Great Explaination Sir.😊 Quran explains it selfs without Tafseers. Yep, we do need Tafseers for some events like battle of badr and all that but we have to investigate them Tafseers and then pick up the sounding ones. When I read Quran I understand verses from other verses and how words are used in other verses The Quran explains it self.
Not saying tht you didnt mention tafseer is important. But just reading th translation doesnt suffice. The tafseer gives us the whole context as to why, where and when the Surah was revealed

Why do you prohibit ˹yourself˺ from what Allah has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful." Do You understand what the Prophet ﷺ was being asked about? And what he did to please his wives?

I've been going to the gym regularly myself for a while and it's a difficult place for me because of how the female members are dressed. I try to keep to myself and concentrate on my program but it would be Impossible not see other people in the gym. What advice do you have? Jazakallah khairun
السلام عليكم ورحمه الله وبركاته No where does the Quran say you can't contemplate Quran without tafsir . On the contrary it tells you to do tadabbur and taffakur. Yes Tafsir helps and goes indepth but beware of placing scholarly opinions above your relationship with the word of Allah
We need to read tafsir to understand the context & then we can do tadabbur to understand why Allah send a ayat at that time/how a ayat is relevant in my life/our society 🤍 But obviously you can disagree with scholar's opinion what is unfortunately a taboo in muslim world

A translation of Quran is always a tafsir of the Quran because you can't have a perfect translation it. Indeed, Quran is like an infinite treasure, but you need a guide, a map to get to it. Assalamu Alaykum, I lost some of my intellectual capacity due to mental health issues and treatment so I am slower when I try to study deen or Quran slower than I was in my twenties and teen years so I was wondering if I will be rewarded for that as for example a man with his full capacities because I am a woman in her thirties and I believe men are more intelligent in general when it comes to deen because of عاطفة maybe women lose some capacities and also because of raising children Allah knows best Soubhanahu Wa ta3ala, I mean can I hope for the reward of someone with better capacities and of men since I am a woman with mental health issues. I feel so far, of course we make duaa for shifa and شرح الصدر but there is also a Hadith about a woman who asked Rassul Allah SallaLahu Alayhi Wa Salem for complete recovery she had epilepsy and He SallaLahu Alayhi Wa Salem told her that if she had Sabr she will have Jannah and she chose Sabr and Jannah over recovery. و الله أعلم
