It does rain here more than most areas in Canada and comparatively to other areas Real estate is also more expensive. there's pros and cons to living anywhere :) ,

If rain is all you worry about in Vancouver, you go live elsewhere where there is drought, extreme heat, forest fire, tornado, hurricane, volcanoes, earth quake, blizzard , 4 feet of snow over night. No place is perfect, weather wise Vancouver is most blessed compare to many places in other parts of the world.
