    In preparing this video, I used:
    Research مصادر التفسير by Dr. Musa'd At-Tayyar

    Different tafsir books (ibn katheer - Al-baghawi - As-sa'di)

    There’s another important aspect in Tafseer, it’s knowledge of Qira’aat (recitation modes). And it also explains some of the tafseer of some Sahabah or Tabe’een.

    What the Brother says in this channel doesn't just apply to Non Arabs, it also applies to Arabs, too.
    That's why even if you know Clasical and Modern Arabic, it's simply not enough.
    There's a lot of studying that is needed. In fact, writing up a tafsir can take years to do due to the amount of research required. It's not as simple as me saying this ayah means this and that.
    It's like studying Shakespeare. You can't just learn it from studying on your own, you need to take lessons.
    This is why this phenomena of self-taught scholars is not a good thing.
    This is why you need to study under real, traditional male and female not scholars, not like many scholars in the East and West who compromise on their religion, or say stuff like, we need to rethink our tradition etc etc.
    “Whoever was given a fatwaa with no proof, his sin will go back on the one who gave him the fatwaa
    (Saheeh; narrated by Imaam Ahmad, 2/321).
    This is why the scholars say that if someone unqualified gives a ruling, even if he is right, he will go to hell.
    And this also applies to an Arab, don't forget that.
    As the Brother said a lot of verses require context and tafsir. Once you do that, it's way easier to do deep pondering.
    For example, the people of hijr. If you just read the words of ashab al-hijr, which is translated as stone track, you might think they're a different group of people who are basically unknown. But when you read the tafsir, you realize they are a part of the people of Saalih alayhis salam.
    And there are other examples that people can mention, too.

    Salamun alaikum, Brother your last sentences is very important. I have a few questions about the interpretation of your view about the whole thing.
    1. surah Kawther: why it can't be the meaning "plenty" : which could include the Kawther river?
    2. Lahual Hadith: other than that one sahaba, I couldn't find anyone else called that means singing. Rather there were more hadith those show that during prophet's (pbuh) time he was present where there were singing.
    3. Salah: I don't understand why you differentiate prayer with dua ... Salah is defiadefinitly dua in a more organized way.

    I respect you as I have learnt a lot from your web site. In general I also agree with the concepts which you have described in this video. But for Al-Quran it is difficult for me to digest it, as Al Quran is reveled for the guidance of mankind and for every person it is difficult to approach "Real Scholars" of Al Quran for explanation. Already in our society, like Pakistan most of the people recite Al-Quran without understanding its meaning and the result is that the teaching of Al-Quran does not affect on their life and. on the society as a whole. The results is that we are "Muslim only be Name". Moreover in Al-Quran Allah has saidولقد يسرناالقرآن للذكر فهل من مدكر (54:17). Waiting for your words.

    • @HATL201
      @HATL201 10 месяцев назад +1

      I'm from Pakistan, and it's not that you should not read the translation of the Qur'an and benefit from it, but rather you should not interpret the Qur'an by your own logic and reasoning.
      Of course, the main message of the Qur'an is very clear, which is to believe that Allah is One, and to believe in His messengers (may Allah's peace be upon them all) and His angels, and to believe in the Heaven and the Hell etc.
      But when it comes to verses that require explanation, you should not interpret them on your own or take knowledge from people who are not upon the manhaj of the salaf.
      Regardless, if you're a Pakistani and understand Urdu, I recommend reading Sheikh Muhammad Junagarhi's translation, it also contains footnotes for better understanding.
      The real problem with Muslim ummah these days is that Islam is not our first priority, we don't even strive to learn and reach the truth. Allah indeed guides those who look for the truth. We need to teach our children the tawheed, make them pray 5 times a day and implement Islam in our lives.
      The reason why a lot of Muslims are in a state of confusion is because of our own sins, otherwise, the truth is clear. And the truth is the manhaj of the salaf.
      People like Dr. Israr, Sahil Adeem, Engineer Mirza, Ghamidi etc are all deviants and misguided individuals, because they all oppose the manhaj of the salaf.

