONG horns. Impressive. Don’t blame you from getting away from the cold. Watching on news, some states have been hit hard with snow & blizzards. Here in Victoria Australia we are into our summer. I don’t mind the heat but the humidity, which we are not used to. I hate with vengeance. Some days it’s been 100%. Today is a good day temp 27.7 but feels like 28.7. When you get high temps & humidity throw in thunder lightning storms. It’s like old father is throwing a massive hissy fit. I figured it was Big Bend area since Cody was doing a little foreshadowing with his Big Bend T-Shirt on at breakfast. (15:11) LOL. Heading to the State Park side of things in a couple weeks myself. You guys should check into that as well. A little bit different experience. Enjoy the warmer weather. it is 14°F here in Dallas already on this Sunday morning.
I wondered if you were headed to Big Bend. I remembered your videos from there last year. We visited last February and I was hoping to see some javelinas but didn't see any on my trip. I enjoyed the taqueria restaurant that you ate at. It was pretty good! Wish I was there! I'm with you on the cold weather. Currently 0 degrees in Northwest Arkansas with a low of -4 actual temperature tonight. We have several inches of snow. People who aren't from Arkansas often don't realize how cold it can get here. The good news is that it usually only lasts a few days before it warms up again. We are supposed to be 40 on Thursday!

It's about 15-17 degrees in Dallas. I don't like the cold either considering I'm a southern and I was born in the summer.
Its minus one degree F here near Jasper AR. Generator is ready to go if the power goes out. PIenty of food, fuel and firewood. Bring on the snow!
Lived in Tyler for 4 years. I've experienced much colder temps further north but have seen a high of 16° once in Tyler. When you're used to warmer temps there that really jolts you! Unless you have a necessity to be further east I'd head for southern AZ. Can do the LTVA thing on the cheap. Perfect for a truck camper.
