I came to the same conclusion after learning several languages and observing how gender forms work: 1. That linguistic genders do not necessarily imply genders in biological sense, 2. That in some, if not all, languages, the masculine form is the original form, 3. That in some, if not all, languages, the masculine form can represent mixed/general/neutral/unspecified/inclusive genders while the feminine form is specific/exclusive.

It is also useful to present an example from Arabic poetry, where the pronoun “He” (i.e هو) is more often used when referring to a lover (for example). This is even when it is inferred that the Poet is referring to a Female, he will still refer to her as “He”. “He” in arabic can indeed be a neutral pronoun
I always joke with my buddies about modern Arabic songs. The singer could be a male and the song will literally translate to what appears to be a love song addressed to another male, due to the masculine pronouns used. For instance a male singer would be singing "habibi whom I love ..." and the word habibi is masculine, yet every person who speaks the language understands that the the masculine form of the word is used to address a female... That's the effect of Standard Arabic on local dialects.

Great video. Just a quick English note, since it was mentioned. "it" is the 3rd person neutral singular pronoun for a thing, whereas "they" is the3rd person neutral singular pronoun for a being (as well as being a plural pronoun). I know there's some who like to complain about this matter, but it indeed is an aspect of English. For example, if you're telling a story and you say "so I was at the school, and I ran into the principal...", and I have a question, i'd ask "oh ... what did they say?" cuz i Do Not know the gender yet. But in any case, this aspect of English hasn't been used much in translation of the Quran, translations tend to translate and transfer the Binary of Arabic Huwa/Hiya, regardless of which of the 3 Arabic aspects of Masculine for usage it is.

Much awaited and unanswered question answered. JzkAllah. Only problem/concern I have or fail to understand is that why such crucial info is not taught at early stage? It is due to these vague incorrect translations create Chinese whispers, and therefore misunderstanding and loss of the original faith. Such examples can be seen in the Christian faith, Hinduism et Al, some amongst Muslim individuals. I myself used to use the word 'It' and that to be disrespectful and then changed later to use 'Allah swt' when referring to our creator.
Chinese whispers are best squashed at an early age to prolong understanding of the Faith. They must be tuaght an early stage most certainty. Many other faith believe wrong and fall farther as Chinese whispering. JhbkzmAllahs

I don’t think so, English doesn’t have gendered nouns, but I think it does apply to other European languages, like Spanish. Latine/Lantinx shouldn’t exist as Latino is correct, just like the video entails.
In Kurdish, we still use "aw" for "He", "She", and "It". The language is gender free when it comes to pronouns, so we always struggle when we learn a new language.
not really. French, Spanish, Italian, etc... have two grammatical genders, that's not changing (despite some attempts). There have been attempts at introducing neuter in Spanish for example... haven't caught on that much yet. For example, not "latino" or "latina", but "latine". German, Dutch, Russian, etc, officially have 3 genders, Male, Female, Neuter. I do not know about Celtic languages, someone more educated than me can elaborate. English Generally has no gender, except for pronouns and French loanwords/French influenced words. The "they/them" pronoun does function as a neuter singular pronoun in English. That's been an ancient aspect of English, dating back to 14th century. Not the creation of Feminism. There have been attempts at creating new pronouns, like "xe" or "ze" or whatever,.... they haven't really caught on in English.
Alhamdulillah! In Bangali language we can use "tini/ uni" (তিনি/ উনি) for this situation. Bangla is a complete and scientific language. We fought for this language in 1952.

Lately I have a question from Qur'an I hope you can answer me ,it from Ayat 21 surah 21. In last sentence says " Ve kanu lana Abidin" They were slave to "US" . But other sentences Allah says "Be slave of only me ". Why here he use "Us" ? وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَإِقَامَ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاء الزَّكَاةِ وَكَانُوا لَنَا عَابِدِينَ
Wa alikom asslam, In Arabic the plural form is used to convey greatness if the speaker is one. Allah uses the pl. form in certain positions in the Quran with this purpose. Arabs also use that method even in their everyday language, so it is not a strange concept. Hope this answers the question in shaa Allah.

I would like to add some info as well. He is a masculine pronoun and as we know masculine forms symbolise power as a general concept so He is used for God in every religion to ascertain power to God. So it is actually NOT ABOUT GENDER AT ALL.

Allah also refers to himself in the quran as we like in the aya:
75-(وَلَقَدۡ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٞ فَلَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمُجِيبُونَ)
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.
76-(وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ)
And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.

