Nice views and it's nice the elevation isn't too much. Makes for an easier climb.

Beautiful and very informative well done video. I plan on doing this in early October. Is the trail well marked and is it obvious you need to cross the creek?

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the video! The trail is very obvious as you make your way to Helen Lake. Once past the lake, a bit of route finding is necessary as mentioned in the video. It's easy to get off track on the ridge so definitely research that aspect of the hike but once you're headed to the summit, the trail is self explanatory. You will have to cross the creek ... the way is obvious once you get there. I hope the weather holds for you when you go, it will be spectacular in the early autumn! Have a safe journey and let us know how it was!

Funny how at the beginning of the video you make a point of saying dogs must be on a leash but then half way through the video the dog is no longer on the leash. I believe there is a fine for not keeping your dog on a leash. Please respect Park Canada's rules regarding bringing pets.

I appreciate your comment and you’re right to point it out! I definitely understand the importance of following Park Canada’s rules, and I always strive to do so. What you saw in the video was when the owner (not me) took off the leash for the final ascent to the summit. There were no other hikers around and we saw no wildlife so the decision was made to let the dog off the leash. I assure you I take pet safety and park regulations seriously. Your feedback is valuable, and I’ll be more mindful of how these moments come across in future videos. Thanks again for watching and for your concern!

@@therockymountaintrails at 13:42 the dog is off leash on the shore of Helen Lake as well. Sometimes I think as the trip leader you may have to not allow dogs to come if the terrain is so steep that by holding onto a leash it could cause the owner to fall. I get that balance is super important. I saw a dog just about pull their owner down a steep slope at the short cut from the ridge above Helen Lake last week. The dog was large and saw some Ptarmigans and that it wanted to chase. An accident waiting to happen. ps...I am a dog lover!
