OMG like WHY do Talk therapists dont mention that they are not the best to treat OCD.... I remember seeing one for 8 years and kept feeling so so bad

Wow this sounds like me after my son was born, but he is four years old now and this still sounds like me. I’m pregnant with my second and I’m terrified for my postpartum period.

@@carlacook8355 yes unfortunately. But he’s almost a year and a half now and I think I have recovered from it more quickly. I took anxiety medication during and after the pregnancy and it seemed to help.

What if the postpartum ocd was missed and the mom is still experiencing these issues 5 years later?

After my 2nd child, I developed OCD revolving around ME developing some awful disease and dying and leaving my children. After my 3rd child, I developed spiritual OCD. That I had blasphemed God and was now separated from him. My 2nd child is 10, and I’m still struggling. Thankfully less so with medication.
