Before this video I thought when Allah said "We" it means Allah and the Angels. Now I really know what it means and why Allah uses it. I have a basic Arabic language knowledge and MasyaAllah thank you brother for your clear explanation.

There seem to be other differences :
- singular : talking about the person
- plural : talking about actions, likely executed by malika
but not to actions that require creation
Same thought
This is actually the correct answer. God has a council of beings around Himself (angelic & spiritual) who work for Him, which are called “Al-Mali’ul-‘Al’ā” (The Supreme Council/The Divine Assembly/The Highest Elite Chiefs) which even the Bible talks about. God doesn’t need them, but merely chooses to use them just as He chose to create & use us-and they carry out God’s desired actions, including driving the clouds and other natural phenomenon (as the Qur’an frequently mentions) which is why God says things like “WE have sent down rain from the sky” since it was His spiritual subordinates that also participated in this action. The same goes for revealing Scripture & Revelation like the Qur’an (see Surah Al-Qadr), which is why God says “WE have sent down the Qur’an” and so on, since Gabriel and other angels took part. Hence these are all somewhat of a “team effort” (with God being in full control of course), which is why the plural “We” and “Us” and “Our” is used. So in fact it IS a literal plurality of beings, but it doesn’t make those other angelic & spiritual beings ‘gods’ or worthy of worship in any way, shape or form. They are merely “honored servants” (‘ibādun mukramūn’) as the Qur’an calls them, who are under God’s command, and have no knowledge or power of their own but what they are given. This is why the ancient peoples before us were so lost & misguided-they worshipped the angels and spirits (jinn) as Gods and divine beings (the polytheistic pantheons of old), whereas the Qur’an clarifies to us that they are merely servant-creations of God. It doesn’t deny their existence, or even their influence on the world, but merely denies their alleged “divine” status which many people have falsely labeled them with. The Qur’an reminds us that God alone is perfect, unique, and worthy of worship-so we should serve Him alone, just as these angelic & spirit-beings themselves do.
This is wrong, when Allah spoke to Musa, he used We, and we know He spoke to him directly, not through an angel. Understanding it this way would give a trinitarian an argument against you. The reason is only one, it is for grandiose.
Allah is trinity 😅. Proving Christianity. We does not include angels
I used to ask this question myself but Alhamdulilah you've proofed my doubt
What wus your doubt I'm curious
@@888br in my case I always assumed when God said We he meant him and the Angels. Or as in God and his divine creation (Angels).
@@NikaSun54 thanks for your sharing hermano
@@NikaSun54 and thats true its god and his angels

That is great. Even I did not know. Actually in my native language plural is a respect too.
@@zenalexander9278 Wow. I have to learn Indonesian. My native language is Persian and other Kurdish. And in both keep respect for plural. Hail to the Asia😂😂😂
Fun Fact: Indonesian and malay language is 95% same. If you learn Malay/Indo, you'll get to travel to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei.
In Kashmiri language plural form is also used for respect of single person.

May Allah bless you brother. Greetings from Houston Tx.
Subhanallah... Barakallahufiikum
Thank you for the clear explanation.
Thank you for sharing. I'm trying my best to learn and understand.
ASA.. Great insight! To add to this- in Quranic Arabic grammar this " We/Us/" is first person plural... Meaning the speaker ( Allah) - first person- gives commands to other things, etc. ( angels, creation, etc)
JazakAllah Khair
I remember a video on free Quran education that tells us that Allah when he is referring himself in the first person he is either showing extreme anger or extreme Love

Hello thank you very much for your very informative and helpful videos on Quran and Arabic. I have noticed recently that in recitation of Quran, Arabs place a Kasrah where there is a sokun. E.g. I would have said "fa'bodni" whereas I think you pronounce it as "fa'bodeni". Am I correct or is my hearing bad? Thank you again
Because qalqalah.
He actually said fa'bodni when he read the Ayah yet there are some cases when we use kasrah instead of sokun which of them is when you have two sokun lined up so you have to change the first sokun into a Kasrah to make it easier and better for pronouncing.
I m also searching answer of this question, thanks
Maa shaa-a llah easy and academical !!!
Alhamdulillah. Tq
Nice, JAK. I also believe that when Allah wills something that involves others like revealing the Quran in which the words of Allah need a mediator like Angel Gabriel, He use “we” but when Allah refers to Him alone He uses “I”.
Your absolutely right. Long time ago a non Muslim asked me using plural and singular about Allah in Quran. My answer was, Using plural for a reason either for greatness and respect of Allah or include Allah, prophets and angels. for example Allah is a boos or principle commands prophets and angels for a duty. So their goal is the same to work together for humanity and religion. In many language including English using plural for respect, but for others not for self.
Thank you
Excellent
جزاكم الله خيرا 😊
You just answered my Question
Jazakallah
Bohot bohot shukriya
Thanks for information.
But I heard different things about it.
Thanks
Salam/Peace. May Allah swt guide you, increase you in faith and knowledge. May He make you one of those whom He loves and who love Him.
HE is HIMSELF and that means HE is neither like anything nor anything is like HIM. The arabs denoted HIM as Allah, which literally refer to as The Rab(The God) which is incorrect. The sentence There is no God but Allah is telling us that HE is not God but Allah. The word Allah in this sentence refers to all the absolute names and attributes, which are the substances with which creations come into existence(appears).
The word WE used in the verses refers to HIS absolute names and attributes.
ما شاء الله ..
Ustadh could you talk about the use of anzala rather than nazzala when Allah talks about sending down rain(Surah Al Mu'minun, Verse 18) in a future video? Thanks, and I am a big fan of your content!
subhana allah!!
What software do you use to edit videos like this and are there any tips/tutorial to do a teaching-like-presentation like yours ? Thank you.
thanks
Allah words are precise and none knows the temptation except Allah and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge, I believe he means he, him means him ,we means we, the spirit of the Allah is one, the physical dies and Allah knows where to place his message.
Allahu akbar
Best islamic channel
Moreover, we is only used for first person. Whenever Allah is mentioned in third person, only singular pronouns are used.
Jazak Allah khayr for the explanations..As per my understanding also when Allah use the pronoun we is also to show us human to be humble..As for the word I or ana in arabic has an arrogance. Thats is why in business communications they advise us to use we and not I when writing or speaking to someone.
Very well explained video. The same goes for The Hebrew Bible as the are both semitic languages. I'll share this with my Christian colleagues who believe it means plural of numbers Instead of Greatness
Qs 21:17,
If We had wished to find a pastime, We could have found it in Our presence - if We ever did.
(???)
لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له
A king says"we sre going to send our team to the location, who would like to go?" Thus a single leader speak as a whole team of his subordinates.
كل الاحترام
There are speeches including the one above about rain are the speeches of angels as the carry out the command God Almighty and mentioned to make sure to the listeners that the angels were responsible for many works related to the universe under His command.
Like سورة القدر for example.
Kindly discuss further on my above comment, please, ya Ustadh kareem.
I have been wondering and want to ask your favourite reference on English Arabic translation please ?
Now I understand ,before I was very confused that why this word nahno instead Allah is one but he Allah used the word nahno it's mean is not one because he said him self nahno but now ALHAMDULILLAH I watch this vodio to make me understand ... I had this question long time ago but now I got the answer ALHAMDULILLAH

Saying we is Style of KING & Allah Is Greatest KING😍
Anybody, could please help me, what is the meaning of "plural more than two" (7:31 minutes)? While something that i understand if نحن show greatness in singular.