It is also useful to present an example from Arabic poetry, where the pronoun “He” (i.e هو) is more often used when referring to a lover (for example). This is even when it is inferred that the Poet is referring to a Female, he will still refer to her as “He”. “He” in arabic can indeed be a neutral pronoun

I always joke with my buddies about modern Arabic songs. The singer could be a male and the song will literally translate to what appears to be a love song addressed to another male, due to the masculine pronouns used. For instance a male singer would be singing "habibi whom I love ..." and the word habibi is masculine, yet every person who speaks the language understands that the the masculine form of the word is used to address a female...
That's the effect of Standard Arabic on local dialects.

Great video. Just a quick English note, since it was mentioned. "it" is the 3rd person neutral singular pronoun for a thing, whereas "they" is the3rd person neutral singular pronoun for a being (as well as being a plural pronoun). I know there's some who like to complain about this matter, but it indeed is an aspect of English. For example, if you're telling a story and you say "so I was at the school, and I ran into the principal...", and I have a question, i'd ask "oh ... what did they say?" cuz i Do Not know the gender yet.
But in any case, this aspect of English hasn't been used much in translation of the Quran, translations tend to translate and transfer the Binary of Arabic Huwa/Hiya, regardless of which of the 3 Arabic aspects of Masculine for usage it is.

Only problem/concern I have or fail to understand is that why such crucial info is not taught at early stage?
It is due to these vague incorrect translations create Chinese whispers, and therefore misunderstanding and loss of the original faith. Such examples can be seen in the Christian faith, Hinduism et Al, some amongst Muslim individuals.
I myself used to use the word 'It' and that to be disrespectful and then changed later to use 'Allah swt' when referring to our creator.
Chinese whispers are best squashed at an early age to prolong understanding of the Faith. They must be tuaght an early stage most certainty. Many other faith believe wrong and fall farther as Chinese whispering. JhbkzmAllahs

I think in English & other European languages it was similar case until feminism made it compulsory to add extra pronouns in the name equality due to which, idiots are still forging more pronouns till now.
Like recently for more inclusivity the word batter will be used instead of Batsmen while referring to female cricketers.
I don’t think so, English doesn’t have gendered nouns, but I think it does apply to other European languages, like Spanish. Latine/Lantinx shouldn’t exist as Latino is correct, just like the video entails.
In Kurdish, we still use "aw" for "He", "She", and "It". The language is gender free when it comes to pronouns, so we always struggle when we learn a new language.

French, Spanish, Italian, etc... have two grammatical genders, that's not changing (despite some attempts).
There have been attempts at introducing neuter in Spanish for example... haven't caught on that much yet. For example, not "latino" or "latina", but "latine".
German, Dutch, Russian, etc, officially have 3 genders, Male, Female, Neuter.
I do not know about Celtic languages, someone more educated than me can elaborate.
English Generally has no gender, except for pronouns and French loanwords/French influenced words. The "they/them" pronoun does function as a neuter singular pronoun in English. That's been an ancient aspect of English, dating back to 14th century. Not the creation of Feminism.
There have been attempts at creating new pronouns, like "xe" or "ze" or whatever,.... they haven't really caught on in English.

for example, the word "قلم" - "pen" in Arabic is "هذا القلم" - "this pen" where the word "this" is in the male form
but the word "طاولة" - "table" in Arabic is "هذه الطاولة" - "this table" where the word "this" is in the female form
"هذا" is in the male form
"هذه" is in the female form

Wa alikom asslam,
In Arabic the plural form is used to convey greatness if the speaker is one. Allah uses the pl. form in certain positions in the Quran with this purpose. Arabs also use that method even in their everyday language, so it is not a strange concept.

I would like to add some info as well. He is a masculine pronoun and as we know masculine forms symbolise power as a general concept so He is used for God in every religion to ascertain power to God. So it is actually NOT ABOUT GENDER AT ALL.

not to create a sense of masculinity for God astagfirrulah... GOD IS NOT A MAN NOR MASCULINE and doesn’t NEED male pronouns to express power He has the whole Quran.

but there's difference bw masculine Pronouns and Relative Pronoun...
here God refers his SELF ( not himself ) as "Masculine "..."Howa" and not hiya.
i think it's a metaphoric expression backed by Arabian culture ( caz Howa qualifies a gender, which is not fulfilled your definition)