    • @hariranormal5584
      @hariranormal5584 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@HATL201
      Even that has problems. The children part. See, many of them just FORCE their children, and do things like "DID YOU PRAY??? NO??? THEN DON'T PLAY GAMES"
      This is still the wrong way. There is no doubt *much* of the children from say 2000-2010 generation at least (that's all I can relate with, I am within this range) have been raised with this. Many pray for the sake that their parents force them to, and nobody truly ever fears Allah on their own. This is why sometimes I feel like a revert is probably the most purest or having the "best fear", is he was thought all the wrong since childhood or he made it himself, and then he understood the truth and changed his mind slowly. Most of us native Muslims never had this phase, we just do prayers because "Parents thought me", "They told its a good thing"
      I myself never even cared for a single ounce of reasoning, education, anything deen based. I used to do it because "parents did it", "its a nice act". Finally it were YT videos like these ones which I slowly clicked, tried to understand at the age of 17 (like a year ago..) and then finally understood the depths of what our religion actually is, and it makes much more sense with clarity. I do not pray anymore because "parents told me", rather because I know the importance of each prayer and the consequences of missing them. I will be the one accountable for it, nobody else will.

    • @HATL201
      @HATL201 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@hariranormal5584 Brother, do you have any idea how much negligence is on parents' part? Just telling the children to pray is not enough.
      It's about implementing Islam in your life. How many parents truly raise their children according to the Qur'an and Sunnah amd teach them why they believe in what they believe in?
      How many parents instill the love of Sunnah and the Salaf, teach them manhaj, warn them about the deviant ideologies, deviant sects and teach them about the types of Tawheed and Shirk?
      Parents install a big TV in the living room and give their children the freedom to use internet from a very young age, the children grow up watching all kind of filth.
      They listen to all kinds of deviants, atheists, ex-muslims and philosophers on the internet, with no check and balance by their parents.
      How many fathers sit with their children every day and go through verses of the Qur'an and teach them reliable tafsir or tell them stories of the Sahabah and have fun engaging discussions on Islam?
      Unfortunately the reality is that, the children are not raised according to Islam, of course in that way, the prayer will seem like a burden to them. They will love prayer if they've been raised knowing why prayer is so important and have taqwa.
      If parents truly raise their children according to islamic teachings, InShaAllah they will love the Qur'an and Sunnah and will implement it in their lives without consider it a burden.
      And we already see that in many families where parents are righteous, their children are also righteous Alhamdulillah.
      May Allah سبحانه وتعالى make it easy for all of us. Ameen.

      @@fahimsiddiqui4387 Your logic that it is guidance for everyone so no tafsir needed does not work. Non arabs depend on translations. So yes they are depedning on other humans' interpretation whom they trust. Knowing arabic takes you to a certain point. But it is not to the point where you can just put tafsirs aside. The video already gave many reasons. The same thing can be said to mean different things.

    Best understanding Quran is by the Quran itself...
    Why? Because its alot safer! Quran promises its authenticity! interpretation came from hadits etc would not guarantee you from originality... Book of hadits its not a Holybook it cames from filtering keep that in mind...
    And in jewish tradition from example talmud is more populer than the torah... because again they said its better not to unterpreted a holybook torah by yourself...
    We dont want to repeat that mistake no more...!

      In my opinion and from what i have found, i think he is not entirely wrong. The faith of Allah has been greatly institutionalized. If you have seen most people who became Muslims, they will tell they actual read the book and found that the message was very straightforward, I am not saying they understand the book fully, but the fundamentals are well presented. Like myself, on what grounds do i reject rabbinical Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism and trinitarian Christianity? It is through the Quran. I also feel that the scholastic standpoint is not perfect either neither is the traditional standpoint. Any religion or doctrine that traces its genesis from sources that come after its complete revelation, is rejected in my eyes primarily using the Quran. The problem comes when people listen and starts calling you names and what not simply because you happen to not agree with the institutionally agreed consensus. We should be able to argue these positions and views without being labelled Mushriks or Munafiqs considering we all claim a Quranic genesis which, using critical analysis from each side will show that each side doesnt find the genesis of one's doctrine in the book. Just my thoughts

    Salam. Thanks for your explanation.
    Two questions:
    1. If we believe in all prophets, doesn’t that mean we equally believe that all were prophets. They may have ranks in Allah’s eyes but we don’t know that. It is not our place to rank them. Unless you can show any level 1 evidence that one is superior than other.
    2. So you assert that understanding Quran is a complicated process and you discourage the reader from understanding what he is reading. However, level 1 evidence suggests that Quran is easy to understand. ولقد يسرنا القرآن للذكر فهل من مدكر
    And all of the tafseer you referred to none is written by sahaba, tabien, or taba tabien. Aren’t you contradicting yourself?

    • @waseemsstudy9140
      @waseemsstudy9140 8 месяцев назад

      @@halaoghli5257 yes he laid out the methodology very nicely. The best he said is to explain Quran by Quran. So if you want to know the meaning of a word in Quran look for it in other places in Quran itself. If you can’t find it, see if in Hadith you can find it. If you can’t find it in Hadith also but have some scholar’s opinion, see what that opinion is based on. If it is based on Quran and Hadith then take it. If it is based on his own guess then that doesn’t help. You are better off giving up on this chase. For if it was that important, Allah would have made it clear. As Quran says that there are muhkimat and mutashabihat. But if you say oh no this is not my job to do tafseer and not ponder over what Quran is saying then not sure what good that reading is. May Allah guide us all.

    Quran: don't make any distinctions between the Messengers.
    Hadithists/tafsir: whoever thinks theres no distinctions between Messengers is in error because so-n-so said so.

    The foundation for Salvation is easy and available to those that Allah has decided to Guide. Those with deviant hearts who seek a tafseer out of insincerity will end up on a wrong path.
    Allah has mentioned that the Quran is the best Hadith and The Best Tafsir and we have to rely and trust this. With Allah everything is possible and without Allah nothing can be achieved. I would not be surprised if Allah has guided someone who does not speak a word of Arabic to higher levels than a scholar of Arabic as an example. Allah guides who he wills. Some of the prophets contemporaries understood the language flawlessly and still didn’t believe. Any tafseer should be increasing you in good deeds thereby pleasing Allah, or increasing you in that which Allah loves or increasing you in attaining Janna or likewise all this for those you around you (by Allah’s will) and not instead cause discord nor the opposite. The whole purpose of anything is farther one’s success rate to Janna and farther those around them by Allah’s will. May Allah increase us in knowledge that may benefit our success to Janna. RabbunAllahu ❤

    The study of Quran and Tafseer are very strict and meticulous, to avoid any wrong interpretation and misguidance toward new learner. That is the beauty of Islam. When in doubt we always go back to the original source the Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Unlike some religion where you can re-interpret the creed whatever you will.

    I am learning the Quran and why does the Quran state its a "clear message" but it's needed to learn different tafsir?

      This is how the devil has put a thousand barriers between Muslims and the book of their God; by convincing them it's the righteous thing to do.
      As the brother said there are many misguided tafaseer. And even worse; Muslims have placed Hadeeth over the Quran clearly. There are many Hadeeths that reduce and minify what the Quran says or outrightly contradict it, and Muslims are still holding on to them.
      Obviously we're not telling to ignore all the tafaseer and all Hadeeth; we're just telling that there is no any other book than the Quran that you're obliged to follow, and that you can actually understand most of what the Quran is saying ESPICIALLY the foundational messages.

    سورة البقرة، آية 243، صفحة 39
    أَ لَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا مِنْ دِيارِهِمْ وَ هُمْ أُلُوفٌ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ فَقالَ لَهُمُ اللَّهُ مُوتُوا ثُمَّ أَحْياهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَ لكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لا يَشْكُرُونَ
    Ooloof means cluster together
    On the other hand , alaaf means thousands of as it mentioned below:
    سورة آل عمران، آية 124، صفحة 66
    إِذْ تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَ لَنْ يَكْفِيَكُمْ أَنْ يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِثَلاثَةِ آلافٍ مِنَ الْمَلائِكَةِ مُنْزَلِينَ
    The verb alafa in attribute goes ooloof but the noun alf turns alaaf in plural form
